A Note From the Author

Okay–so basically I have a novella pretty close to being ready to ship out and I’m toying with the idea of attempting a web serial. 

“But, P-Comp,” you might say, “TiWWaN is basically a serial. And a slow one at that.” 

Right you are, my fine friend. Right you are. But, if I was doing a serial professionally, I’d keep much stricter release dates, and before publishing any of the serial I’d get into the habit of the schedule to avoid unprofessionally disappointing any readers I might have. Also, planning. Lots and lots of planning before the project gets off the ground. 

TiWWaN is, of course, what I do for recreation and I love it. It’s not going anywhere, regardless of what I decide–not to worry. Besides, this hypothetical serial probably wouldn’t happen for a year at least. 

“So… why are you telling us this?” you might say now. 

Because I’m at a point in my life at this moment that I really need to have direction which isn’t “go to job, get paid, throw that money I just earned into the Void of Debt.” I’ve wanted for years, more than anything, to be a writer, to be published. The only way that’s happening is if I do something about it. Really apply the skills I’ve developed and refine them further. I have a feeling now is the time to try to break into some level of publication. You know, before time runs out and all that jazz.

But I’m telling you this because I’m wondering if there’s any interest at all in web serials or in any original work that I do, at least from this audience. If you’re 500% just here for TiWWaN and any other TF2 stuff I do, more power to you! I appreciate that you’re here! I’m pleased as peach pie, in all honesty, and I couldn’t ask for more! 

On the off-chance that you could be interested, though, (in the hypothetical serial or the novella) please do let me know! I can pitch the idea further if you like. 

Now, I’m not going to go on about this anymore, because this is a TF2 blog and not for shameless self-promotion, but I just thought I’d put it out there.
