clark shouting "people were going to DIE" in the face of the "think of the consequences of your actions" argument is so fucking important to me bc it really IS that simple you can't look at a genocide and just twiddler your thumbs bc you're a afraid of the consequences ESPECIALLY when you can do something about it and THATS WHAT CLARK DID. WITHOUT HESITATION. WITHOUT CONSIDERING HOW IT COULD HURT HIM. bc hes a good person and in his brain its really just people were going to die so i had to step in bc what else would it be. superman i love you i love you i love you

Asexual people who feel pressured into having sex when they don’t want to and queer people that are afraid or ashamed of having sex even though they want to are actually being repressed by the same societal forces but nobody seems to want to talk about that

perisex people when you ask them to stop defending the use a slur for intersex people: (suddenly they’re really into snail biology but not into it enough to recognize let alone use the perfectly fine alternative words to talk about snail reproductive biology and the reproductive biology of similar organisms)

Getting recommended these "biology was never binary" stickers multiple times in multiple flag colors, they're all animals that are commonly known for their intersex variations
All the flags are trans and nb
None of the flags are intersex
Like,, yeah, the fact that sex isn't even binary is (sometimes) a good argument against bigots to show they're idiots, but don't,, fucking choose a quote that is INHERENTLY intersex and then proceed to act like this is solely a trans thing/exclude intersex people from a phrase that is INHERENTLY about us, I keep noticing stuff like this more and more, we do not exist solely to be a spectacle or solely to be a convenient argument, we are alive, we aren't just here for debate purposes ?? It'd be entirely different if the intersex colors were literally just added onto the lineup of flags, instead of using our existence solely for other groups awareness while removing our own from it.

… you absolutely cannot support disabled people and support the police at the same time. the police routinely abuse and murder disabled people and are not only exonerated, they are celebrated for it. the police as an institution is antithetical to disabled liberation. there is no version of reality where a police state and disabled safety can coexist.

disabled people who do not directly "contribute" to society and need large amounts of care and resources to survive deserve not only to survive but to have comfort, stability, and fun within their lives while they do. no compromises.

I get jealous of able bodied people, but I can't help but watch them do what I'll never be able to do again
I used to dance. I used to do dancing, but quit for unrelated reasons (teen girls are fucking assholes to the poor and visibly queer, apparently.) but I used to. And even after I quit, I kept dancing to things. I kept doing little dances for my own fun. I kept learning dances to songs.
But I can't anymore. I can barely do a tiktok dance without passing out anymore. I can barely make it through the first few VERSES.. I haven't been this bad since I was bedridden and sleeping the days away.
I was getting better for a while. I could do things again. I learned an ENTIRE DANCE last school year. But here I am. Struggling to even take a shower without having to sit down. Struggling to even get up to make microwave food. Struggling to make it through the school I worked my ASS OFF to get into. The class i WANTED TO DO since I was in 7th.
Because I was getting better.
But now I'm worse. And I'm getting even worse.
I hurt so much and I get tired so easily and I'm expected to keep up with the able bodies.
I just want to dance
But I'm not even allowed to do that

I seen people on TikTok giving god awful advice on what to wear to a protest. Some “advice” was “wear heavy goth makeup, platform boots, lots of belts and chains, etc” heavily alternative clothes.
NO! Don’t do that.
The thing about protests is you never know who is going to show up, it doesn’t matter how peaceful it is, someone can show up and incite violence whether it’s other citizens or cops.
For your safety do NOT wear something that will make you stand out.
All black clothes are good
Pants and long sleeves even better
Wear shoes you can run in
Cover your tattoos and piercings
Bring a face mask
Sun glasses
Bring water
Backpack or small bag that’s hands free (for snacks, water, first aid, etc
If things turn violent, those violent people will go after the ones who stand out first. So dress safe, stay safe!

in the same vein, just as it doesn't matter why or how someone is disabled, it doesn't matter why or how someone became homeless or addicted to something. support that's conditional on the reason being acceptable to you isn't real support.

Hey, in the horror of the new law in the uk which defines what makes a woman, please don't forget about intersex women. They're not getting affected by it "by proxy" or whatever. It is a real danger for intersex people as well.

you have to be able to defend people who are receiving unjust treatment even if they annoy you even if you personally find them extremely annoying you still have to be able to stand up and say "well thats fucked up"

if your response to "diagnosed autistics in the US are having HIPPA violated to have their names put on a list by the government" is "so happy i was never diagnosed!"... then you are actually not helping in the slightest.
most of us with diagnoses were diagnosed as children, we didn't get a choice. and now we are getting put on a list, with those who are high support needs facing the most danger from said lists.
rubbing it in our faces that you won't be on said list is hurtful. its not funny. its not cute.
