Hey everyone, please read this;

VCA Animal Hospital, Piedmont Road, Atlanta Georgia. Dr. Brad Phillips.

This hospital is horrible. We took our dog, Murphy, there because he was throwing up blood. Dr. Brad charged us over $1600 for an initial exam. The next day, all office staff let us know that Murphy was doing fine and should be released by the afternoon. at 1400 hrs we received a call from Dr. Brad Phillips stating Murphy needed emergency surgery that would cost us over $3,000. When we questioned the amount along with the reasoning for emergency surgery, he became very short tempered and irritable. 

We said we would just come to pick our dog up, he explained that it would be ‘inhuamne’ to pick up our dog as he would only live 7-14 days and he might as well put the dog to sleep if we would come to pick him up and he needed to put him to sleep if that’s what we planned on doing. 

We picked our dog up anyways, after being price shamed by Dr. Phillips. ‘’Oh, you don’t have $5,000 to take care of your dog?’’ The next day, we took our dog to a different vet. That new vet did the same test that VCA charged us $1600 for. 

We paid $75, Murphy received heartburn medicine and was fine and released immediately. We’ve complained to VCA, they never even had the courtesy to call us back.

Dr. Brad Phillips was going to kill a perfectly healthy dog.
