εïз ⬦        REJECTS is often called the brainchild of the now deceased and former Angelico CEO, Son Jinhwa, as he produced and composed all of their music. He also acted as the group's creative director until his departure from the company.

Originally starting off with a soft and sweet concept, Rejects would debut with the mini album "Jukebox Hits" and its accompanying title track, Dance On. The group would gain attention for being a female-heavy co-ed group with three female members and only two male members. The attention also came from members Sunhee and Miyu, both being members of previously failed Angelico groups. The public also enjoyed the softer concept, something that hadn't been seen in K-pop for a long time.

The group's popularity would take off with COPYCAT, their second mini album with a title track under the same name. The group would catch the public eye due to them all dying their hair bleached blond and wearing matching outfits for the entirety of their promotional period. They would snag their first win with this song and gain a sizable fanbase thanks to the unique sound and concept.

HYPEboy would act as the group's first single and only heighten their popularity, introducing the group to international audiences as the song would chart on the Billboard Hot 100. Despite the success in the West, REJECTS would adamantly refuse to tour or promote overseas, which was strange to fans as two of the five members, Reid and Aiden, were from America. Despite this, HYPEboy would become their most awarded track with over 7 music show wins and multiple SOTY nominations.

Their last project as a five-piece would be their third mini album, Water Slides, with the title track FLIP THAT. Flip That performed well but could not live up to the success of HYPEboy. Not like it mattered much anyway, as three weeks into their promotions, their former leader Sunhee would be found dead, only being able to be identified by dental records.

The groups, releasing very few statements about the loss, would go on a year-long hiatus where they would regroup and rebrand.

REJECTS reappeared in 2021 with eight members: Reid, Jieun, Aiden, Miyu, Hanbin, Love, Jisu, and Bea. The soft concept was seemingly dropped for a more mature and darker concept while still keeping a light and easy sound to their music. They reentered the scene with their first full album, "The Diary of a Lost Cause," with the title track Loving Me. Loving Me would prove to be a success, with the music video causing a stir as the members were very touchy during it, which would become a theme throughout their music videos.

After Loving Me came Ditto, which was a repackable of The Diary of a Lost Cause. Ditto would absolutely destroy any chart it managed to find itself on. Korea, America, Europe, Japan, Thailand––This song was everywhere, and everyone was obsessed with it and the music video for it. Ditto would break their previous record of 7 music show wins and gain 17 music show wins for the group and win them Song Of The Year at MAMA, making them the first co-ed group to win in a major category.

Either way, a mini album with a title track of the same name would not live up to the success of Ditto but would mark the first time Rejects would travel overseas to promote their music, mainly promoting in Europe, Japan, and Southeast Asia with only a few stops in America which rang weird to fans as a majority of the group was American. Still, their success was undeniable.

Sensitive, a controversial track amongst fans, came with a sudden member change. In the midst of promotions, Jisu would just vanish from the lineup and be replaced with Ash, a former Cicada member. There was never an official statement from Jisu or Angelico on the matter. They just continued on as if nothing happened. This left a weird taste in fans' mouths, but their worries were washed away when their creative director, Son Jinhwa, explained that this move is a part of the group's evergrowing lore. Jisu would make a public appearance again to assure fans that this was the plan all along and that he knew this was coming. Strangely, Jisu would make no other public appearances after this, and his social media would go dark. He hasn't been publicly heard from since 2022.

Marking their first comeback without Jinhwa with their second full album, "The Scratch At The Door," its title track, "Oh My God," would captivate audiences everywhere thanks to its provocative music video and even more provocative lyrics. The song, though immensely popular, would be heavily censored on music shows and sometimes outright banned. This only seemed to draw people towards the group, keeping them on their toes for their next comeback.

After the unfortunate passing of Sunhee in 2019, the group would go on a year hiatus and undergo a rebrand. With an original soft and sweet concept, when the group would reemerge in 2021, they'd take on a new and edgier concept as well as add four members: HANBIN, LOVE, JISU, and BEA.

Ash Kim was born in Melbourne, Australia in 2000 to a single mother, being the youngest child alongside his older brother. He would move to South Korea at age 9 for his mother's work. Upon moving to South Korea, Ash would attend an international school where he would meet the "coolest people" he's ever met and the ones who sparked his love for music. Logan and Jinyoung would let him join their "band" after he begged them enough to do so, taking on the position of their drummer.

They began practicing at Logan’s house as a trio up until 2013, when Logan met their fourth and final member, Grace, who would later go by the stage name Ivy. After much consideration from the boys, Grace became an official member of the band, taking a position on the bass.

The rag-tag group began busking around Seoul and performing at small venues until they were picked up by Level Up Entertainment in 2015. While the group was excited to be under an actual label, Level Up Entertainment wiped their previous discography from the internet to give the group a “fresh start.” It’s been confirmed that this was done without any of the member's consent, and they’re still upset over their old discography essentially being lost.

Upon their debut under Level Up, the band did relevantly well and garnered a small yet dedicated fanbase. They still busked around Seoul and often performed mini concerts around Korea while giving out copies of their albums in hopes of gaining more fans. While things looked fine to the public, the band was struggling creatively behind the scenes due to artistic differences with their management.

In late 2017, Ash made a post on his Instagram story expressing how trapped he felt under his company and how the group was being punished with inactivity for not conforming to the image their label wanted for them. The post was later deleted, but it caused some buzz on the internet, gaining them more support.

Despite this support, Level Up Entertainment, in what is now known as an abuse of power, would disband 4OCEANS but would not release the members of their 10-year contract. After a lengthy legal battle, Ash, Logan, and Ivy were able to get out of their contracts, while Jinyoung was not so lucky and remained under Level Up Entertainment.

Ash would join Angelico Entertainment, apparently very close to the former CEO, Son Jinhwa, and produce under the label until he made his idol debut in 2020 with the now-disbanded group Cicada. After the abrupt disbandment of the group, Ash would be added to Rejects without notice, just appearing with them on Inkigayo one day.

Lunarix has released their star-studded promotional video for their second full album: CIRCUSIX!

Set the backtrack of the interesting instrumental of their title track, the video takes the viewer through the CIRUSIX. Dressed in an extravagant ringmaster's outfit, Evie stands in front of a red curtain sweeping her arm around as the curtain behind her opens, revealing a magical carnival scene.

The arc above the entrance reads "CIRUSIX" before the camera takes the audience around the carnival.

In a quiet and dimly lit corner, Yoomi, dressed in an intricate mystical fortune teller costume, sits at a mystical booth with an aura of enchantment. Her piercing gaze remains fixed on a sparkling crystal ball, which seems to hold the secrets of the universe.

Drew from Arm Candy, intrigued by the mysterious allure of the fortune teller's booth, steps forward. Yoomi beckons him to take a seat. She peers deeply into the crystal ball and begins to reveal his fortune in her crystal ball: "After chasing anything, thing, thing, don't get burnt out."

After the cryptic message appears, the pair look up from the crystal ball and at one another in confusion before Yoomi shakes her head, putting her hand out to get paid, face unamused. Drew seems to be knocked out of his confusion, groaning inaudibly as he leans back in his seat and digs in his pocket to pay the fortune teller.

With a sweeping transition, the audience is taken outside a house of mirrors the sign on the front reading "Should we have fun today?" before going inside. Oliver and Salem from Plastic Flowers navigated through a funhouse of distorted mirrors. Their rushing and confusion mimicked that of the soundtrack playing behind them.

Each reflection revealed a different aspect of their relationship, adding a surreal touch to the video. Oliver crashes into a mirror when running towards what he assumed was Salem, falling to the ground while Salem stands behind him, looking a bit annoyed by his comedic antics.

The camera returns outside to the high-striker game, where Elliot confidently takes a swing at the Hi Striker with a comically oversized mallet. The crowd cheers in response to his showmanship, even though he hasn't hit the bell at the top. The body of the Hi Striker reads, "Na-na-na-na, na-na-na-na-na, higher!"

Unexpectedly, Laila emerges from the excited crowd, strutting forward as if she owns the entire carnival. With a sly smirk and raised eyebrows, she takes the mallet from Elliot, who appears a bit taken aback.

With a mischievous glint in her eyes, Laila raises the mallet high above her head, drawing a drumroll from the enthusiastic crowd. She brings it down with a thunderous slam, hitting the bell with a resounding ding. Laila's beaming smile lights up the carnival, and the crowd goes wild with cheers and applause. Elliot, slightly surprised, can't help but smile down at Laila, shaking his head in amusement.

Honey Blonde from Bottle Blondes takes her position behind the ticket booth of the carnival's most heart-pounding rollercoaster. The line to experience this thrilling ride snakes around the block, with anticipation running high. Honey Blonde, wearing her signature playful smile, is ready to bring joy and excitement to every rider.

As the line advances, SNS' Yuki and Mika approach the ticket booth, their arms linked with excitement. They eagerly hand over their blue-colored tickets, which curiously read, "Don't be too too too surprised!" Honey Blonde takes their tickets with a grin, ripping them in her characteristic energetic style. She points the girls towards their seats with a wink, her excitement matching theirs.

With a dramatic flair, Honey Blonde presses a big green button on the control board in front of her. The rollercoaster roars to life, and with a sudden burst of speed, it launches Yuki and Mika on a wild and exhilarating journey. The rush of wind blows Honey Blonde's hair back, and for a moment, she's taken by surprise, blinking in astonishment at the sheer intensity of the ride.

Regaining her composure, she turns to greet the next rider with a mischievous smile.

The camera moves swiftly to the giant Ferris Wheel where Aeri from KRUSH and Selene from Totally Pink sit together, both eating from two perfect-looking rainbow snowcones. As the Ferris Wheel spins, the girls laugh, playfully feeding one another and pointing down at the carnival goers below them. As Selene leans over the edge of her seat, her snowcone drops on the head of Yoora from Hashtag. Reiko gasps, jumping away from her friend before covering her mouth in shock. Reiko begins to laugh at Yoora's misfortune, causing her groupmate to glare at her before starting to chase her through the crowd.

While dashing through the bustling carnival crowd, Reiko bumps into the elegant and impeccably dressed Chloe Kwon, who playfully stumbles a few steps before gracefully stepping onto a stage platform. The crowd erupts in cheers and applause as Chloe makes her entrance. With a dazzling smile, Chloe approaches a table adorned with various sharp objects. In a display of showmanship, she grabs a knife, and the crowd's excitement reaches a fever pitch. With flair, she twirls the knife in her hand.

In a panning shot, Jisu of Rejects stands proudly in front of a spinning target, channeling his inner bravery and anticipation. Chloe takes a deep breath as she prepares for her daring act. With expert precision, she hurls the knife towards the target, and it lands with a satisfying thud, landing right next to Jisu's head. Jisu playfully shuts his eyes tightly, creating a humorous moment in the act.

The audience bursts into laughter and applause. With her signature smile still intact, Chloe confidently struts over to Jisu, getting up close and personal. They lock eyes, sharing a moment of playful tension before Chloe smoothly removes the knife from the target. As the crowd roars with excitement, Chloe and Jisu exchange a playful nod of approval. Chloe takes a gracious bow, and the audience's cheers become a deafening crescendo, celebrating the thrilling and fun-filled carnival spectacle.

The audience is ushered into a vibrant circus tent adorned with colorful banners and twinkling lights. As the girls execute their breathtaking routine, the crowd is captivated by their incredible agility and synchronized movements. Their silks flutter through the air, creating a mesmerizing dance of colors. The audience can't help but cheer and applaud.

In a playful twist, Siyeon and Taerin elegantly slide down their blue and pink silks, landing gracefully in a flurry of confetti and balloons that rain down on the dirt ground of the circus. They strike a dramatic pose, each in perfect unison, and the audience responds with laughter and applause.

The carnival's spotlight is now focused high above the crowd as Navi, dressed in a sparkling and vibrant blue trapeze artist's costume, prepares to dazzle the audience. The trapeze swings gently, waiting for her to take flight.

With a burst of energy, Navi launches herself into the air, executing a mesmerizing series of somersaults and mid-air acrobatics. Her graceful and fearless movements are perfectly in sync with the carnival's lively and enchanting atmosphere.

As Navi swings high above the crowd, Charmeine, Qiao, and Mirae watch in awe, their eyes riveted on the breathtaking spectacle. The carnival-goers around them cheer and gasp in amazement.

Navi's trapeze act is a symphony of colors and movement, matching the vibrant and dynamic music playing behind her. She waves to the crowd once she's finished her performance, smiling adorably and excitedly. As she takes a bow, the curtain closes and we're taken back to the ring master Evie who smiles at the camera.

"Are you ready for this?" She asks with a wink before the video ends, the screen cutting to black.
