GATE (2015)

or its full name GATE:  Jieitai Kano Chi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri

reminder: i will write this post as a anime fan because i haven’t read the light novel yet.

this is another anime from the A-1 pictures and in my point of view, it is a pretty good show. 

the plot: the main character is a otaku named Itami Youji, who is also work in the military to “support his hobby” (according to what Netflix translated). the anime begins with Itami going to a summer doujinshi convention and suddenly, monsters and knights(?) come out from a giant gate and they start fighting and they are also trying to kill the civilian running on the street. 

Itami saved a lot of people with his quick response, after that he got promoted to the rank of second lieutenant in the self-defense force of japan. he self-defense force is also in charge of exploring the “Speical Region”, the world behind the gate. Itami’s mission in this case is to gain trust from people of the Special Region, he is also a leader of a group from the troop(?) that is investigating things behind the gate. then Itami ends up helping people from the Special Region while ignoring the rules :) 

my comments: the art work, i have no complain. the plot, i think it is very easy to understand what is going on in spite of it related to a lot of the military and politic things.     

i don’t find it too surprising that Itami is a skilled soldier, i can easily see that through his leader skills and also his fighting skills which is kinda obvious. 

about the elf, Tuka, she sure is beautiful but we can’t see much of her power. all i can remember about her after watching the anime is her beauty and her weird father-daughter relationship with Itami, she doesn’t have a strong impression for me tho.  

if you want a cute little girl that can beat your ass off, then in GATE we have Rory for you, a 13-year-old-look-alike demigod in lolita clothes  i dont know why but she gives me a villain vibe at the very beginning, maybe it is because she was wearing a black lolita dress. despite that, after the first scenes of her appearance, i know that she is a good one but seh helped Itami a lot. 

next it Lelei, basically she is a blue haired mage and she has skills to be a great mage. and somehow, she has become Itami’s wife because they spent 3 nights in a room together. in the end, she is a smart little girl, she can understand a few of japanese language and also their culture just by listening and watching the people at the camp for refugee. 

in conclusion, i think this is a good show tho and i dont know why people dont talk much about it. after i finished the anime, i looked up for some fanpages to see if there is any update on the show, but i can barely find one. and i am not sure if this anime counts as an isekai because the whole story is take place in another whole but Itami is not trapped in that world ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Shokugeki no Soma

Or “Food Wars”

it has been quiet long since my last post. now i have returned with a big anime is “Food Wars”.

i just finished the 4th season last night, but i dont think that this anime will end with 4 seasons because at the end of episode 12, we can see a mysterious man. i’m not sure because i haven’t read the manga and based on that, i will write this post as a anime fan.

“Shokugeki no Soma” is about a teenager boy, named Soma,  who runs a diner with his dad who is a very talented cook. Soma wants to defeat his dad too bad so he has to accept his dad’s request is attend to Totsuki, one of the best cooking schools. 

Soma needs to survive for that school for compete with his father, and he also talked big at the first day of school that he will be the no.1. during the journey, he met and made friends with many students like Megumi, the Aldini brothers, etc.

i can see that Soma is a friendly and optimistic guy, he always help his friends when they have any troubles that need to be solved. Yukihira Soma is also a very creative cook, he has the ability to combine the ingredients perfectly. that skills helped him a lot during food wars or the “hell camp” and so on.

the weirdest thing in this anime is that when people eat good food, they can get turned on or even their clothes can explode. so do not watch this anime when adults are nearby :)

Danna ga Nani wo Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken

Or “I cant understand what my husband is saying”. 

i just finished this anime in just one one evening because each episode is only 3 minute long. it has 2 seasons, each season is 13 episode long and the plot is about a married couple. this is a romance comedy and slice of life type.

the husband is Hajime Tsunashi, a hardcore otaku and a blogger in the first season, then he decided to become a web designer since he saw his wife working so hard. speaking of which, Hajime’s wife, Kaoru is a normal person and she cant understand what her husband is saying (just like what the title said). she is a hard-working office lady who like smoking and seduce everyone near her when she get drunk. 

the artwork of this anime is very simple in my opinion but still cute. that gives me a bright vibe while watching this show. in mostly every episodes, it has white vignette and that made me feel like the character is recalling. 

when watching this show, i can feel that they actually love each other although they are very different. 

in conclusion, “i cant understand what my husband is saying” is a enjoyable and bright anime. i definitely gonna watch this again ^^

Violet Evergarden

hi, so this is one of my favorite anime. it’s a 13-episode anime adaptation by KyoAni studio based a Japanese light novel series. yeah, again another blog about my favorites, but who cares, i just write blogs for fun and not hoping anyone read this :v and this blog is featuring ms bad english :)

first of all, lets see what is this anime about. basically, the content is about a young, beautiful and emotionless girl named Violet Evergarden learning what is the meaning of ‘i love you’ ,the last words of her major, Gilbert, to her. 

when she was a homeless child, the military picked her up and trained her as a weapon for the war. her major that i mentioned before, Gilbert, treated her as an human being and he always wanted to help Violet to has feelings. after Gilbert’s death and with her new job, auto memory doll, Violet started to “has feelings” through a writing course and many of requests that she did. 

while watching this series, i can tell that Violet is a hardworking person, maybe because she was in the military, during her journey. she always trying to do her best on each request. she became an understanding and sharing girl with a pretty face. i like the way she trying to help people, trying to understand her major more. i like the way she cries when she felt impotent, the way she smiles when she finished one of her tasks.

another thing that i like about this anime is the artwork. i don’t have to say anything about this subject. it’s perfect! especially major Gilbert, he is so my type :)

Brooklyn 99

This is one of my favorite tv shows, it’s a cop sitcom. 

The first time i saw this show was around grade 7 (1 or 2 years ago), was in a English with Mr.David. He showed the whole class the first episode of B99. I dont know did they(my classmates) like it or not, but i liked it a lot. After school, while i was heading home, i searched where to watch the show, and i thought IMDb is a movie website😂 because it was on top of the results. I found out it’s on Netflix after that and i have to wait like a year and a half to have a Netflix account :v. When finally have my account, i watched B99 like nonstop. I really like this show.

Surprisingly, the character that i like the most is Scully. I started to like him after the Captain Latvia episode when Scully says the true meaning of Christmas caroling. His words somehow touched my heart but others didn’t listen and just focused on his jeans and made fun of it. I don’t like how they treat Scully in that scene, personally.

It’s still a good show, though ❤ And season 7 is coming!!!

How my face look like

It’s already midnight and I cant sleep. I keep thinking about one thing, my face. I’m not gonna complain about how it looks, I get used to it, it’s not pretty. It’s not because my nose is too small or my jawline is not v-lined. There’s another reason, I think. My face can’t, i don’t know how say describe it, show my emtions, I guess? Every time I watch a video that has my face in it, I release that I look so awkward, like I can’t “perform” how I feel in a way that I want it to be. When I talk to someone, I think that my face was "showing" the feelings, but it wasn’t. It was just like I don’t have feelings? It looked emotionless.

I’m not good at English but I feel “free” to think, talk and write in English so. And I’m not hopping anyone will read this, so yeah.（＾ν＾）
