Oh, sweet Jesus. I used to babysit for two of my nieces and they would reenact it. To say watching two seven year olds chant He had it coming while approaching you with mascara wands and lipliner was disturbing....... I don’t think I was ever the same.

Cell Block Tango came on my spotify earlier and I honestly can’t get over how much I miss that dance. Can we please bring that back honestly?

“Wel, I’m definitely getting us a limo and taking you to the nicest restaraunt too.” He grinned widely, rubbing their noses together affectionately.

“Thanks for being so… amazing and understanding. I’ll let you know when and if something borrows me. Promise.” Jeon gave a nod. “Yes, date!”

Minho laughed. “Okay, Mr Big Spender,” he teased him, closing his eyes in contentment before quickly packing everything up. His boss had made him promise to put things back to normal. “Relationships are all about communication,” he pointed out, unhooking the fairy lights from the ceiling, “this is what happens when you date older, mature men,” he joked. Minho finally finished packing everything up and grabbed the box and his guitar, before smiling at Jeon and nodding towards the door. “Awesome. I’m glad you’re dressed comfortably, because we’re going to be sitting down for a while,” he sang, leading him to where his car was parked.

“I will make it super super special for you.” He promised, kissing his cheeks. At his joke he shook his head, chuckling a little. “You’re so lame. But you’re so wonderful. I’m so happy I met you Minho. I’m sorry about earlier.”

“Mhm. I’m getting us corsages and stuff,” he insisted, letting his forehead rest against th other’s. He smiled cheesily. “I have that effect on men,” he joked, before sobering and giving him a sincere smile. “I know. I’m happy I met you too, Jeon. And it’s okay - I get it, alright? I don’t know what the idol life is like, but I get that some parts of it mak it hard for you to trust. Just as long as you tell me when something bothers you, I don’t think we’ll have any problems. Okay?” He pecked him on the lips and pulled back, carefully setting down his guitar and squatting to blow out the candles. “So... date?”

Jeon swayed happily as his- well, non boyfriend sang. When he was finished he clapped happily, a wide smile on his face which only got bigger at his question. He nodded quickly, wrapping his arms around him and giving him a quick kiss. “Of course I’ll go to prom with you! This was so sweet! But can we please blow out these candles, jagi? There are flammables here.”

“Yeah?” He couldn’t stop smiling, his cheeks puffed up happily as he kissed him back. “It’s my last one, so we have to make it special,” he grinned, pecking him again and again. Minho slung his guitar around his back so that he could pull the other in properly, arms around his waist. “Flammables, huh? Ah, is it because your feelings for me are volatile?”

Jeon was a little confused as he got out of his car- the store was almost completely dark on the inside. Usually it was more lit when Minho was closing. He shook it off as he opened the door, raising an eyebrow when he saw Minho and all the candles. He opened his mouth to say something, but was instantly shushed. Jeon gave a small smile, moving in closer as the other sang. He wasn’t sure what the ocassion was, but he wasn’t going to complain.

Minho grinned and simply continued to play, looking up and holding eye contact most of the time. He smirked and winked, accentuating the line ‘Well, open up your plans and damn, you’re free!’, before he finally finished the song with one last chord ringing out. “I’m yours....” This was the moment, the reason he had made this whole set up. He looked up and met Jeon’s eyes almost shyly, and grinned. “So... prom?” He whispered, eyes shining.

Minho hummed lightly to himself as he squatted in the middle of the circle of tealight candles he had set up, lighting each one and smiling as the flickering added to the dimmed lighting he had created. His boss had told him he could use the store after-hours - after all, it was just a quaint makeup store, not a large chain or conglomerate - and had set up fairy lights and tealight candles in a circle to imitate a stage. This was where he had first met Jeon, and whilst the pair had only gone on a few dates and nothing was official yet, he was the sort to go all out with these kinds of things. When he was satisfied with the general vibe, he stood up and grabbed his guitar, absently tuning it before he heard the bell tinkling, an indicator that the other had entered. He looked up with a wide grin at Jeon, before making a shush motion with his finger against his lips, then winking, and starting to play. “Well, you done done me and you bet I felt it...”

Well, yeah, I mean... no offence or anything, but I think I only ever heard one or two of your songs. I didn’t recognise you when I first met you, I just thought you were cute. And I still think you are. Sounds good. We can wear matching sweatpants.

I’m sorry too… I didn’t meant to be dramatic. Yeah, we can do that. I wouldn’t say I’m uncomfortable just… cautious. I really like you, you know. I don’t want you to turn out to be like everyone else.

It’s okay. I sometimes forget that you used to be an idol, so... As long as you tell me why you’re being dramatic, I can always handle the dramatics. Then I’ll see you later, yeah? Make sure you wear something comfortable.

Oh, Jeon.... Hey, I’m sorry that I brought up bad memories, okay? Let me make it up to you. Tonight, will you meet me after I close up shop? And I’ll take you on a date and prove to you that I’m not that kind of person. Is that okay? We don’t have to do that if you don’t feel comfortable, but I would really like to show you what kind of person I am if you’ll let me.
