Townie CC Makeover: Luna Villareal

This may be an Australian thing, but there is zero novelty value in school uniforms for me, so the teen townies that have these vaguely uniform resembling everyday outfits have to go in my game. I wore one every day for 13 years, they’re not cute. So seeing townie teens hang out at the park in uniforms on a Saturday? Nah. Luna, to me, also has the main issue I have with teen sims- it’s not the height thing, I know a lot of people dislike them being the same height as the adult sims, for me the issue is giving them much older looks. Luna’s hair, her earrings, her make up, it’s giving retiree, not teen. She also has what I’ve dubbed the townie athletic ponytail. The hold that one base game ponytail has on whoever designs the townie sims- there are other Maxis ponytails!

Townie CC Makeover: Olivia Kim-Lewis

Olivia is a cutie but someone please explain to me why this child wears cropped jeans with knee high socks underneath as her athletic outfit? Why does Maxis class cropped jeans as athleticwear? This irrationally bothers me. I also don’t like her hairstyle, I like the idea of it, but it’s so... I don’t know. It’s not there. Oh and the footwear in the party outfit WHAT? And the footwear and socks in the formal outfit. What is going on here?

Townie CC Makeover: Nina Caliente

I’ve decided to start a series of townie makeover lookbooks. No plastic surgery, just updated wardrobes, hair and makeup. I had a few contenders for who goes first- the townies I always go fulleditmode on every new save because I just dislike the way they are dressed so much.

I settled on Nina to go first. Sims 4 Nina, to me, is dressed like all the bad clothes of my teen/young adult years. The everyday outfit with the bow tshirt- I hate that tshirt. The pink denim. Just big my high school years in the early 00′s vibes. And not the “back in fashion now y2k” stuff of my teenage years- all the bad parts that today’s fashion revival is thankfully leaving out. Then that party outfit with the bandage skirt, we all had one of those things once I hit clubbing age, mine was this hideous white bandage bodycon dress. I thought it looked great at the time but looking back on photos, no.

Nina also has my one big townie pet peeve- inconsistent hair. Tell me how hair that thick slicks back into a thin ponytail? TELL ME! And the main hair. As a curly hair person it just gives the “I brushed my curly hair when it was dry and now it’s floofy” look.

So without any further ramble, my updated Nina:
