Went to visit Crabtree Falls in Virginia this week.. beautiful hidden natural treasure.. Can’t wait to visit again when I’m not suffering from an upper respiratory infection and I can hike to the top.

No one actually thinks all men. Just too many men. Just enough men to be afraid. Just enough men that all women have experienced it. Just enough to make it a social problem not a personal one.

It’s time to take action, Tumblr. It’s time for Action on Tumblr.
If you woke up in an America you don’t recognize, if you feel heartsick and scared, if you’ve found some smoldering hope inside of you, if you’re ready to get to work, if you’re fired up to fix this damn place, take Action.
In the buildup to the election, Tumblr hosted important conversations about issues that matter. Today, we’re moving from education to action. With Action on Tumblr, we’ll be handing the megaphone to the marginalized and letting them speak for themselves. In fact, right at this very moment you can ask an undocumented immigrant about her experiences, advice, concerns, hopes—anything—and so far her answers are a hell of a read.
We’ll be providing venues for you all to connect with each other and become your own collective agents of change. We’ll be listening to you and supporting you. Whatever we can do to help you determine the future of the world you live in, we’ll be doing it.
We all need to work together, and we need to work fast. When you’re ready to get to work, or if you’re already making action happen, be sure to post about it and tag it #takeaction.
And if you’ve got ideas—big or small—for what you’d like to see out of Action on Tumblr, our ask box is always open.

WOW.. makes me so sad this person feels that way. I’m ashamed  of my country.
Tumblr media
“I covered a lot of Trump rallies as a journalist. I didn’t feel any hatred. People were more curious than anything. I was never assaulted. I felt like most people were just supporting him because he wasn’t part of the establishment. Or because they were tired of politics. But it was confusing. Because even though I didn’t feel like they hated me, these people were supporting someone who said I should be banned from the country. Even the father of one of my best friends supports Trump. This man had me over to his house. I went to Thanksgiving with him. My friend asked him: ‘Dad, how can you support that man? Our friend Zahra is a Muslim.’ He told her: ‘Don’t worry. He won’t do everything that he says.’ Today has been difficult. These last few weeks, it was mostly speculation. There was suspicion that most Americans supported him but I could hope that it was wrong. But now that hope is gone. And I have to feel differently. I have to feel like maybe most Americans don’t want me here. And I feel like no matter how hard I try, I’ll never be part of the community. And even if they’re friendly to me, or if they invite me to Thanksgiving, deep down they believe that America is a country that belongs to white people.”

Letting Go Is Hard...
Letting go of a love that you thought would last forever is so hard to do. That part of you that’s had enough constantly argues with that part of you that doesn’t want to give up on him.
When every little thing in the house screams his name, when the pictures of your family on the wall make you want to scream because it is no more.
When you try and try to let go and it doesn’t work and then he keeps coming back even when you let go.. what do you do? Does that mean you aren’t supposed to give up on the relationship or does that just mean he likes using and abusing you?
So, what can you do to get over someone you love..
Besides.. get a restraining order or blow your own brains out?

Why DO YOU complain about your blessings?
Some writing of mine that I just came across.. Really hits home for me still. I sill feel this very strongly!
Why do people complain about the blessings in their life so much?
Do you not realize your blessings? I refer to your kids, jobs, homes, cars, significant others, etc.
Next time you complain about your job, sit for just a moment and consider what type of shape you would be in financially if you lost your job tomorrow and couldn’t replace the income. Do you really wanna go there?
I just sit here and wonder.. Why aren’t people more thankful for the blessings in their life? Some people would love to have that job you complain about.. or that husband you nagged all morning before he left for work..
Next time you call your kids hellions or demons or whatever other term of endearment you have for them. Or when they annoy you, you complain about their behavior, gripe about the costs associated with raising them, consider the fact that some people consider children and babies to be a blessing in their life. Some women cry at night because they can’t have kids, while you complain about yours. Some women wish they could have a child or even another child and can’t while you complain about yours!
Next time you complain about your significant other, consider this. Some people go their entire life without ever finding a happy and fulfilling relationship that lasts. Either they never find “the one” or its too late once they figure it out. Some people pray to have a person in their life that they can trust and love. If you aren’t abused, demeaned or mistreated in your relationship – but the person is “their own person” who has their own wants and needs.. and has their own quirks, embrace those quirks and be thankful you have someone that loves you.
Give them the love they deserve. Be thankful they are in your life.
It truly is time to stop complaining and be thankful for what you have.
Recognize your life is full of blessings that you take for granted, blessings other people pray for. Stop complaining and start appreciating what you have.. or you just might lose it.
