I still cannot fathom how they didn’t realize that having everyone (by which I mean the characters) think Artemis had died in season two wouldn’t end badly. Like, season one had a whole-ass episode in which everyone thinking Artemis was dead literally trapped them in either a scenario designed to make sure they’d always fail, or a coma. And yet, at no point did anyone take a step back and think, “Hey, maybe we should warn some of the others, or at least M’gann, that this gonna happen so that old trauma doesn’t resurface can cause problems.” I mean, how were they surprised that M’gann started putting people into coma’s after watching Artemis die? They know that’s what she did last time. Bat’s are supposed to be able to plan for anything, but can’t predict what’s going to happen in a scenario that’s already happened.
