Azriel Week might be over, but we wanted to keep the party going with this beautiful art! Though we have no doubt that Elain and Azriel love their family and friends, we also adore the idea that they're often happiest when they're simply alone together, finding peace and quiet in each other. Plus we love the thought that it's only with Elain that the famously stoic spymaster can truly relax, let down his guard, and just be himself. We hope we see at least a few secret meetings in the garden in their book!

Outside of her character ties to flowers, planting, and gardening, many people theorize about Elain’s potential magical abilities, particularly if she will counter Nesta’s power of Death with her own power of Life. Many also interpret Rhysand’s comment of, “getting her hands dirty,” as foreshadowing for her future depth. Do you believe that Elain’s ties to the Earth itself and gardening might hint at something more to come, whether it be character development, or a journey of learning the extent of her magical gifts? Do you believe that her hobbies might have some symbolic prevalence? For Day Six, show us how Elain’s ties to the Earth and her love for gardening resonates with you. we often see azriel portrayed as the brooding, tortured one in the dark while elain is the bright light in the sun, but one of my favorite parts of elain and azriel is their capacity for both light and darkness between them both.

inspired by a song that reminds me so much of elriel, here we have azriel soaring in the wind at dawn and elain floating in the watery depths of the cauldron, juxtaposed to their usual grumpy x sunshine stereotypes.

i find it so interesting how, either way you spin them, elriel is able to be both opposites attract and like calls to like, so i wanted to try something different with them that shows both of these aspects, and i cannot believe how BEAUTIFULLY @luxury_banshee delivered! she was genuinely such a joy to work with and brought this piece to life in a way i couldn’t have imagined on my own. i’m so so grateful to the work she put into this and i couldn’t be happier with the outcome 💜

i haven’t been able to stop staring at this piece since she sent it over, so i hope you all enjoy it as much as i do!

One of my absolute favorite artists to work with will always be the ever amazing @luxury_banshee, who not only gave this piece her all, but I am more than proud and grateful to call my beloved friend. When the prompts were announced, we couldn’t wait to begin and to work on something beautiful and special together, so here it is! We have Elain and Azriel sharing an intimate moment in an enchanted garden, with their true mating bond finally snapping into place. I couldn’t be more pleased and in love with how this piece turned out. The biggest thanks to the most amazing and wonderful @luxury_banshee for being an absolute pleasure to work with each and every time. I’m so excited to share my first ever commission for Elriel month! In this piece, we wanted to show Elain and Azriel captured in a moment leading up to their first kiss (while hidden away from prying eyes). Death’s Fanged Beast @elriel-month

I love that we continue to get hints throughout the books that there’s more to Elain than meets the eye. From Feyre noting that she showed some teeth, to Rhys observing that Elain’s people pleasing doesn’t allow her true self to emerge, to being the one to step out of a shadow to stab Hybern through the throat. Elain has teeth, and claws, and I cannot wait to see her use them in the next ACOTAR book.

A massive thank you to @/honeyypears on IG for bringing my vision to life for this piece. I wanted Elain to step into her powers, to embrace the dark elements of herself, and to have Az supporting her, as if to say “that’s my girl.”

We’ve only gotten glimpses of the fanged beast that resides in Elain, and I cannot wait to explore her character in her book!
