It seems like the progression has been stagnant and if there's chapters of them, it's usually Leo suffering. I do wish more development or like Suya taking Leo out to the human world like she said in 310.

This chapter will always be my favorite leosuya chapter because this chapter made me ship leosuya in the first place... I love how suya is so determine to get back Leo and wanted a letter for her from Leo... I like how suya knows the real Leo and the fake Leo... Gosh I can say more about this chapter but yeah I love this chapter 🥹🥹

So... about that sister thing, Dawner didn't think so at first but Twilight pulled that move rip.

Not really important but here we go. It is so funny both English and Japanese reader, some of them think maybe Dawner still not realized Dee=Twilight, more thought Twilight is Dee's fiance or sister lmao. I can't blame them because both from reader and character maoujo always see Hero an idiot haha. BUT...

Before Twilight know Dawner is Hee and think Dawner stupid as well but...He is always the one more understand Hero even Suya as a childhood's friend of Dawner doesn't understand him.

like little this moment when every demon worry Suya Will back home because Dawner who does not give up only Twilight who not worry at all about princess because Dawner is idiot Hero. He is always the one who worry why Dawner take a long time just for rescue princess (remember in his diary, he really want told Hero (but can't) about princess because he will tried best take care of her so Hero not worry it or when The demon king more worry about Hero party fired then the a damsel in distress lol).

We see chapter 386 and it kinda be true when they meet again finally Dawner realize like Twilight said in chap 319. I believe Dawner not that idiot, even this manga so slow fucking burn but two other ship have development. Example Leo still denial his own feeling but he finally hasnthought want date Suya and more approach her. Agave finally move on from Twilight, Both Agave-Sandra like each other. So I'm sure Dawner for sure realize Twilight is his Dee.

When I re-read again and see a little hint about Akataso or Hero himself. Please no more new character and more chapter about Hero and his party. I kinda understand why Twilight like him so much, don't see from Suya POV only. He is sweet boy but idiot but sweet, when we more know about hero's party is so wholesome. They are really closed.

Edit: By not remembering this scene, I meant Suya losing balance and Leo reaching out to support her. I remember there is that chapter where Suya realizes others care about her and goes bonkers afterwards. I apologize I should've been clear as to what I meant.

This is such a good analysis on Dawner's character. Speaking of dual traits/personality faces, he and Leo are like that. But compared to Leo who has accepted his moon-like traits and naturally became part of his (while hiding his original sun-like traits), those "sun-like" traits don't fit Dawner and it's gradually pushed aside/being peeled away to revert back to his original one aka the moon traits.

Like you say, in the beginning of his and his party's adventure, Dawner acted more like the sun which also got them hurt and in trouble (which is the same as Suya getting others and herself hurt/die in the process for her sleep-related quest) but the intentions are different in both those actions. Suya didn't care back then while Dawner was trying hard to imitate Suya. But as the story progress, notice how there's no incidents highlighting that Dawner and company got hurt or in trouble for his sun-like actions. I think by that point, Dawner has come back to being more like the moon. Though he has little screentime in the story, it's nice to see some progress/insight on his character.

Another thing to add is that Suya has been picking up more moon-like traits as the story progresses, all thanks to the people of the Demon Castle.

I think that Syalis is wrong about Dawner being a “sun”.

I actually think he’s a moon that either learned or was pushed to become a sun.

Those terms a pretty hard to define, but from how it’s written at least Dawner seems more like a moon the longer he is away from the princess.

Im going to try and define what i think those terms mean, because if i don’t my heads going to spin.

There are a few similarity with between them. Like loyalty, almost inhuman determination. These are both because of well the sun and moon will aways follow after each other no matter what. Like a moon for example being Renee, was very determined.

However a sun is suppose to be naturally confident, Dawner states himself that he was nervous so to fix that he started acting like Syalis. It really makes you wonder how he might act if he never met her.

There is also something to be said for the fact that he has a lot of other traits associated with the moon. He is stated to be a really good student, even a fucking valedictorian.

Another trait is he got pretty good intuition. Read 238, you will see what I mean.

And he is, I’m trying to be nice here. Way nicer to people than the princess. She in the beginning was very much using the people around her for fun. There is no question of that.

Even with him be chaotic he is not meaning to be hurtful. He’s just being clumsy, but really the only person he would get in conflict with was her. Because I think he might have been trying to impress her, but just kinda messed that up.

She like harsh sun light is just hurting people by cause they are in her vicinity. That’s just how she is. If she wants something she will get it even if it means someone dies. But we do love her for that.

Dawner at first seems to act like that, but the more we have gotten to see him as himself. Meets a teddy demon he didn’t have to save. Him going to go get Kisho a nice sword. (Also can we have more interactions and those two’s history like please) He has far more empathy than the princess is. The moon after all reflects the light of the sun, he is just acting as a mirror.

I really do hope at some point if we see, maybe he is not as brave or maybe more accurately he not as confident as he seems.

So why him and his party acted confrontational in the begain was him acting so much like her. To compensate, but as he has traveled he has started to act more like himself. Maybe have the duty of saving the princess weighted a lot on him, and I don’t know being thrust into a war made him a bit insecure about himself.

I love Leo's friendship with Hypnos. I relate so much with Hypnos's struggles with connecting with others. I'm glad he has Leo as a friend who actually is there for him and cares about him! And he gained another through Suya and their shared love for sleep!

There's no correlation but... previously I made a fan comic (wip) related to flowers because there was already a hint that the hero likes flowers so it's a headcanon when he's in the forest. He likes playing in the flower fields and making flower crowns for Twilight. I'm at a loss to explain but it feels like such a headcanon and looking at the panel it feels like ekdndoxosiwbwodhsusdps
