sexuality headcanon: hella gay. like so gay i’d bet she’d a little clueless about heterosexuality period and be totally okay with that tbh. gender headcanon: i don’t think she’s particularly attached to the label “girl” for herself as a Gender Marker. i think she lives her life in a world where men are completely invisible, tertiary (not even secondary) to human existence, except possibly as manipulation targets, so rather than gender, the categories that are relevant to her are sub categories of girl-ness, a spectrum of girls, strong girls, fat girls, smart girls, cool girls. in a world where Men don’t matter, does it make sense to define yourself as a Woman? but the girls around her she calls girls and she delights in their girl-ness and her own ability to be a girl and dress as girl – she just doesn’t really view it as internal. I guess we’d call this (and she might find this word one day) nonbinary girl or x-gender (which is one of the current Japanese terms IIRC for nb/agender), but maybe a more illuminating metaphor would be: she has the same gender as a Crystal Gem (with the accompanying unfortunate baggage of having been raised in bullshit human society). a ship I have with said character: Nozomi/Eli are obviously and clearly married. I really like Nozomi/Eli/Maki with NozoEli teaching Maki the ways of lesbianism. a BROTP I have with said character: Nozomi/Nico I tend to see as a BROTP more than an OTP but I’d still be down for them hooking up so. a NOTP I have with said character: well… I guess… nothing, I have no NOTPs for her. We don’t see her interact with, idk, KotoUmi and RinPana as much as she does with the others so I might be a little?? at art or fic with those sets but I have no objection to them and I’m sure Nozomi doesn’t either haha. As long as she gets permission from the wife first! a random headcanon: she continues working at the shrine and ends up becoming one of the growing body of woman priests of Shinto shrines, integrating a lot of local entertainment etc into her shrine’s schedule of events, turning it into a real community-centric place. She becomes mildly famous for her innovative ideas about increasing shrine attendance and support. (cc queenieofaces who doesn’t love live but how does this sound?) ALL THE VARIOUS MUSE PAIRS GET MARRIED THERE (even though Maki wanted a church wedding, she eventually caved when Nico said she could still wear a wedding dress.)general opinion about said character: i love her, we have her to thank for “muse” (I still don’t know how to type the greek letter), i support her in all things (but maybe tone down the sexual harassment?) she was really a very lonely girl, I think, but she took charge and made herself this great ever-growing circle of friends, bringing in a lot of other lonely girls (Eli, Nico, Maki especially) and teaching them how to love and be friends.
