I watched a really cool interview w Wes Ball today, and there were a few tidbits of info that stuck out to me as especially interesting! I'm not sure if all/any of this is new info, but I hadn't personally seen it before. Below the break bc some of it might be spoiler-ish, but I'll avoid some spoilers that might be too much for some people. Link to the interview!
-Dar is only in a few scenes. A bit disappointing, but interesting to know to expect that she isn't going to be there very much! Even so, people like her as a character - so she must be used well in the scenes she does appear in. -Koro is Noa's father, and Dar is Noa's mother. People had pretty much guessed that, but if you read about the Cinemacon footage, this means something specific about Koro (which I had theorized beforehand already, so that's cool! .... except not pffft) -The team really likes Anaya, and some "REALLY LOVE" Anaya. I guess I have good taste :p Sometimes judging a book by the cover is correct /joke -Silva the gorilla is a big baddie that you love to hate, and you want to get his comeuppance. Interesting especially since they have said Proximus is an antagonist that you can understand, so it sounds like Silva might be worse than him? Or at least not understandable in the same way. -Lightning is semi hairless and has a facial scar because he got electrocuted when trying to learn to use electricity. Makes me wonder if he had a different name before the incident? I think one of my friends speculated that Lightning was a nickname/alias too, which is cool! -Noa has three fatherly figures through the film - Koro in the beginning, Raka in the middle, and Proximus Caesar towards the end. Noa has to decide which bits and pieces from each fatherly figure to let guide him. This is super interesting as I never would have pegged Proximus as a fatherly figure to him from what we've seen so far, but maybe Wes didn't mean it quite as literally as my autistic brain is taking it rofl -If he makes another movie, he wants to have a good guy gorilla to make up for how bad Silva is LMAO

Oh gosh YES please! I've been saying I wished Firestorm and Revelations had been made into movies for years, but TV series would have been SO cool!
Kingdom of The Planet of The Apes comes out next month…
Please let there be female ape characters with speaking roles/actually are involved in the plot! We didn’t get that with Cornelia or Lake and Bright Eyes hardly had much screen time despite, arguably, being the one to start everything in Rise.
This will also be the first Planet of The Apes movie since Disney bought the franchise along with other Fox properties so I’m really hoping it doesn’t suck (or at least much, much better than Wish or other movies they’ve made lately).

I saw an interview with Soona's actress (I'm bad at names, sorry!) and she addressed this briefly! She said that Soona is "one of the boys" and this movie gives female apes roles beyond "wives and mothers", so here's hoping!
Side note: Cornelia is BADASS in Revelations, and so cool in Firestorm too! I wish the movies had given her time to shine!

Lets talk about how in the entirety of of the original Star Wars trilogy you almost never see a stormtrooper hit a target but when Koba, a person who has never fired a gun before and is BLIND IN ONE EYE, decides to shoot Caesar he gets him in one!!! Tell me the villains in sci fi aren’t improving!!

Hairless Chimp Style #muscles #muscleup by SloggerVlogger Hairless Chimp Jambo, the alpha male was born at Twycross Zoo in England. He has had alopecia, a form of hair loss since his youth. He was born on June 9, 1982. In November 2018, Jambo lost his ear, possibly due to an accidental fight with his mother. Attempts to reattach it with skin glue failed as he continued to pick on it. In October 2022, he also lost a toe, with the cause unknown but possibly related to fights and agitation during mating season. In 2018, the chimpanzees received a new habitat called "Chimpanzee Eden." It spans 1,160 square meters and includes two seven-meter-high indoor spaces connected to a large outdoor area with climbing frames and huts. via YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6HjgaJl2kBo
