Hi there! Thanks for the note about Curvy Kate. I think I have heard others talk about fit with Curvy Kate, that they fit some better than others. The "Smoothie" type of bra generally works for me with other brands, so it might be okay. Which balconette do you have? (And how sheer is it? I can't tell from their pictures if it's the illusion of sheer or really sheer.)
I have the Portia in white with pink ribbon size 36GG - it is VERY sheer on the upper half but the lower is lined enough it isn't sheer. I love the fit and support but have to make sure I'm "situated" right to avoid any peepage. I fall inward on many plunge, formed bras and I can't stand the uni-boob look. :) I am actually partial to Panache and most balconets.

Another friend (36F) likes the Freya Deco style which is similar to the Curvy Kate Smoothie, lightly formed plunge style bra. Good luck.
