The Vercase logo features the head of Medusa portrayed as a beautiful woman with supernatural aura. Instead of snakes for hair it depicts a time when her golden hair overflowed.

Along with Nike, Adidas has a logo and a slogan. The Adidas logo does not have a specific look. It started with three simple black stripes manufactured on all of their clothing, then they introduced the trefoil with 3 strips running through it diagonally, and lastly the three bars. The last logo is suppose to be the most important as the bars resemble a mountain challenging their consumers to push their limits with their clothing. Their slogan, "Impossible is Nothing" originated from the legendary boxer Muhammad Ali. http://cdn2.advergize.com/wp-content/uploads/impossible-is-nothing-quote-muhammad-ali.jpg?x66602

In your opinion, why has DeBeers created this campaign? I feel that this campaign was created to encourage women not to feel as though they need to be married in order to be accomplished. A women could be just as successful and happy with or without a man, thus not having a man isn't to stop her from having a nice ring.
Is it creative or corny? I think its creative, marriage isn't as popular in todays society so raising your right hands shows women that its ok.
Pick your favorite? Why is it your favorite?
Tumblr media
This my favorite because represents women empowerment, loving ourselves, and being confident enough to do things our own way. I live for this!
Are the ads representative of the current societel representations or perceptions of women today? This ad is very relevant to todays society, as i mentioned before marriage is not as popular as it once was, one of those reason could due to women empowerment.
Do these ads fulfill Self Actualization level of Maslows Pyramid? Why or why not? yes, I believe it could. If a woman could comfortably afford to buy herself a nice ring, in my mind she’s well accomplished and doesn't mind rewarding herself.

Is Nike representing women today? yes. i think Nike support women with every intention to encourage self-confidence and self-love. Their ads represent women of all shapes, sizes, and ethnicities, which gives a feel of belonging for all types of women.
Is it creative or corny? i think this ad is creative, it lets women know that they don't necessarily have to be what society says is ‘normal’, that they are perfect imperfect the way that they are.
Are the ads representative of the current societel representations or perceptions of women today? Yes, more and more women are learning to embrace their natural selves, whether it be curvy, lean, or athletic.
Do these ads fulfill Self Actualization level of Maslows Pyramid? Why or why not? i can definitely say that these ad fulfill self-actualization, in order to pursue this one has to love themselves and this ad is perfect representation of that.

Hello! My name is Bria Gary and I am a junior here at VCU. I have entered this FASH 350 course eager to learning as much as I possibly can about promotion, marketing skills, and branding. I have no intention on making a career in promotion however, I am self-employed and I feel that this class is a step in the right direction for learning unique branding and marketing skills. I am  currently a freelance nail technician and my brand name is called ‘King B Creations’. I learned this trade my junior year in high school at the Chesterfield Technical Center and I absolutely LOVE it. However, I want my brand to be about more than just nails. I enjoy all aspects of the fashion world and I plan to pursue many business ventures within it. I am currently working toward opening up a store front beauty bar; with that comes promotion, branding and marketing. I’m excited to see what this course has to offer.
I chose this Balmain ad because not only am I a huge fan of the designer but I also often refer to Kim Kardashian for fashion inspo.
