this morning i was going to post “how did sukuna know the binding vow to not hurt anyone wouldn’t include yuuji”, and i’m glad i didn’t, because looking back at 212 it turns out he says “this next part is a gamble” before he rips off yuuji’s finger. he didn’t know at all and rest his entire plan on a gamble that could have resulted in him breaking a binding vow and backfiring on him completely
