There was a moment of silence then a quiet huff of laughter escaped them. “Being stubborn is all part of being a Dúnedan.” But they knew that he was right and quietly gave in.
“That would probably be better for the pair of us.” It took a lot for the gender fluid Ranger to agree to being that close to someone, even to someone they trusted. But given the situation and the fact that they weren’t going to be awake much longer, Hal didn’t attempt to protest.
“Come on then.” He said and held an arm up so they could get closer to him. He soon wrapped both their blankets around them and held the other close. “Try to relax, alright? It will help.”
Sure, the rock from the cave digging into their backs wasn’t very comfortable, but it was better than nothing. And they both could definitely use the rest.
