"And if we’re dead—which I don’t deny it might be—well, you got to—remember that worse things ‘appen at sea and a chap’s got to die sometime. And there ain’t nothing to be afraid of if a chap’s led a decent life. And if you ask me, I think the best thing we could do to pass the time would be sing a ‘ymn."

The high laugh that escaped her lips the moment I saw her. I knew that she would be mine. Of course, I was a cabby driver in England at the time and there was nothing fascinating about me...but, no matter I went after her at once.
Following Helen around the courtyard I would chuckle here and there, making it look as if I was a good friend of anybody around but really I was stalking the young lady, I'm surprised she's married to me now the way I followed her. I suppose you can say she knew I truly liked her.
Go on? of course.
It was just after Helen had gotten into a carriage and the driver went on his way that I realized she may never be mine and gave up on that day. But when I was walking by some cafes along- what was the street called? mercy, sorry, I can't remember any streets in London anymore- I noticed a blonde woman sitting by herself in the window of a coffee shop. Hesitant because of the way I was dressed, I entered the shop taking a seat not too far away from her and waited anxiously for her to notice me.
Of course, she didn't notice me, well she may have but had chosen to ignore me...so I took matters into my own hands and sat down with her. I smiled at her and ordered two cups of coffee, let me tell you those did not come cheap but well worth it.
"Excuse me ma'am, I noticed you were alone and- everybody should have some company," I said, smiling at her and moving. I was sweating under my clothes and to this day I wonder if she had noticed. Helen glanced up at me, her eyes watched me, they were filled with love and joy that I cannot explain to this day, if you wish to see these eyes simply speak to her- though I believe they are more powerful when she talks to me.
Anyhow...we started a conversation and I offered to bring her home in the carriage  she accepted and rode up front with me. I was still nervous at this time and hastily asked her out for dinner once I had the pay. She accepted and our friendship bloomed from there which eventually turned into a deep love that we are still very much in.

The thoughts made happy memories and Helen nodded. "It was one of the only balls I was allowed to attend. I wanted so much to look nice." She looked down feebishly. They were alone now, apart from all the hustle. "I noticed your hair first," she grinned as she spoke, "but then your air of gaiety. And I was very excited when you asked me to dance."
"I've always loved you though, from the moment when you stepped into my cab, to this very second," Frank explained, bringing his fingers to softly hover over Helen's jawline. Clenching his own, he attempted not to smile, listening to her half of the story. Once it was finished, he spoke again, "my love for you was inevitable."
This time he pressed soft lips against hers, slowing their dance to a few steps per minute. He pulled away, much too soon for his own liking; it was mans desire to be left to kiss that of who he loved.

As Frank pulled her into a dance, Helen threw her head back in a fit of laughter. Bringing her head back, her full smile remained, and she bit her lower lip. "Do you remember the first time you danced with me?"
"I believe it was at the ball," Frank began, making note of how her head fell back with enthusiasm. He pulled them away from giant slobs of people. Into an empty space, where they could dance easily and freely. Remembering the conversation from only moments before, he spoke again, "your hair was beautifully done up, but your smile is what drew me to you. I worked up the courage all night to ask you to dance with me."

"Oh, my dear, Aslan has taken care of me, in his good graces." She did not mean to worry him, it was not her intent. She was so happy to see him again, she had missed him so. Her smile grew as their foreheads touched, brushing her thumbs gently on his cheeks. "I did not mean to worry you. Aslan kept me safe, and has decided that now is my time to return."
"In the most subtle fashion, Aslan strikes again," Frank spoke, a smile curling on his lips. Bringing his forehead from his wives, he smiled at her; the same look in his eyes that there had been the day he met her. Leaning forward slightly, he stopped shortly of her lips, not wanting to impress a kiss too quickly. Taking a moment to allow the buzz of the room grow numb in his mind, Frank brought his hand to meet with the females waist, pulling her along with him, into a swayed sort of dance.

Helen ran through the crowd, as best she could, a wide grin on her face. As they were both advancing toward each other, they met quickly in the middle, where she wrapped her arms around her husband's neck. "Oh, Frank! How I've missed you!" (if you gave him up I would be really, really, really upset)
"Helen! Where by Aslans name have you been?" the king sputtered, taking the moment to observe the way his wives hair fell in front of her eyes-- he thought she was beautiful, no matter the time of day or event they were in-- taking a finger and placing it gently onto her jaw line, she gave her a smile, as he rested his forehead onto hers. "Even the moon knows how I've missed you!" he exclaimed; voice still managed to be soft but yet unlost in the crowd of people.
ooc: I won't, don't worry. I take it back 100%

Helen looked through the crowd, when something caught her eye. It couldn't be.... but it was. She could recognize his head of hair anywhere. Carefully making her way through the crowd, trying to catch up with him. When she was in ear shot, she called out, "Frank!" but continued to attempt and walk towards him.
Caught in a crowd of people, the King of Old looked around and around, trying to wrap his mind around just how many people had come to live in Narnia. It was marvelous  no doubt, but all the same he became confused and disoriented. Much like he had as a Cabby. Hearing a familiar voice call out a name, he quickly began turning attempting to spot out the woman in which he associated it with. The moment he had, a smile broke across his face and he began at a bit of a slow gallop towards her, all the while calling over, "Helen!"

A woman... by means of m-magic? Y-you never returned to E-england?
Not once, my dear man. I have not returned to England simply because of the good nature, here in Narnia.

So they alighted and tied their horses to trees and went on into the thick wood on foot. And as soon as they had entered it Queen Susan said, “Fair friends, here is a great marvel, for I seem to see a tree of iron.” “Madam,” said King Edmund, “if you look well upon it you shall see it is a pillar of iron with a lantern set on the top thereof.” “By the Lion’s Mane, a strange device,” said King Peter, “to set a lantern here where the trees cluster so thick about it and high above it that if it were lit it should give light to no man!” “Sir,” said Queen Lucy. “By likelihood when this post and this lamp were set here there were smaller trees in the place, or fewer, or none. For this is a young wood and the iron post is old.” And they stood looking upon it.

((I honestly don't remember when I sent my last message so no worries XD)) Oh. I've always... thought... well, I've heard a... lion? Y-yes, a lion brings... you... here. Am I m-mistaken? -smiles- Digory is a wonderful and reliable boy. He's a smart young man.
A lion? Yes, if I remember correctly, a lion was the one to create the world, but a terrible woman the one to bring us there in the first place- or here, whatever here is.

The King was not a rude man, but when the time came to be, he could be very strict and very scary. It is how he kept his family on the throne for so many years, even if they had not come to him yet. Frank brought his attention to the boy when he growled and covered his mouth, leaning down very quickly and whispering in a very harsh tone, "I do hope you don't speak to your mother with that tone. The next time you do, I will smack you across the bottom with a twig, do you understand?"
Simply by the statement and the serious look in Frank's eyes, it was clear he had meant it. He brought his hand away from Digorys mouth. As he was only making play, he didn't believe he deserved to be spoken to as such. There was a part of him that nobody else knew; not even Helen. And it was the daily debates that he had attended in London. He found them rather interesting, and they always managed to get him ready to have one himself some day. King Frank would always be ready for an argument.
For a brief second, Frank stared at the boy, until he had spoken softly, "I apologize...that was rather daft of me...I must be going, Digory, for...I fear the worse for your manors and my temper. Do have a good day, will you?"
With his words, he turned on his heels and rushed down the corridor, unsure of what to think of himself and unsure of what the boy must have thought.
Frank&Digory||Old acquaintances
Walking by the side of the first king of Narnia, Digory listened carefully everything he was saying and then he frowned. Digory could be a naïve boy, but he was not completely stupid and he got what the king was trying to say. He felt his blood running faster on his veins and he started to feel nervous and angry. He turned his piercing blue eyes to the man, his face a bit red. It was red of anger or embarrassment? “Sir,” Digory said with a louder voice, his blue eyes on him, “Your grace,” He corrected himself, “I presume that I have understood wrong but Polly is already part of my family. She is… she is like a sister to me.” He finished and looked down. Polly and him, together? As a couple? Never!
The boy crossed his arms when Frank started telling him a story, and looked to the side. He knew what the kings was trying to tell him, but he would not accept it. He didn’t want to have this kind of conversation so he didn’t reply so maybe the subject would be cut down. Still looking at the side he waited for the reply of the king, but what he heard was just the air, if it was possible to hear. Curious as the boy was, he turned his head to the man and he finally spoke. Digory licked his lips, his heart racing on his chest. He couldn’t hold his gaze on the king, so he lowered it, “Good.” He said, and felt his throat dry, “Thank you for telling me how you’ve met miss Helen,” The boy tried to lead the conversation to another path.
And now the man was smiling and Digory was not liking it. He knew King Frank didn’t tell him the story just to entertain but to send him a message too. The boy had always been taught to be polite, but sometimes his patience bursts with some subjects, especially when they are about girls and their weird acts.
“Once I met a girl when I moved to my crazy uncle’s house and my mother was sick to the death. I was crying because I hated my uncle, hated that my mother was sick and hated that I had to move. She found me crying and started to talk to me and we became friends,” He started to tell the king, a bit of a sarcastic tone being used, “And you know what happened?” He turned to the king, one of his dark eyebrows raised, “SHE BECAME A SISTER TO ME,” His voice sounded like a growl.

Nellie wandered through the castle, her jade colored dress sweeping across the floor as she did so. She soon reached her husband's study, where one of the servants had told her he was that morning. Knocking quietly on the door, she waited for an answer.
King Frank had been in a slight rush as he worked on the paper's he had promised himself to finish. Since his wife had gone missing some time before, he hadn't allowed himself time to think. As the soft knock came to his ears, his eyes darted up to meet the dark wood of the door.
"It's open," he called, standing up from the desk and moving in front of it, almost in a professional manor. The goofy hair on top of his head still stuck out though, despite his many attempts to tame it. He waited until whoever was on the other side, to enter.
