There was so much murder what if she wasn't happy to be someone who was getting murdered on screen. King didn't mind. He thought it was kind of funny.

King didn't have a chance to even try to think about how to shake her hand. Unless he wanted all the books on the ground he doubted it would go very well.

But she had moved her hand and he barely had to give that a second thought.

"Sure if you don't mind. You don't have to waste time here if you're looking for something specific or anything like that?"

King nodded slowly he was safe as ling as the tipic stayed on this. Who would have even thought about the plays and demons. It would be fine.

"I did! I'm going to be Fred Casley. I kind of though they wouldn't give me a second glance but I guess I did well enough." King still wasn't sure what caught their eye but he was happy it did.

King nodded, the movement jostling the books as he did so but he managed to keep them all upright and therefore it was all perfectly fine.

"I'm in the Uni cast. Playing Fred Casley. It was fun to audition but I didn't actually thing I would get a named role." Hey look he know what named role even was.

King spun slightly at the voice, another book almost falling this time catching it barely with his hand and stumbling forward before even more fell and he would be in a really tricky position.

"Oh thanks. I can take that back in a sec. My eyes are definitely bigger than my brain in this case but I haven't yet decided what I want."

King grinned thankful for the help, it would be quite rude if he just left the book on the ground like that for someone else to deal with. Someone might just get mad at him-

Or what if this was the best book of the bunch that he needed to make sure the play went well.

"Oh." Hades- Hades still scared King, he should have known better but he hadn't been expecting the mayor to be here.

Yikes.

He couldn't even fly under the radar anymore. Maybe if he raised the books high enough he could hide-

"I guess so? I wasn't planning on getting so many but they all look so interesting." Some auto biographies of actors and playwrites. A script all with director notes. It was a gold mine.

King tilted his head at the other and then looked at his stack- well yes it did appear like he was really into theatre. But that's why he would be good, it was why he prepared so much for the audition and why he would prepare even more for the role.

"Kind of. I helped out backstage last year and I wanted to really give it a shot this year so I want to do really well."

"That green one? I don't know if i'm going to get it yet but I want to sit down with all of them and decide." It might be a little irresponsible of him to get all of these.

But it would be nice.

Plus he just got a promotion. So, it would be fineeee.

"Oh a fortress would be cool." But King didn't think that people would be very happy with him for that. Some people really thought books were sacred.

and they were. But a means to an end.

"It's for the play. I got a role and I really want to do well so I thought I could look up some things."

Dodger was halfway through a sandwich, one he'd been daydreaming about eating all day. And now that he had it, it wasn't half as good as he'd been dreaming of it being.

Growing bored, his eyes wandered around, eventually landing on the stack of books the stranger was working through. He lopped his head to one side and let out a small whistle, trying to attract his attention.

"You plannin' on becoming the smartest person in the world, or just usin' them things to build a fortress?" He smirked, nodding towards all the books. "Looks like you're gearing up for something big. What's with that?"

King had a lot of research to do, Auditioning this time instead of working on the crew was a whim. One that he tried very hard for and was very thrilled.

But he wanted to be good, he wanted to be great.

So he needed resources.

Chapter Three here he came.

Book after book, anything play related, commentary he had picked it up despite knowing he couldn't have it all.

"Just Fire and Smoke, I can turn into smoke which is a lot of fun. Very hard to do though." Honestly at this point it wasn't that hard, not that he had the memories of learning it way back when.

He just had to put it back into practice.

"I can't turn into fire though, That would be a little too much for me I think."

"I can control fire and smoke. I guess one of them fuels the other? But I don't really know. I'm just kind of going day by day with it." King had recovered a lot of him memories at this point but a some point he had believed he was just a gifted and that's how he still pretended to be.

"I always had more fun with the smoke side of it though."

"The Hauntley inn." King never considered that some people might be scared of it, or avoid it. Not to say this boy was but King just loved the place so how could anyone not.

"I'm King! I dunno I like a lot of animal things. I never like paint or anything but I like making them." holding out his hands King blew smoke into his clasped hands before his fingers twitched and twirled until there was a little bunny of smoke in his hands.

"That's all I really do."
