I will have to say, while I liked you THG AU I did feel like it maybe wasn't the best idea to follow the plot that closely. Simply because Sansa just doesn't have the skills that Peeta does and she ended up not "pulling her weight". I didn't like TBOSAS but Sansa could have been great as a Lucy Grey like figure (entertainer made to fight) with Petyr manipulating the game to help her like Snow did

Tbh I don’t really like Lucy so I would be the wrong person to go to for that 😭😭😭 I think she’s extremely 2D and gives manic pixie dream girl and if it wasn’t for the book following Snow’s descent into corruption and rise to power I probably wouldn’t have finished it. But I agree for the most part and what I like most ab the potential new thg au is that she would be more or less forced to stand on her own with Jon watching in the shadows and hating every second, leading him to discover other methods of strength outside sheer will and brute force

TIWYT sequel?

I honestly don’t know. I find myself irritated with the oversaturation of the series lately and the way people talk about it as if sunrise on the reaping and tbosas aren’t blatant cash grabs. Which is fine, make your money Miss Suzanne, but it’s also caused people to give the original series a lot in terms of politics like it still isn’t a YA dystopia written by a white woman.

When I did try to write a sequel, (which obviously would mean broadly following the plot of catching fire) I found myself more intrigued at the prospect of going back to the beginning and carving out more original roles. I ended up briefly outlining something with Sansa still as a tribute but Jon as her mentor with him navigating the politics of the Capitol while trying to stage a rebellion. But, like I said, I’m not too hard pressed to dip back into that world right now.

i know jonnel is catching a lot of flack rn but i love that we’re seeing a more emotional side of him. even if he’s damn near giving himself a hernia from trying to keep it in.
