A little theory I've had about Winter King's original motives based on his heartless comment about Betty and Ice King's original motives for kidnapping princesses in the first place...... clearly she gave off Bad Ex Vibes…

Fiona and Cake spoilers below for "The Winter King"

Thinking about the Fionna and Cake episode, The Winter King. I was thinking about their universe, and it looks like Marceline in that world dies as a kid. ( referencing the The Winter Kings song, and the fact that Ice Marcy looks to be the same age as in the song) Finn also either not being in the picture, or also dead, or maybe left after Princess Bumblegum was cursed by Winter King.

I was wondering why Bubblegum did not look like she had any kind of development. At first, I thought it would probably have to do with Marceline probably dying young in this universe. After further thought, it feels like it was because she was one, cursed, and two did not interact with Finn the H and have him kickstart any development. (Also, she's been cursed for a hundred years.)

The Winter King in this universe was always.. off. I didn't like how he was so flippant to Simon and not very descriptive of how he "overcame the madness" when he knew that Simon was about to try and be Ice King again. And when he spoke about Betty, as he did, the dead one, I knew he did not have the compassion of our Simon. Loving Betty, loving and taking care of Marceline, and losing Betty after made him into who he is. Just rambling, I'm loving this show so far!
