Our cats can be very naughty and playful; but also super affectionate and often seek for attention - please give them lots of love.

Please do not hurt, yell, or ignore them if they make a mistake or did something undesirable because unlike humans, they have no clue of what they did wrong. They cannot deal with punishment - this will only put trauma on them - have patience please.

And most of all - please please please - do not abandon them - they are part of the family.

In case of relocation, please take our outdoor cats, along with our indoor cats, with you. Keep them on a cage for the meantime until they are use to the new environment.

For the stray cats, put them up for adoption or have them rescued by animal shelter (not the city pound).

In a city pound, owners will be given a certain time to claim their pets. Unclaimed pets will be up for adoption. If no one will adopt, they will be euthanized (cruel reality) - please don't let this happen.

Administer medicines on their upright position or else it will go to their lungs

Make sure to insert the needleless syringe on the side of their mouth (back of their tongue) - do not direct it onto their throat

His tail had dandruff that made his fur fall off and was prescribed with Sebohex (medicated shampoo)

When fur started to grow back on his tail, we stopped washing it with Sebohex and replaced it with VCO, massaging it on his tail everyday

Diet

A picky eater:

he is fond of dry food rather than table food

he hates leftover dry food - it must be fresh from canister

he only likes the sauce/gravy in wet food

he loves bangus, and tilapia - bite size only

When feeding him by hand, let him sniff it first, then put it down infront of him

He doesn't usually come to the dining table; but when he does, he must've liken the table food

He doesn't also come when wet food is being served - you have to pick him up

For dry food, he eats whenever he wants to - he'll cry out when he's hungry

Personality

He actually cries a lot - either he is hungry, pooped on the bathroom floor, wanting to go outside, or asks for tapik-tapik (light spank) on his thighs

He plays hard for his age - he will bite and jump on you (nothing to be scared of)

He cannot tolerate Marjorie and often fights her back

He dislikes Pandelion so much that the latter is scared of him

Name origin

Joaquin is named after one of the Barretto siblings because when him and his siblings were still little, they play roughly like they're quarreling

Back then, the famous Barretto siblings are caught in controversy due to their publicized family feud

On a noontime tv show, the host said to their guest, "let's not fight each other, we're not Barrettos" lol
