the "i definitely do NOT have feelings for them in any way shape or form" while obviously crushing on them trope might be cliché to you. it's about being doomed from the start, the desperate denial of the starved self, the tragic inevitably of love to me tho

One of the funniest things about enemies-to-lovers ships is how they’re almost always obsessed with each other. Like if a character actively chooses to interact with another character over and over again instead of simply ignoring them? Throw darts at it all you want, but you still printed out a picture of them to hang on your wall

I love characters that have never been loved before experiencing it for the first time. They're taken aback by softness. They're confused by warm words and being cared for. They're almost scared by the loving way they're looked at. Fleeting tender touches send them reeling. Their heart almost feel like it's going to burst. What does it mean? All they know is they don't feel as though they deserve that, even if they reciprocate. It's been proven time again that they're unlovable and yet...
Being treated so gently feels so good and they aren't sure they want it to stop.

Remember when you didn't watch Misfits and every time you saw a GIF of Nathan and Simon you assumed they were in a gay relationship

Captain Jack Sparrow being a bisexual icon since 2003
When people talk about your portrayal of Jack Sparrow, they generally mention Keith but also point out a certain gay undercurrent.
JD: Well, there was a great book I read … What was it called? Sodomy and the Pirate Tradition. A very interesting book. I wasn’t exactly going for that with the character. And Keith is not flamboyant in his actions. Keith is pretty stealth. But with Jack, it was more that I liked the idea of being ambiguous, of taking this character and making everything a little bit … questionable. Because women were thought to be bad luck on ships. And these pirates would go out for years at a time. So, you know, there is a possibility that one thing might lead to another. [x]

2:100 “But I like the inconveniences.” “We don’t,” said the Controller. “We prefer to do things comfortably.” “But I don’t want comfort. I want God, I want poetry, I want real danger, I want freedom, I want goodness. I want sin.” “In fact,” said Mustapha Mond, “you’re claiming the right to be unhappy.” “All right then,” said the Savage defiantly, “I’m claiming the right to be unhappy.” “Not to mention the right to grow old and ugly and impotent…the right to have too little to eat; the right to be lousy; the right to live in constant apprehension of what may happen tomorrow…the right to be tortured by unspeakable pains of every kind.” There was a long silence. “I claim them all,” said the Savage at last. Mustapha Mond shrugged his shoulders. “You’re welcome,” he said. (at The Factory)

"Five lashes will remind you-" WRONG. WEEVIL TIME 💥💥💥💥💥
As William Turner awoke one morning from uneasy dreams he found himself transformed on deck into a gigantic insect. To the chagrin of the crew on board, his hard chitin shell proved whipping to be rather ineffective, so after a time they resorted to flipping him on his back and watching him struggle.
