of course with that new hc i am now deciding how much of lex's backstory to throw tf out and reorganize bc i don't want him to be a summoner for such a short period of time but him becoming truly powerful and terrifying after the ultima fight is INCREDIBLY GOOD AND CANON

Lex did not become a summoner via traditional means. Instead, he obtained the power of the primals during the fight with Ultima. Through Hydaelyn's help, he bound the various primals to his will after she helped rip them out of the monstrosity.

He feels immense guilt later in life, however, due to his guilt over the Vault. He was able to overcome Ultima with Hydaelyn's help, and he even became an incredible magic user. This was still not enough to save someone so beloved.

Getting word back to Eorzea of his adventure was something he actively tried to suppress. He didn't need the governments of Eorzea knowing he was meddling in succession rites of another continent. At best, he made sure they thought he was on vacation to Tural.

"I am doing my best." Lex sat down in an open chair and idly began massaging his thigh. "In truth, a bit of both. I enjoy spending time with you, but I have been noticing some issues with my legs again."

He sighed.

"I have a feeling it is from the immense amount of hiking I had to do while I was away. My nouliths could only assist so much." Truthfully, he felt horrid that they frequently had to slow down for him. "I'm hoping to avoid ingesting anything this time. Do you know of some bath additives that could assist this time? I was able to obtain a private hot spring for my home in Ishgard."

"Ah-- look who's walked into my clinic-" Stood, Naosont turns - lab coat draped 'pon his slender figure - eyes noting both company and their condition with immediate affect. It had been some time since he had seen Lex, plenty keeping the two busy, but he could not deny his relief at seeing him once more.

"Keeping yourself healthy on your grand adventures, I do hope-?" He did worry, that he wouldn't deny, and he took note of every printed newspaper to see if there was any mention of the great warrior. "Though I'm curious - are you here on a social visit or medical-?"

That made sense. He hadn't seen anything quite like himself here either (at least, in terms of sentient non-ancient beings). Meteion was perhaps the closest, but even he could tell she was unique.

He knelt down in front of the flowers, his clawed hands slowly going to touch the leaves. There was so much aether in this place that the details often got lost in his aethersight. Only through touch could he get a better picture. "I am quite sturdy, but I thank you for the warning."

Lex smiled as he nudged the petals with his knuckle. "Would you mind describing the color, sir? I'm afraid I'm not blessed with great eyesight."

From what he gathered so far, Azem was a fickle figure. He flit here and there, many people having heard of his exploits but few knowing the man himself. It was a familiar sort of figure he cut - one Lex knew well.

Azem was just like the Warrior of Light. A man of incredible renown but one that few could call friend. A brief twist of ironic sadness curled into his heart before he forced a smile.

"I understand. Should you wish it, I will do my utmost to relay that message to him." Lex's tail swished behind him as he continued following through the green rolling hills of Elpis. "Are familiars difficult to make?"

What zenos feels for the wol is love but since he's not been shown love he doesn't know what it feels like and that's why he is the way he is and therefore even if he's done some awful despicable things he never had a chance to be good to begin with and therefore i think that he should have a chance at rede-[someone steals away my keyboard and unfortunately I'm not able to finish my post]

"Yes, nine." Lex covered his mouth as he laughed, giggling as he remembered the absolutely miserable experience in Thavnair with the "White Haired Boy Band Road Trip" (as Tataru called them once). "It took all of my strength to try and stop him, and even that ended in failure."

He gave a fond sigh. "The man absolutely fleeced him, if you would believe it. For all his battle prowess and all his tactical brilliance, the great Wyrmblood, the powerful Azure Dragoon, was lain low by a mere hair tie merchant."

With a smile up at Aymeric's direction, Lex rest his hand upon Aymeric's. "Thank you. Truly. I find that only those who know me say such things." He cautiously squeezed the offered hand. "I am all too aware that to those who do not know me, I look truly monstrous. There are plenty days where I wonder if I ought to swap my visor for a full face mask."

A loaded question, though Aymeric truly had no idea. Unfortunately, Estinien started wearing his hair up long after Lex lost his sight - a fact he admitted with a faintly heavy heart. "Though I have been told he's quite handsome with his 9,000 gil hair tie."

Lex played with the braids in front of his face as he talked. "I wish I could see how my hair looks now as well. I have to keep the back short as the only part I can confidently maintain are these braids. I somewhat miss my longer hair on occasion."

but lex not going path of the summoner via the job quests - rather he becomes a summoner mid fight with Ultima! He rips the power of the eikons out of ultima with hydaelyn's help!!!! imagine tiny 15 year old lex with nothing but his carbuncle, then getting stronger exponentially mid fight via stealing the power YOU'RE CURRENTLY TRYING TO USE AGAINST HIM

"Is that not what you are here for?" Lex laughs as he pops a cookie in his mouth. It wasn't just himself - Raha also had a habit of forgetting to eat when engrossed in tasks. Thus, the ever helpful Erenville kept his two errant scholars in line. "Thank you, truly. Did you make these yourself?"

I really like dressing Aymeric in his civilian clothes. He actually wears those boots in the dinner scene!

Who does Lex trust most?

His papa!

Baderon has been there for him from the start. When he first escaped Gridania, Baderon is the one who gave him a chance. No matter what adventures he's been on, no matter how monstrous he becomes, no matter how much he pushes people away for "their own safety" Baderon would always be there for him. Baderon loves him unconditionally. That earns Lex's trust more than anything else.

Lex rests his head against Raha's and closed his eyes. Everything had... somewhat calmed down now. There was always the possibility that something would come after them once more, but for now, he could breathe.

Still. He tries to relax.

"I have been trying to take one for so long," he murmurs, hand squeezing Raha's. "If anyone needs us, I'm making Thancred and Urianger handle it. It's not like they're doing anything now that their contract is over. It's my turn to enjoy fruity drinks and tourism."

"are you enjoying yourself?" though tural is still foreign to the both of them, g'raha, at least, cannot complain. ruins ripe with history, a myriad of people and cultures so very different from eorzea. smiling, he settles against lex, curling an arm around him. "we were due for a vacation, i believe."
