Chapter 52: Home

I haven’t posted in a long time, and I haven’t given any kind of an update. Patchwork is still being worked on.  I finally was able to write again and I just need to close off the chapter and it will be posted.  I write most of my work on google docs so I can work from any device that can access it.  I still have to go through and edit it but I am hoping to finally update this by the end of the week.  I plan to close off Patchwork with a proper ending with the next/last chapter (so chapter 53). I hope all is well and I’m sorry it’s nearly been two years.

I don’t post here often but I try to give updates when I have them.  Patchwork is still being worked on, just real life took a turn and haven’t had time for much of anything. The recent tumblr news saddens me.  I had a side nsfw blog and I purged the two things I had posted art wise.  For whatever reason if my account disappears despite removing the nsfw stuff I have a twitter that is bearly used but may get used in the future. Chapter 51: Redux

I got a little more writing done today.  Still not ready yet but happy with what I have down so far.  This chapter is going to be the breath of fresh air I’ve been dying to share with everyone. I think I’m a little too excited.

Chapter 51 is coming along slowly. I have it planned out and it shouldn't take long to get from point a to point b with it. The only thing holding it back is distractions and lack of motivation.

Chapter 50: Resolve

I just need to write this down because I’m a bit shaken up. I woke up to hear what sounded like people shouting outside.  I live in an apartment building so it's not uncommon for the teenagers and even some drunk adults to have some minor altercations.  I ignored it but then between the banging somewhere upstairs and then more screaming I decided to be nosy and go to my window in my bedroom and “listen” to figure out what the hell was going on. Gonna place a warning.  This may trigger people, but I just seriously don’t know how to tag it properly.  I don’t mean to upset others but I need to vent my own feelings to get them out there and not let them just stew in my head. The first thing I hear is hard to describe.  It’s like a gut wailing scream, screech, not sure.  I don’t even know if I could even imitate it.  But after that I heard someone yelling, “I don’t wanna die.  I don’t wanna die.  I’m going to jump, I’m going to jump.  Call 911.  He’s going to kill me.” It didn’t make sense but the person kept screaming and wailing and just honestly it started to scare me.  This voice was really close by because I could hear the words clearly.  I couldn’t see anyone but I know they were to my right but I don’t know if they were directly above me or above me and to the right. I live on the third floor of my apartment unit.  I don’t know if the person would die or not if they jumped but I figured they would seriously get hurt.  I hear a lot of banging from above me which to me sounds like someone throwing things in a tub, like a bathroom tub and the person continue to scream again. So I grab my phone, unsure at first if I should call 911.  One part of me is terrified of having to talk to people, or worrying that if this person truly didn’t want help that they could find me for interfering.  It’s irrational but it scared me. I decided to still call 911 because regardless I still didn’t want them to get hurt.  I was scared, physically shaking scared. The 911 operator answered and I’ve never done this before so the first thing I gave is my address but they interrupted me and asked if I wanted police, fire, ambulance or something else that I don’t remember.  I told them police, not sure if an ambulance was needed, but I told them my address and the operator on the phone said she couldn’t understand me.  Maybe a bad connection.  So I dunno if it was just me speaking to fast or if there was bad static but when they finally heard my address they said,  “The police are already there.” and then proceeded to hang up.  It wasn’t at least another minute until the first police car showed up, and then not long after that, a second one came. After that, I heard more banging.  I don’t know if people were trying to break the door upstairs or not, but after that it got quiet.  No ambulance came so I’m assuming that whoever it was wasn’t hurt.  I don’t know what happened to the person.  I never saw the police leave but it been quiet since. Again, I’m sorry if this truly triggers anymore, or if I upset anyone. I just needed to put my words down somewhere.

Chapter 50 Update

So...still working on the chapter.  I thought I would be done but my lack of motivation lately is killing me.  However, this chapter is what I’ve been waiting to write for a long time, so I’m trying to make it perfect. Depending on my motivation I am still hoping to wrap it up soon.  Nearly hit everything I wanted to cover in this chapter.  I do want to say, that if I do happen to finish on April 1st, it would be a legit update.  I don’t really do the whole April Fools thing so you wont see screamers from me.

Without spoiling I'm already well passed 5k words into chapter 50. It has been a lot easier to write and I'm excited because of what I had planned, but I'm worried that the chapter may become too long. Considering how long it takes to me to update currently I don't think you guys would mind. I'm not sure and these things just make me anxious thinking about it.

I don't know what it was but writing has been a lot easier this week. I think I'm slowly coming out of my slump and it feels good.
