I love this so damn much

been meaning to do this for quite a while! Chris redfield is very special to me. I am very disappointed Capcom never gave him a canon birthday besides “1973” so as an astrologer I did some deep dives on his character and came up with this. Please be advised this is my opinion! I’d love to hear your takes below.

Chris Redfield — Birthday + Zodiac Headcanons + Analysis

Chris Redfield’s birthday is April 23rd, 1973.

this birthday would make him a Taurus sun. Taurus is ruled by Venus, the planet of beauty, love, and values—so even though Taurus is grounded and stubborn, there’s a deep loyalty and romanticism underneath the surface. I feel that this describes Chris to a T, but let’s discuss further! :)

Why It Fits Chris:

Stable Protector: Taurus energy is deeply rooted in loyalty, safety, and consistency. Chris is always someone people can rely on. From Raccoon City to Kijuju to the BSAA—he stays standing on business when others fall. Taurus is the “rock” of the zodiac. That’s literally Chris Redfield in a nutshell.

Slow to Trust, But Loyal for Life: Taurus types don’t trust easily. Once you’re in, you’re in. Think of his long-standing partnerships: Jill, Claire, Sheva, Piers, etc. He doesn’t jump from person to person emotionally or professionally. But when he does find someone he cares for - he is loyal to them to a fault.

Sensory Creature: Taurus signs are physical beings. He trains hard, values the body, endures pain—he literally walks through hell physically to protect others. There’s a sensual side to Taurus too - especially sexually but I’ll save that for another post. ;)

Stubborn as Hell: Chris’s bullheaded determination? Classic Taurus. Once he sets his mind on something (justice, revenge, protecting others), he will not stop—even to his own detriment (RE6 Chris is literally the dark side of that). We can also see that in canon files about his brief time in the airforce. Some argue it was insubordination, others argue it was stubbornness. Both are very taurean traits either way.

Earthy and Grounded: He doesn’t need flashy leadership. He just leads by example. Quiet strength. The Taurus way.

Now in astrology we also look at someone’s moon and rising sign. I have yet to figure out Chris’ rising sign but moon sign is for sure in Capricorn and here is why.

🌙 The Moon represents emotions, inner needs, and how we really feel when the armor is off. Capricorn Moons are known for their emotional restraint, sense of duty, and deeply buried tenderness.

Why It Fits Chris:

Stoic Exterior, Soft Core: A Capricorn Moon person doesn’t show emotions easily. But they feel them—hard. Chris is often portrayed as emotionally closed off or reserved, especially in his later years, but moments with Claire - or even Jill and Piers show how much he feels underneath. This would also apply to any romantic partner he may have.

Burden-Bearer: This placement carries so much responsibility. Even as a young man, Chris took the weight of protecting others onto himself. That’s a Capricorn Moon trait—“If I don’t do it, no one will.” And let’s not forget how he had to ‘man up’ and raise Claire while he was practically still a child himself.

Emotion = Action: Instead of crying or talking it out, Capricorn Moons do something. Chris doesn’t talk about grief—he joins the BSAA. He doesn’t talk about guilt—he throws himself into work. He works out hard until he makes himself sick. He protects his family and loved ones through action.

Capricorns are also very much work-a-holics which we can see through him. This guy NEEDS to chill and have a vacation. Please!!

Detached But Devoted: He may struggle with emotional vulnerability in love, but once he’s committed, he shows it in very Capricorn ways—building a home, protecting what’s his, never leaving when things get hard.

Like I mentioned, I have yet to figure out his “rising” sign. I will edit this post when I analyze him further though I’m thinking Taurus or possibly Aries. However! I will include some little details from his made-up chart, like so —

💘 Virgo Venus

Venus rules love, affection, and attraction. Virgo Venus is practical, devoted, and quietly romantic. Your Venus sign is also how you associate with others, romantically or platonically. How you flirt, etc.

Why It Fits Chris:

Acts of Service Love Language™: A Virgo Venus shows love through thoughtful actions. Not gifts or grand declarations, but through support, help, checking in, remembering your coffee order. Chris is absolutely the kind of partner who’d clean your wound before you even ask. He’d put air in your tires. Any little thing he can think of that will benefit those he loves - he will do. He’s not flashy—but he’s there.

Quietly Observant: This placement is incredibly detail-oriented. Chris notices things about his partner, his friends, his environment. Everything. We can see this in him as he’s always on high alert. Just because he’s not talking doesn’t mean he’s not over here overthinking to the MAX.

High Standards in Love + Friendships: He doesn’t fall in love easily. Virgo Venus people are picky—not out of arrogance, but because they value deep connection. Once he chooses someone, it’s because they meet him on all levels—emotional, intellectual, moral. This also applies platonically. Healers and Fixers: Virgo is linked to healing. This Venus wants to fix, support, help. He would absolutely choose someone who’s wounded but strong, someone he can protect and be vulnerable with. He likes to be the caregiver but he wants to feel appreciated for doing so. So don’t forget to let him know he’s going a good job.

TLDR;

• Sun in Taurus = Outer identity: Strong, dependable, grounded, a little stubborn. The team leader, the protector, the moral center.

• Moon in Capricorn = Emotional world: Quiet, reserved, responsible, slow to express feelings, but loyal to the end.

• Venus in Virgo = Love style: Devoted, attentive, practical, acts of service, hard to win over—but worth it.

We may never get a canon birthday for him but this man SCREAMS earth sign. He reeks of it !! Whether he’s a Capricorn, Taurus or Virgo - he carries all the traits of an earth sign. (At least to me.)

Days Gone: Details about the other games that would have happened if Sony didn't reject their pitch🥲

It would've been a trilogy.

DG2 would have focused on the freakers evolving and getting smarter. John Garvin had a scene pictured where Deacon would stumble upon armed freakers during a mission.

DG3 would have had Nero as the "big bad".

The trilogy would've still focused on Deacon and Sarah.

Sarah would be pregnant & the stakes would be much higher for Deacon. There would be a lot of concern about the pregnancy since Sarah did a lot of research so there would be that question of whether the baby was somehow infected or not.

Lisa would have had more importance in DG2.

Rikki and Addy's relationship would be more developed.

Deacon and Boozer would've moved the Lost Lake camp to Iron Butte.

They would've been attacked by armed freakers & Nero so they would be forced to move.

DG2 was supposed to take place in Western Oregon.

DG2 would've shown us more O'Brian and how he got infected.
