Two wips again! I like working on the toddler cardigan. It's my first time working on a raglan piece and I can really see it shaping now. I also made some real progress on the sweater for myself, but I still have a long way to go before I can wear this.

Two wips today! The first one is a baby cardigan that I started a few days ago. I just did the first two rows of increases for the raglan. It's my first time working on a raglan garment, I hope I don't mess up the increases anywhere lol

My second wip is a sweater I started working on in February but I got burned out and didn't feel like working on it until two days ago. It's knit bottom up with ribbing after roughly every ten rows of stockinette. It's super bulky yarn and it feels so soft. I hope I can finish this in time for winter.

Cast on a baby cardigan yesterday using the good old trusty cable cast on and life is good lol

I was just starting to like this when I found out I dropped a stitch all the way into the cast on and I couldn't fix it so I frogged it. I'll try this again after regaining some courage.
fighting for my life with this pattern lmao I think a bit too many things are not in my favour. I'm using superwash yarn so it'll grow after washing and I'm pretty sure I'll get the gauge correct after washing, but that also means that I'm working on a tiny beanie at the moment that doesn't even fit on 40 cm circulars. I was struggling really hard with the Italian cast on, which cost me two hours to get right (I hope???? I'm not even sure if it's right, I just found two stitches with a really wonky cast on so idk). The pattern is in half fisherman's rib, which I've never done before and sounded like a fun challenge, but on top of the other stuff I'm not really enjoying it at the moment :(
I'll knit a few more rows (I only have two actual rows after the cast on and foundation rows) to see if I'll continue working on this or frog it.

when i look up a knitting term, the last thing I want is an ai overview. I want a 60+ year old woman with no understanding of lighting or helpful camera angles who still manages to give the most concise and clear explanation of how to execute purl 2tog through the backloop. ai summary fuck off, where is phyllis?

ok after the Italian cast on drama earlier today I finally managed to cast on and knit the foundation rows...
only to find out that the amount of stitches is not enough for working on 40 cm circular needles even though the pattern calls for them lol

Finally knit the first row, the knot with the waste yarn accidentally came undone so I lost two stitches and I'm too much of a noob to know how to fix that, so I'm going to redo the entire thing tonight :(
When the pattern asks for an Italian cast on, which I've never done, so I look up a tutorial and step one is holding the yarn like with the long tail cast on, which I've also never done lmao

ok I thiiiiink I got it? but the first row is probably going to be a disaster. this is why I always do a cable or knitted cast on oof. But I really want to improve so I gotta master a tubular/italian cast on, with or without waste yarn

ok turns out the tubular cast on with waste yarn yields roughly the same results but might be a bit better for me, let's try it out
