danny shipping week day 7 –> dealer’s choice

danny, increasingly self-aware of his track record with guys, is trying to shift his attention to only the reformed bad guys. theo isn’t sure he quite falls into that category…but who is he to argue?

jackson doesn’t say goodbye when he leaves, and by the time he finds his way back to america, the two guys he left hanging are on opposite sides of the country and not exactly waiting with open arms. now it’s up to him to put in the work and get them both back, even if that means bouncing coast to coast to remind danny why they were joined at the hip for years and to needle his way back on to stiles’s shitlist (which is not so secretly the sexual tension list).

all vernon boyd ever wanted was to not eat lunch alone. he never expected to fall in love with the first people who decided to sit down and stay. sure, scott is just softhearted like that, concerned and eager to share more information with boyd than derek had been willing to give. and maybe lydia was just running from jackson after their breakup, parking herself across the cafeteria and trying to maintain the aloof and unaffected look. 

eventually it all melts into something more real - scott and boyd arguing about dog breeds and workout routines, lydia smugly superior but not so secretly proud when she glances over their classwork, and so much more laughter than nervous coughs and finger tapping. by the time they’ve noticed that they know each other for real - the many sides beneath the stereotypes - they’re inseparable. maybe it’s not ideal for high school, but really….is anything?

isaac would be lying if he said he was surprised that he’d been targeted by two different assassins working for different clients. that’s just his fucking luck and his past catching up with him. it is a surprise when the two women battling it out to kill him first decide to team up and subsequently go rogue. he guesses he’s on their team now? maybe a mascot? he’s just going to roll with it.

Cora stays long enough to realize Lydia’s taste in guys might not be quite as bad as she imagined…based on Scott and Stiles, at least. Stiles’s face is still utterly punchable sometimes and Scott still balks at being called kid, even when she’s teasing, but the longer she’s in Beacon Hills, the more those seem like good - in fact, almost normal - things to have in her life. Maybe this is what she came back for.
