WNBA 2016 Season Review.
The regular season is over and I'm excited for the playoffs to begin. Here is my brief season review. Rookie of the Year There is no contest. Brianna Stewart - Seattle Storm Most Improved Player. I think that there are only3 serious contenders for the most improved. I. Elizabeth Williams - Atlanta Dream 2. Tayler Hill - Washington Mystics 3. Tiffany Hayes - Atlanta Dream Most Valuable Player. It's a tight race this year with at least 4 players that can be crowed MVP. 1. Nneka Ogwumike - LA Sparks 2.Tina Charles - New York Liberty 3. Maya Moore - Minnesota Lynx 4.Breanna Stewart - Seattle Storm 5. Angel McCoughtry - Atlanta Dream All Rookie Team This rookie class is very strong and I'm sure there will be more than 5 players selected. 1. Breanna Stewart - Seattle Storm 2. Moriah Jefferson - San Antonio Stars 3. Aerial Powers - Dallas Wings 4. Tiffany Mitchell- Indiana Fever 5. Imani Boyette - Chicago Sky 6. Bria Holmes - Atlanta Dream 7. Courtney Williams - Connecticut Sun 8. Morgan Tuck - Connecticut Sun

Braces week 12.
It's exactly 3 months since I got my braces and became a metal mouth adult. I have been standing in front of the mirror trying to see the progress my teeth have made. I can't really tell if my teeth have moved much on the bottom. My top front teeth have really moved though. I'm thrilled to bits. My bite which was way off has also greatly improved. I can chew on my left side now which I couldn't do before. A definite bonus is that I stopped drinking tea 2 weeks ago and started using Pearl Drops Tooth Whitening toothpaste and it has really improved my teeth. The tea stains are noticeably reduced and my teeth look better than they have done in years. I'm excited about how they will look after a month. Seriously it is good value for money. I will try and did out a picture of the day the braces went on and compare it with today,

Second Braces Adjustment. Week 11.
I had my second adjustment yesterday. It was not as painful as the first one while it was being done. My Ortho put a double thick wire on my bottom molars. I don’t think he really did much with the left side of my mouth. When I left I felt a lot of pressure all over the right side of my face. That gradually escalated to full blown pain within a hour. By the time I went to bed, I was in hell. I really couldn’t sleep at all last night. So much pain. I felt like I had been kicked on the side of my face by a horse. This morning I still feel quite crap really. Lots of pressure and pain. I have a headache. Pain = progress so these stupid teeth better be moving. Ps. As bad at it feels now, it no where near as bad as the day after the braces first went on. On a side note, I am going to have to give up drinking black tea. My teeth are noticeably stained and I can’t brush as vigorously as I used to. To be fair I drink gallons of black tea and I always have a cup before I go to bed. I didn’t realise how bad it was for my teeth until now. I am going to try oil pulling in the mornings if I can remember. I will also use bicarbonate of soda to brush my teeth during the day and stick with the fluoride toothpaste at night. Hope that works.

First Braces Adjustment. Week 5.
My first brace retightening/ adjustment 3 days ago. I was really dreading it. I must say it was not as horrible as I thought it would be. The front 4 teeth were VERY painful when the orthodontist tightened the brackets and wires on them. The bottom one particularly so. The whole thing took about 15 mins. After wards I went home fully expecting to a lot of pain. The pain didn’t come. All I felt pressure. Overall it was uncomfortable but not unbearable.
