Snow stuck to Kisa’s blonde hair as Cid prepared the airship for launch. Tataru and Wedge gulped back tears of worry as they said their farewells. Kisa looked on, her brow furrowed as she wondered how Urianger was getting on so very far away. It wasn’t fair that she couldn’t have a parting moment. Tataru suddenly yelped with delight, pointing past Kisa. A familiar voice coughed to announce his arrival. Kisa turned, her breath sharply taken away by the crisp air. Urianger smiled, his lips a faint blue. “Cross sand and snow I have journeyed, that I might deliver this gift unto thee.’ He stepped towards his Miqo'te and took her hand in his, passing the crystal gently. His cool touch lingered, just out of sight of their friends. As they began to make their way over to greet him, he leaned in ever closer to Kisa til there was but a breath between them. ‘Pray, come back to me…’ he whispered, melting a snowflake in Kisa’s hair with his finger and thumb.
