Baby come back.

We’re without our Equinox for the week, but for once that’s a good thing, because we’re sans a car because she’s in the shop! Her new engine arrives Wednesday, and the mechanic should be finished installing it and getting everything in her playing nicely by end of day Friday. I can’t wait!

🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈 Well! For once we're overrun with females - TWO mama cats and their combined SEVEN two week old babies. Of the seven (7) babies, only one, a tabby, is a boy. The other six, mostly calico/dilute tortie (+ a solid black house panther) are lovely little girls. Their weights range from 228g to 310g (grams), their eyes are somewhat open, and they're all very reactive to touch. We noted a few fleas on two of them, but at this tiny and delicate age we will attempt to pick them out by hand - bathing is a last resort because of chills. Introducing: Mama #1 (calico - vocal and inquisitive) and Mama #2 (tabby - a little more shy and uncertain of things), and their seven little nuggets. We have no idea whose baby belongs to which mom. They switch around and nurse, groom, and otherwise care for whoever is within reach or is screeching for attention. The mamas themselves are trusting of us, and cautious but friendly. Names pending...we might go with astrological signs! But we're always up for ideas, so give us what you've got! Themes are always nice. Donations needed! Last but not least: with NINE new additions to our rescue, plus the three fosters (Midnight, and sisters Angel and Boots) + stray hold (Butterball) we already have, we could really use FOOD, CAT LITTER, & TERRAMYCIN EYE OINTMENT.
