JM said he didn't want any featuring on his first album bc it was his own presentation, every track revealing a part of his personality. Well, Letter can be interpreted as a song dedicated to fans... But i don't think it is, it's too personal, too deep inside JM's feelings you can't deny he's talking about a special someone. And JM asked JK to do the background vocals... why, if this is a fan song, JM doesn't need anyone to sing his love to armies ?? That's why it's feels very odd. I also agree with you, as time passes we might get to hear more about Jikook’s military process. We got them still mentioning GCF in Tokyo and even heard the rainy day fight multiple times throughout the years. So it’s not an impossible wish. They promised us 10 more weverse lives so we’re definitely hearing more about them. Every time I think about the reality of them doing the military together I can’t stay calm about it !!!! 😭

The video you sent about Letter was definitely very helpful. Thank you so much for that. :) Seeing Jungkook's endless support during Jimin's album promotions was already an unforgettable moment in itself. Regarding “Letter,” first of all, Jimin repeatedly stated that he didn't want any duets on the album, but in the released video of the song recording process of “Letter”, he continuously expressed how grateful he was to Jungkook. While recording the song, he kept saying things like, “Do whatever you want, Jungkook. Record as much as you want. I trust you, I feel very good because you're here.” Even the producer mentioned how it sounded like a duet with Jungkook's voice. Afterwards he hugged him and thanked him, you could see how relieved Jimin was because of Jungkook. It was really emotional and beautiful 💛

The part that caught my attention the most in the video was Jimin keeping the song “Letter” a secret. He didnt talk about it as much as the other songs. I mean, It's a fan song, you're expressing your love for your fans with your most sincere and genuine feelings, but you don't want to talk about this song much. Hmmm, that's a bit strange. If it is a fan song, wouldn't you want everyone to hear it and get their reactions?

After seeing the theoris and different views about Letter, My thoughts on whether “Letter” is about Jungkook or not are similar to my thoughts on Jungkook's “J” tattoo.

To sum it up shortly, there is no doubt that Letter is a very emotional and open love 'letter', so my opinion is that Jimin wrote this song about the two things that are most important to him in his life. I think he wrote it about both Jungkook and his fans. Jungkook; because he was by Jimin's side during good and bad times from what we've seen on screen and from off screen stories we hear from them. Jungkook didn’t hesitate to give his support to Jimin no matter what the subject is. No one can deny that and their endless love for each other. For his fans; because we all know how much he loves performing on stage and in front of fans. He truly gets his power from the support and love he receives, so im sure he also he feels thankful for fans too. Because why not? It doesn't have to be just about one thing. Yes, maybe it was more about one than the other. But we know how much Jimin values both of them and we know that Jungkook said ''I'm your fan.'', including himself in the fan category too. Wink, wink... I also think the same about Jungkook's ‘J’ tattoo. As he mentioned, it is his initial but the fact that he placed the J exactly on the same finger as M, and the fact that he only gets the J and M tattoos touched up (which stands out darker than any other tattoos of his and he shows it off so proudly) makes it a double-meaning tattoo, in my opinion.

Makes me wonder If I would get my own initial tattooed on me… Probably no. Let’s be honest Jungkook 🤷‍♀️

Since you didn’t specify I don’t know what are you talking about but I can only guess. I also want to add few other things.

After their discharge from military when they did their first live together, they were already casually having a conversation about their weights and the other members’ bodies. They did mention Taehyung and his workout plan quite a lot and how his body is already in shape after the military. Honestly it’s a simple concern, they’re human , BOTH talked about wanting to lose weight and starting a diet plan. It’s not shocking. I don’t see anything bad about this.

The Jikook live after that, I believe is what you are talking about. Jm reads a fan comment that says “Don’t go on a diet.” and Jungkook adds “you have to, you have to!” Also Jimin replies to another diet related comment with “I don’t go on a diet to starve anymore, it’s in the past.”

They did go through the military together so it’s best to assume they know each other really well. Jimin and Jungkook are both adults. Jungkook’s comment is literally nothing close to a negative criticism, he doesn’t mean any malice. He is adding to the conversation topic that they probably discussed between themselves so many times. Jimin has talked about his healthy diet in his past vlives so many times. They both know it’s not about starving. I don’t know what makes people think Jm is talking about st*rving himself whenever he mentions the word “diet”. Some people are really holding onto the past but forgetting Jimin’s own positive words about healthy diet plans. Most of the BTS members are actively working out and building their body. It’s not a crime if Jimin wants to take care of his body too. If Jimin himself says that he needs to lose weight, I’m sure he knows what’s best for himself, not us.

So yeah Jungkook didn’t say something rude, he didn’t tell Jimin to st*rve himself. They’ve been talking about it and considering it since the military discharge. We’ve seen all of the members talk about going on a diet and losing/gaining weight so many times, both on and off camera. This situation is nothing different.

I remember looking for vids about Jimin's diet and eating disorder story when i came accross this video. I felt that Jungkook was very protective towards Jimin and so i got interested in their dynamic.

First of all, I’m really sorry for replying so late. I was so busy I couldn’t log in. I’ve finally fueled up myself with enough Jikook contents and edits today.

🍁We often see other shippers dismissing Jungkook’s care for Jimin, but rarely do they ever talk bad about how attentive he is when it comes to Jimin’s eating habits. Jungkook has never hesitated to show how much he cares in that aspect, he is always so gentle and careful with his words. He has never made a single negative comment and he consistently encourages Jimin to eat well. After that one moment in AYS, I’m convinced that whenever Jungkook tastes something delicious, Jimin immediately comes to his mind. It’s definitely a regular thing for Jungkook to cook for Jimin.

🍁I wanna give special mention to Jimin’s birthday VLIVE because it was chaotic in the best way, I don’t think I’ve ever seen Jimin that shy, giggly and blushy on camera before. There’s one thing I’m really confused about, it’s when Hobi said “Why are you doing it in his (Jungkook’s) studio?” Now, hear me out. Personally, I always find moments like these pretty normal, maybe there were no other rooms available and that’s totally fine. On its own, it’s not really a major Jikook moment for me but what does make me raise an eyebrow is the way Hoseok asked the question, which clearly made Jikook stumble for a few seconds, Jimin couldn’t even lift his head that made Hoseok hug him and laugh.

Is it really that big of a deal that he is in Jk’s studio. Honestly, it’s often the members’ reactions that make us question Jikook the most. If you’ve ever kept a secret from another person you will know that every question makes you hyper-aware. Makes you think that you’re caught on and you immediately start acting defensive. Quite similar to the “I think he likes man.” moment between Jimin and Tae.

⭐️ I’ve never made comments about Letter and Jikook. So please, lf anyone has more thoughts on that matter or if you want to share your feelings about Jikook and “Letter,” do share them with me. I would love to hear.

🍁The reality is, we may never get an official statement or confirmation anytime soon. But the evolution of Jikook’s dynamic since 2016 is undeniable, they’re becoming more and more obsessed with each other by the day. At this point, I don’t even think we need confirmation. ( we might actually need one because I don’t think the other shippers will ever stop talking bad about Km till that day.)

🍁It’s not just Jikook shippers who are noticing and admiring their bond anymore. Even show hosts, YouTubers, livestreamers, random people who has seen them for the first time are commenting on their chemistry on a causal day.

While I don’t have a specific favorite moment, I love that we get to see jikook’s playful bickering more now! For me, it shows they tend to be on similar wavelengths and “get” each other’s thought processes. AYS and their July live were highlights with how the bickering derailed from JK sneaking sleeping pictures to punishment for being handsy to JM whining to end the live. There is never a dull moment with their bickering.

As for jikookery, scattered conversations about jikook’s apparent friendship “break up” during Manila 2016 were what made me pay more attention to them as a duo. I was still new so I believed popular fandom narratives (at the time) of Jungkook disliking/being annoyed at Jimin.

Funnily enough, scrutinizing them made me think the opposite with the way they often happened to be in each other’s orbit. The members confused each for the other sometimes, their teasing/prodding looked like play fighting, Jungkook came to Jimin’s shared dorm to sleep in his bed, and jikook had a strange charged energy when they were alone together. I initially chalked it up to the fandom negatively misreading these two close friends.

I’d say the LY: Her comeback months were what finally drew me in. Jikook seemed to bounce back multitudes stronger from whatever conflict they had. Compared to now those moments were barely eyebrow raising, but something about their bond felt divergent from the other duo relationships in BTS. Then GCFT dropped late 2017, and I never really looked back since. Newer fans wouldn’t understand how shocking the GCF drop was. It still seems a little unreal even now

Yes for sure, it takes another level of comfort zone and intimacy to bicker with the other person. The way they are acting like an old married couple you can easily tell that they’ve been together for so long. Jimin and Jungkook both love to get a reaction out of each other.

Manila fight was definitely something, I’m sure all BTS members argue with each other from time to time BUT Jikook having an argument to the point where it showed it remains on the stage, tells me it was definitely something personal rather than work/group related.

Even if you’re not a shipper you can easily notice that Jungkook always gravitates towards Jimin unintentionally in crowded places. It’s not that hard to notice how they have similar characteristics and interests, like you said anon. 🫠 AYS showed us a whole different pov to their relationship. Realistically speaking, I can’t imagine any pairing doing a whole travel show by themselves other than Jikook. Don’t get me wrong, we all know BTS members are comfortable with each other but in this case Jikook are definitely something else I can’t name.

I think it’s safe to say they’re one soul in two different bodies or should I say “two halves of an apple.” (it s a very popular saying in my country) Considering that the members always confuse Jimin and Jungkook while talking about them. I love it when that happens tbh.

Ok, this is my jikook story. I'm an BTS fan since 2013 and i've never thought bts members could have any special relationship between them until this year in april when i came accross a jikook video... JK and JM are my favorite members that's true but i feel like i've been missing so many intimate and loving moments between these two men througout the years , i'm still not over it... I've been obsessed with those video analysis since then and i'm dying to watch AYS season 2 because i feel like they may come out proudly and end the other shipping rumors... What do you think, am i delulu to think that ?

Yes, missing out on the moments and not noticing details when they were happening is kind of heartbreaking but I think it’s also good in some way because now you have so many Jikook analysis, conspiracy theories and edits to catch up, lol.

When I started shipping Jikook it wasn’t like “oh I ship Jimin and Jungkook now.” It was more like “wtf is going on between these two, why are they acting sketchy?”

The breaking point for me was that one Jungkook live he did by himself and he sang Lie to bring Jimin (who was wearing a bathrobe) to his room and the infamous Osaka live. One of the BIGGEST reasons why I believe Jikook have something going on more than simple friendship is because of how silently they move, like they’re hiding something.

As for your question; I think we’re ALL little bit delulu, we’re all excited to see AYS2 but I don’t think Jikook are coming out, sorry. 😣 Their interactions were restricted and cautious back in the days but as the years passed by ( especially after military) I think they look very happy in their own comfort zone for now. Extremely happy that they didn’t realize how domestic they were being before that one reporter gave reality check to Jungkook and clocked their lovey-dovey ass. Honestly I’m still blaming that reporter for this Jikook drought.

It looks like they’re carefree and aware that they don’t owe any written&verbal explanation to any other shippers or so. I've technically been a jikooker since I first started watching BTS's non-music content. (Context: I got into BTS around the Boy in Luv era). At the time, I shipped yoonmin a bit more (in more of a "I like their dynamic the most" sort of way), but was aware that Jimin seemed to have a crush on JK. The way I saw it back then though, was that JK didn't like Jimin back in that way (looking at it now, with more life experience, I see it more as JK was just very young and unsure of how to express his emotions in general not just romantic, especially in front of a camera). Once GCF Tokyo came out I basically cried because I saw it as JK showing that he really cares for Jimin a lot more than I realized, and I've been a full-time jikooker ever since 😅.

Something really switched in their dynamic around 2016-2017, and they've been getting increasingly open as the years pass. Even when some think they're starting to drift apart, we get content that comes out later that shows they were actually joined at the hip the whole time. It's a bit funny and sad to see this cycle still continues in the fandom to this day. I'm a little scared, but also very excited for chapter 3 jikook (and BTS in general) has in store for us though!

Just a side note:

I'm not even one to romantically ship real people. Usually I just "ship" friendship dynamics. The only other irl people romantic ship I had before Jikook was Phan (Dan and Phil) lmao.

Hmmm I see, i think it’s a collective experience to start with different ships and then become a Jikooker. Early debut years the members had lots of interactions in front of the camera and because of their different personalities each ship had a different and unique dynamic. It was more common in the ship world to ship two very different characters rather than same characteristics so I understand why some of the ships were so popular back in the day.

I find it very cute that Jimin didn’t stay silent and he was always so open about his love and care for Jungkook. On the other hand Jungkook was so young that its not hard to assume he didn’t know what he wanted and how to approach different situations. It’s so unfortunate people mistook it as a dislike towards Jimin. I mean Jungkook himself literally said in an interview that -he thinks Jimin likes him a lot and because he is shy he played hard to get most of the time.-

So nice to see them grow so beautifully. A lot of people say their dynamic changed in 2016, (unspoken fact between Jikookers) i’m kinda sad that I didn’t get to experience those times. (Not the famous Manila fight tho, I’m glad I didn’t see it lol) 🥲 after GCF in Tokyo dropped there was a video of Jungkook watching it and talking so excitedly about it and the process, now it’s a like second nature to him to film Jimin that he doesn’t even mention it. It was definitely a shift in their relationship and to the public eye too.

In one of his We/verse live Jk talked about how he doesn’t care about what the company and haters think and he just wants to what he wants. When you take that statement and compare the difference between young Jk and the current Jk, you can see how he doesn’t hesitate to show his admiration to Jimin now, it’s the reason why we have so many Jikook moments.

I’m also really excited for chapter 3 BTS - and Jikook. Why are you scared? Hehe. Every time I ask myself “Can Jikook get any gayer than this?” They always do. So I’ve accepted my fate, now I’m just waiting for AYS2 to drop but I’m losing my patience 🤨

Wait how do we know jikook shared rooms during their tokyo trip? I know jimin talked about jk booking the hotel room and plane tickets but was there something else too? Or I'm just forgetting things since there's too many and i have been here for yrs as well (not as much as you but some 5+).

Of course we don’t have any official confirmation of that but Jimin’s travel vlog that he posted on Twitter has some scenes that implies that. The framed photo on the hotel wall and there’s one scene of Jungkook in the hotel room filmed by Jimin, in the hotel room with their Halloween costumes. (some people who booked the hotel room later on gave details all about that and they were talking about only one hotel room with the room number 1108), them wearing the same green hoodie on different days etc. it’s the little stuff like that we were analyzing. And honestly thinking back why would they need two separate rooms for a short trip 🤓

I was also drawn into jikook (& BTS) around 2016-17, and their gradual shift over the years has definitely been something. They used to hover around each other a lot more cautiously. 2017 me would blank screen with recent jikook. They’re kind of insane retrospectively, but it’s normal to everyone now. I fueled myself with G.C.F Tokyo for years while jikook currently have a whole travel show together? Wild

They’ve always been such peas in a pod, even early on, but I feel as if we get to see that more blatantly nowadays, especially on AYS.

Ahh so good to see another 2017 Jikooker. You explained everything really well. I think 2021> Jikook shippers don't fully understand how crazy things are between Jikook now, because they fully dived into so many moments of them just straight up being gay.

I still remember how we made analysis videos about G.C.F in Tokyo just to find out if they slept in the same bed or not. 😭 Now we not only have Jikook sleeping in the same bed also slapping each other’s butts and flirting 24/7. How long have you been a jikooker? Any thoughts on how they’ve changed over the years?

I’ve been a jikooker since 2017 and that’s also the year I’ve discovered BTS.

It’s going to sound a little cliché but I think the biggest difference between Jikook over the years is how comfortable they’ve become around the cameras too. In my opinion at the beginning of their careers they were very careful of their image and they were keeping everything professional to focus on music and all, not showing their friendly and intimate side. However, after making a huge impact on music industry as a BTS, Jikook also got comfortable around each other and at the public too.

Looking back at the early years of their careers, they had so many moments as well, but they were so young, so they were cautious. I believe that since they made impact and their career have become more established, Jikook are more focused on their relationship. Hence why we get so many moments both on and off camera.

Their bond became stronger and no one can deny that they enjoy eo’s company so much. I’m just so proud of seeing their relationship grow this big.

P.s. 2017 me would never believe that the company allowed them to have their own show. 🥴
