Aha, I’ve heard a lot of people say that, actually! I guess maybe it’s because I’m from Toronto, but I can see how it’d take some getting used to if you aren’t from a place that gets a lot of snow.

It wasn’t the same for you when you came over here but with the heat? I know Florida heat is something else compared to whatever heat y’all get in Toronto. If you do get. I always hear that place is just cold. x)

I hear ‘Pensacola’ and a wave of memories flood back to me. I can imagine myself sittin’ on Pensacola Beach, rubbin’ that sugar-white sand between my palms. I did know you moved to P-Cola so welcome to the 850. My parents still live there so I’ve got that direct connection, too. Tampa’s great, actually. Big city with major sports teams. Beach is a li’l further. Been here for over seven years so it’s home enough. I miss that P-Cola sun, though.

Same thing when I hear Sanford. But, hah, thanks. I’ve been here for a little while, moved with your cousin. But then I couldn’t leave, you know? I like it here too much. But with your parents here you always have an excuse to come over. ------ Tampa ain’t so bad of a place to be, though. But does the sun really feel different over there than it does over here? Not homely enough?

Yeah? And you’re not that far away. Pensacola to Orlando is a 6 hour and some change drive, there’s actually flights from Pensacola to Orlando so I don’t go to Disney World very much at all. ------ But I hear it’s different too. Bigger, I think.

Never been to Pensacola, but I feel this way about Orlando sometimes. Although I do miss those snowy nights once winter sets in, too.

Snow, that’s still something I fight to get used to. When we’re traveling and I run into snow I still feel like I’m a lot colder than everyone else is feeling.

Didn’t wanna leave P-Cola, either. Definitely home. But after movin’ ‘round to Atlanta ‘n’ even Canada for football, trainin’ at FCW had me back in the Sunshine State. Tampa’s been good for my family, but it ain’t home. 

Sanford is actually more of a real home to me then Pensacola, since that’s where I grew up, but Pensacola really has a lot of... familial memory for me now. Moved out here and now I don’t want to leave. ------ But Tampa I hear ain’t so bad either. It’ll start to feel more like home eventually. A different kind of home but it’s still home.
