Introducing, Vintage Lightning McQueen in the year 1954! This is a picture I drew based off my story Time Laps in archive of our own, Chapter 12.

I am SO stinkin proud of this piece. This was the first time I tried no line art in a more realistic approach to better imitate the style from the movie and let me tell you, it came out a thousand times better than what I expected! Lightning was actually fairly easy, but when I got to Mater. . . Whooh, boy! I bit off more than I could chew. However, I actually had a pretty good time just focusing on small sections of him and then moving out after a while and seeing it all come together! Also, might've went a little crazy with the dust. Lol But I think it looks cool!

I love these two knuckleheads, one of my favorite movies from my childhood that I've currently been binging at the moment. I adore the thought of these two racing each other all over Radiator Springs after Mater got to keep his jets!
