That awkward moment when a big actually scares you more than talking to your crush... Oops!

Four huge cats prowl around a gaggle of visitors. They are tigers by their black stripes, but their fur is icy white with not a hint of orange. They act like house-cats; they're nuzzling the spectators with their huge heads, eyes half closed in pleasure. A red-headed boy strokes one affectionately, and a moment later, the beast has vanished. The boy is holding a folded origami feline. The stripes have become ink. Were they always? He folds the paper smaller and smaller, until he's holding a fat notebook. He riffles the pages, and a tiger-shaped scribble seems to race across the paper, like a child's kineograph book. On the cover you see a pawprint. But refocus your eyes, and it is a symbol from the strange alphabet you have been searching for. You note it down for the Paper Tree.
