Although I did enjoy this brief I think I would’ve benefited a lot more by if my engagement within the course was of the higher quality and also my organisational skills were at the same level. I enjoyed the process of working professionally for real clients and found it a very rewarding challenge going and finding them independently. I also wish I could have completed more briefs while doing this module. Better communication on my end with uni is definitely needed.

This is my mood board and monster sketches for the Adwaith album cover. Which led me on to this designs.

With this design completed it was a great template for me to use to complete the other designs.

The reason the final design is incomplete is that the song is yet to be named.

This is a sketch playing with the inside slip illustration and how all the monsters would look together. As the album is yet to be finalised it is unfinished.

My initial sketch incorporating the foxglove and the chequerboard pattern. Then colour. After speaking to the client they were happy with the design base so I just finessed and played with colour until the outcome was better.

My client studies brief I will be completing three different self directed assignments.

The first I will be working with welsh music prize winners Adwaith to create they’re album cover, 3 single covers and a slip illustration inside the album.

The second i will be working with singer songwriter and self proclaimed afronaught Eva Lazarus creating a portrait of her that highlights her new jewellery merchandise.

The third i will be designing the logo for a broad new welsh based independent polymer clay jewellery brand.

I rang each client on the phone and spoke about what they wanted. These are my consultation’s with each.
