My goy girlfriend went to Jerusalem and did one of those settler tours. We just don’t talk about the conflict (other than occasional jibes from her) because I refuse to. She respects that mostly, but I can tell she’s aching for a fight.

I do read a lot though, but even if I wanted to argue, she’ll probably pull from personal experience and I’ll pull from history books, so I don’t think a talk would even be productive. Also, like everyone sticking their noses in this conflict from their couches in the first world, she’s got a shit ton of antisemitic biases to unpack before we even get to being able to discuss current matters like adults…
