the double helix knows,

still spitting bits in patterned recognition

of a distant ancient ancestor's condition.

stitched into the soul.

the blood, the bone, the vision.

inner deep dimensions never shown,

or carved apart in hardened hearts

to starve the glow.

what part or whole's omitted?

all the pins and pistons, cartilage,

the heart, the spine, the digits?

picked apart, or twining deep within it.

witness never witnessed,

would you wish to see the seeker's dreams?

are private miseries and passions

bursting past the circuitry?

the life and all it brings.

the conscious flesh and half-seen fleeting scenes.

the data and the stream eternal.

burning brightest, never what it seems.

Decrease the kraken!

Here's my embroidered/painted/knitted octopus that's going on the back of the jeans jacket I'm sewing. The original embroidery pattern is by Hook Line Tinker, I just added some extra knitting to the pattern.

By now I've finished all the embroidery for the jacket and started sewing it together! It's all sea-themed

it's definitely my predisposition to extreme frugality+redneck engineering, but i'm now obsessed with creating things literally without buying Anything. no supplies no tools no nothing, only the stuff you can just find outside, like Plants, Sticks, and Rocks.

I'm making textiles with nothing but foraged plant materials using no tools except sticks. Nature allows you to do this! There's no rules! I mean okay well maybe there might be some rules sometimes but they're just weak human rules! The plants themselves? They're like "Why sure! You can make yarn with nothing but fibers from the dead stem I don't need anymore, a couple sticks from that tree over there, and your own body and mind! Why not?"

Plants like to give us gifts! And nobody has the power to stop them!

we all know and love dog coded characters but what about their cousin, falcon coded characters. characters whose loyalty is fierce, but more distant, less physically affectionate, an unspoken but mutually understood bond. whose devotion to you is a language that only the two of you understand. whose fearsome appearance never lets you forget the privilege you hold in having earned that devotion. who require careful handling and patience to bond with, so you don't slip and cut yourself on their sharp edges. whose trust is given after you place yours in them, not before. whose dependence on you is less apparent but no less real. whose power is only equal to their fragility. who can easily leave your side, but will always return when you hold out your hand and call them home.
