In the movie, Gabriel does not erase his abuse like his in-show counterpart. Unlike in the show, he does not take advantage of Adrien and instead shows remorse for hurting him. It is clear that Gabriel in the show and in the movie are completely different characters.
In the movie, Gabriel can be redeemed, but his counterpart in the show cannot be redeemed under any circumstances.

Honestly felt super satisfying as a long time fan to see the movie with the reveal at the end. Everything in the show has been dragged out so much and made so complicated that it’s become sort of off-putting. But the movie really pulled me into the characters again and made everything better.

It can’t be Miraculous without them destroying the Eiffel Tower at least once
#miraculous ladybug#spoilers#ml movie#nah but the chemistry between Marinette and Adrien in the movie is really chemistry-ing#and you can tell that Mari actually likes Chat as well as Adrien and is actually torn#doing it so much better than the show#despite the singing which just does not fit to me for some reason#the only one that felt like it fit was the little High School Musical moment they had on the stage#also I liked Hawkmoth’s song
