Ngl, if they have different views on freedom, then I can see Luffy using his DF similar to how Kaido was using it.

I heard from somewhere/someone that the Azure Dragon (the model Kaido has) is knows as this guardian that is believed to protect cities and civilians in said city, but the way Kaido used it was not used as it's intended purpose, instead Momonosuke is the one fulfilling that DF's purpose now that Kaido, the original owner of the fruit who was abusing said power, is gone. (or.. I believe that he and BM is. We were shown bodies and a flashback, I fully believe they're dead.)

So, you could argue that, in a similar sense, Luffy's devil fruit was intended to be used with a different idea of Liberation. The Liberation aspect is still there, but it could be entirely different than how Luffy's using it. (I'd like to talk about this part more but then it'd go to manga spoilers dmjdnfn so I'll leave this here.)

So yea, the idea of Nika and Luffy being one in the same but having very different views in freedom is not entirely impossible. And who knows? Maybe Nika's either biding his time until the last minute, or maybe while he still has a different view on the whole thing, but is just learning a few things from Luffy. And, at the same time... he couldn't just let the host of his powers die back in Wano like what happened with Joyboy in the war.

I can't exactly speak of what type of perspective in freedom Nika might have that could be seen differently from Luffy's, but one thing's for sure that it's probably a but more complex than the way it is for Luffy's view on it.

Maybe spending a day or two with Luffy will teach the Sun God a few things, who knows? Lmfao

I mean.. this is Luffy, the man who accidentally rizzed up the most beautiful lady in the world that hated men, without even trying, and then was able to persuade her to free his brother from Impel Down. So, who's to say that he isn't able to persuade God itself to seeing things differently? He beat a one before(albeit fake) xkdjrfnn

wait this might be a stupid question but do you guys think nika is a actual person and not just a myth attached to the devil fruit?

when i say this i mean i think nika only becomes truly alive when his will matches up with whoever ate his devil fruit, so when his and luffy’s wills aligned he crawled out in wano to fight while luffy half recovered from his death. i guess what im trying to say is if i wonder if luffy and nika are both fighting for the steering wheel on a daily basis, and him calling g5 is like him surrendering his body somewhat to nika.
