when it comes to lore recently people keep asking what is lore and what isnt? Mostly its with our smaller streamers so their lore keeps getting swept away unless its involved in bigger lore or its ignored all together. So lets just go the "guilty untill proven innocent" route and just call it all "lore untill proven otherwise".

the fact that he genuinely mined further into the prison than anyone else was able to before simply because he was bored and wanted to tear something down is ridiculous....like he exploited a genuine flaw in the system and most likely would have made it inside if it wasn't for quackity stopping him during the stream.

can you imagine rivals duo sitting in the cell, hearing someone entering and both of them think it's their back up plans coming through but it's just foolish like haha what's up guys, cozy space you got here !

the point of a trial is providing evidence for what the defendant has done.

they literally caught him being two seconds away from killing c!tubbo as well as seeing the proof of what he planned to do the rest of the server. they also had something that resembled a witness statement when c!tommy stepped up and told them what c!dream had admitted to, like blowing up the community house.

they also discussed his sentencing and came up with the idea of the prison because they didn't want to kill him, but until the prison reveal had no other way of securing everyone's safety.

"it's supposed to be impartial"

there wasn't one person on the server that c!dream hadn't planned to or had already hurt.

his best friend, that would be as close to impartial - or at least biased to c!dream as possible at that time, didn't only agree with the sentencing - but helped escort him to the prison.

the dream smp isn't a 1:1 representation of our reality, there's not nearly enough people nor a system in place for them to provide a "fair trial" as we would define it in our world. can we please stop doing analysis from the perspective that their world is the same as ours?
