All right, hold onto your butts, people. By popular demand, here’s the full extent of everything that I have related to the various Kuroshitsuji Musicals. I’m linking this post on the sidebar of my blog as well, to be easily located.

 Any subtitles will be in .ass format (yes, I know, lol, etc. XDDD), which means that they will play automatically if they are in the same folder and have the same name as your video file. I recommend the VLC video player; it doesn’t work with Windows Media Player for some reason. Everything will have the correct file names when downloaded, and every subtitle file will have credits for the translations where I can manage.

Placing everything under a cut for easy editing purposes.

SUPER VOCAL

The best singing competition show. Ever.

I am impressed at the amount of talent in this show. 36 participants and all of them talented as hell. The only reason not everyone is a Principal at the end is merely because of confidence at the time of performing. Which is the only reason Zhou Shen, who has the voice of an angel, was a bit lackluster (it must have been the beginning of his career.. he was nervous most of the times, thank God for sweet Wang Xi who was always rooting for him 🥰).

The lead "actor" of this show is, no doubt, Ayunga. He performed flawlessly every song. The judges and the rest of the boys loved and admired him. Didn't matter if his French wasn't good, his harmonization compensated everything. The 2nd lead, but more or less in the 2nd half, was Zhen Yunglong. I love to see them interacting, the chemistry! And when they formed their group... ahhh, the mentors and their students 🥰 Both of them with the experience and confidence, guiding the youngsters, the "1975" team 🥰

And both enjoy performing so much! It is so much fun to see the singing together. And while not singing, they both enjoy watching the others, and how cute was them worrying for their children? (They deserved to win, tbh, but still, I loved that the professor invited the children to perform with him in his concert... isn't that the best??)

So yes, it is a joy to see the charm of YunCiFang 🥰

There is also a bit of a fight over Zhou Shen... Yuncifang wanted him but Wang Xi was adamant to have him 🤣 so it provided some fun moments:

Besides them, I became a huge fan of Wang Xi (that silky voice 🤤), Yu Di (always consistent in his performances... I love that he got a couple of jobs while the judges were scoring him 😄), Liao Jialin (I prefer his countertenor over Gao Tianhe), Wang Kai (a pro... he was just too competitive 😅), Li Qi, Cai Cai, Hong Zhiguang and Ma Jia and well, all of them actually. All of them very sweet, sensitive boys. The only one I didn't care, in spite of his huge talent, was Gao Tianhe 😅 such a diva.

- I'll cover you (+ all the other duets btw Ayunga & ZYL. They improved so much since that infamous performance from their college days)

Now I am in the rabbit hole that is Super Vocal 🥲 I am happy this show open doors for them, and that musicals and opera are more popular now in China. These guys deserve every ovation they are surely getting today. I wish I could know more about their current professional lives and how did their tour went after the final. The ending had many tears, including from Yuncifang, and I admit I also shed some tears 🥺

I watched several high rated cdramas this year that are really good (Yanxi Palace, Minglan, Love & Destiny...). But there is one that is criminally underrated; it is like being a fan of a good Jdrama all over again. Few reviews and comments 😭  The drama is “My Treasure”, or 生活家

I loved almost everything about it, the leads, the dynamics between Qiu Dong Na (our very charming female lead) and her mother, her bosses, her enemy... basically, she has chemistry with everyone. What a amazing actress! I even love her physical look and her voice, so different from other Chinese actresses.

It is a very heartwarming drama, basically at first is a slice of life of a mother and daughter living happily with what little they have. The mother is a bit loud, but strong, and she adores her daughter, who equally loves her mother. Dong Na is a recent graduate CPA, and after quitting at her 1st job, she starts working with her former boss (she used to be his assistant for a couple of years). And the relationship between her and her boss, Gu Fei, is absolutely delightful! They both respect and care very much for each other, and with flashbacks from the years she was a student + his assistant, it is not hard to see their bond and how they rely on each other. It is no wonder they eventually realize they love each other... their dynamics were super sweet! I enjoyed so much every single conversation they had with each other.

 While I understand people would not like to watch this drama because of the age gap, in the drama she is around 22 and he is around 35, so the age gap is not very noticeable. And they both learn and scold each other, so there is never a power imbalance.

Super sweet and normal; one of my favorite Cdramas for sure.
