<<Flash back on Sooyoung's freshman year in college>>
"YVES!" A guy called for my nickname back in highschool. Yes, I was called Yves back then. It's some sort of a stage name at school since I would always dance on stage, also everyone at the dance academy called me by that name as well. I can't really remember how it started, but that's that. I just got used to it.
"Hyung!" I greeted the guy back. He is my closest friend since highschool, and we both went to the same highschool, and same dance academy. He is a year older than me. We didn't really plan to go to the same university as he does, but I guess we're really inseparable.
Some people even think of us as a couple. I would always cringe on the thought. I never thought of him as someone I'd get romantically involved with. We both have been clear with that from the start.
It is my first day today, so he decided to meet me for lunch. We went to the nearest cafe and hangout there.
"You finally made it here, huh? How's your first day going?" He asked.
"Normal? Awkward?" I replied.
"You haven't made any friends yet?" He asked again.
"Why do you sound like my mom?" I told him giving a grump look. He laughed at me.
"By the way, our friends are planning to have a drink tonight." He said and I interrupted him
"Yeah, I know. I read the message in our group chat." I stared at him, "and you came up with that idea of bringing a total stranger as a first day tradition?!" I told him.
He laughed at me getting pissed at his idea, "What? It sounded fun, and everyone is excited about it. C'mon Yves! It will be fun!"
"What choice do I have, right? I don't want to pay for the whole thing tonight. I know how you guys drink and it's A LOT!" I told him and he couldn't stop laughing at me. Yeah, our friendship is like this. We're like siblings who seem to always fight. He is like a soft brother to me, and I'm that snobbish sister who is always angry at him. But whenever we needed someone to listen to our thoughts we were always there for each other. We understood each other so well. He is my bestfriend.
I went to my next class after that. I went inside our classroom, and sat on the last seat at the side. The chair next to me was empty then. I looked around, and it seems that everyone is sort of acquainted already. Well, I guess there are those people that can easily get friends. I'm not that type though.
A little later, a girl came by our classroom. I guess I could say that she caught my attention. She had that different aura from the others. She was sort of sweet and strong at the same time. She walked towards my direction, and looked at the seat next to me. I guess she went to the first empty seat she saw. She sat next to me. I greeted her with a bow, and looked away. It was awfully silent between us. Normally, you'd start a small talk when this happens, right?
I glanced at her, since I was really curious about her. She placed her elbow on the table infront of her and rested her chin on her palm. She was looking at the pamphlet the school gave us as we entered the university. She noticed me looking at her, so I looked away immediately and pretended to look at my phone.
Then I got a text from hyung. He reminded me about tonight's party. That I needed to bring a stranger. It made me feel cold sweat, as I thought this girl next to me could be the only person in this room I want to take with me. At least I could bring someone beautiful. So I gathered all of my thoughts and words to talk to her.
"You need something?" She spoke. She beat me to it. I guess I was so obvious. "Do you want to look at this?" She was referring to the pamphlet.
"Sorry, I was just gonna ask you something..." I stuttered a bit, "Would you like to go to a party after class?" That's when I realised that I was too straightforward and she might not approve of it. Cold sweat ran to my forehead.
"All of a sudden? Like what? Wow. I thought you were going to ask for my name." She said while she covered her mouth with her hand, and laughed at the thought. Maybe she thought I was funny.
"I'm sorry, I'm not really used to this. Honestly, we have this challenge to bring a stranger later, if not, then I'll have to pay for everything..." I explained to her, and got cut off.
"Still not gonna ask for my name?" She said, "I'm Jinsoul. Jung Jinsoul. Don't go asking around strangers without telling them your name first. What were you thinking."
"A-ah! I'm really sorry." I felt so embarassed, "I'm Ha Sooyoung. I'm sorry. Nice to meet you." I can't remember how many times a bowed at her that it took me a while to realize she was holding her hand out waiting for a handshake. I shyly touched her hand and shook it.
"Great!" She said. "Where's the party going to be held? Do we go there after class?"
"Yeah, I'll drive our way there." I told her with my soft voice.
"Ooooh! Great!" She enthusiastically said.
After our class, we went to the bar where our little party will be held. It was a little early, we came at 6, and no one was there yet. So we decided to just stay inside my car, and just listened to some music. She was looking at her phone, watching videos. She sometimes would tell me that she likes the current song that was playing.
Someone knocked at my window, though I already know who it was. I rolled the window down, and hyung was there. He bended and tried to look at who I was with.
"Ohh! You really brought someone!" He told me.
"Of course! You know me. I don't just let you beat me." I told him.
"Yeah... well I guess I lost this time." I looked around him, and saw that he brought his roommate.
"Ha! You couldn't even bring a stranger!" I laughed at his face.
"Yeah, right. Whatever." He rolled his eyes, "Come on, let's go inside."
We stepped out of the car. Jinsoul came out of the car looking so cool. She was tall and had black hair, and her fashion sense made her aura even more like a celebrity. I was in awe just looking at her like that. I noticed hyung looking at her too. I guess he was "starstrucked"?
He repeatedly hit my side with his elbow and whispered, "Yah, yah, how did you manage to bring that girl?"
"First of all, close your mouth. Second, let me introduce you, this is Jung Jinsoul, my classmate." I introduced both parties, and the guys really felt shy around Jinsoul. Ugh! I cringed over hyung so much, he was so obvious that he fell for her immediately. Jinsoul didn't seem to care though.
While we were drinking, hyung frequently talked to Jinsoul, and would brag. He's always like this whenever he likes someone. His mood is suddenly different. He would be so extra... at everything. He would be extra funny too. Jinsoul would laugh at him, and with everyone being kinda tipsy. I was not drinking though, since I had to drive home. Jinsoul would be so touchy at times, and would talk to me with her face close to mine. It was kinda embarassing and awkward. But she didn't care, I guess I was just overly conscious.
Hyung got drunk so bad though, and we went home. His roommate took him home. They took a taxi since they were both drunk. While I decided to take Jinsoul home. She was drunk too and I had to hold her while walking. I let her sit inside the car, and put on her seatbelt.
"Hey, Jinsoul, I'll take you home. But I need to know where you live first." I asked her, but failed to get an answer since she passed out. "I guess I'll just have to take you to my place."
We arrived at my place. It was a struggle, having to hold her while walking, but we made it. She got a little conscious, and repeatedly told her that she can stay in my place, and she should rest before going home.
She would just nod as her response while I settle her at the sofa. It felt tiring tending at a drunk Jinsoul, so I rested for a bit. When I was about to stand up, she grabbed my hand and pulled me towards her. I was completely caught off-guard. I did not expect that. She held my face with both her hands and squeezed my cheeks. She looked at me with her eyes half-open. "You are totally my type. Can we hang out more?" I can never forget how her face looked like while saying those words. Her eyebrows met at the middle, like this ㅅ. It was adorable. But what really caught me off-guard was when she touched my lips with hers.
Yes. She kissed me, and I couldn't think of things that could describe the feeling. It was so unexpected that I just froze there while she passed out again. Why did she kiss me?! And what does she mean by "totally her type"? Or does she mean hyung? Was she thinking that I'm hyung? That could be it...
These thoughts kept me awake the whole night. Jinsoul was still passed out, so I laid her properly on the sofa, and covered her with a blanket. I went to my room and laid on my bed. I couldn't remember, but I guess I eventually fell asleep.
I woke up next morning, and immediately thought that Jinsoul must have left already. So I got up from my bed and walked out from my room. To my surprise, Jinsoul was still there, and she was at my kitchen cooking. She noticed me, smiled, and greeted me.
"You're finally up. Good morning!" She greeted me with a pretty smile.
"What are you doing?" I asked her.
"What does it look like?" She answered me while holding up the frying laddle. I went close to the kitchen to check what she was cooknig. It was sunny-side-up eggs and bacon. She also made some toast too.
"Wow!" I was so impressed with the fact that she was so drunk last night that she passed out, and now she's cooking breakfast.
"Go sit by the counter, so we can eat." She told me.
So I sat by the counter as she told me. Then I remembered about last night. I was suddenly reminded of THAT incident last night. That KISS from last night. Does she remember? Does she know? Was she aware of what she said? Should I tell her? These thoughts came running to my mind.
"Sooyoung..." I heard a faint voice, "Sooyoung!!" It was Jinsoul's. I didn't notice that I was spacing out.
"Are you okay? Are you sick? Your face is turning red." She told me while touching my forehead to check my temperature and comparing it with hers.
"I'm okay. I'm okay. Sorry, I was just thinking about something." I told her looking a little worried of myself.
"Are you sure?" She worriedly asked me. She served me breakfast and we ate together.
"Oh, right! About last night..." Jinsoul said while I got anxious at the thought that she might have remembered everything.
"I would like to apologize..." She continued, "I got so drunk that you had to take me to your home. That's why when I woke up I immediately thought of repaying your kindness..."
"Ahhhh... So that's the reason you cooked breakfast for me?" I asked her.
"That's right." she replied.
It got awkwardly silent for a while, then she started talking again. My senses would jump everytime she would start talking.
"I really had fun last night" She said, "Thank you for inviting me. Oppa was really fun too, he must be the reason why I got so drunk."
"That's right, he's always like that whenever we drink." I said. Well, maybe he likes hyung and thought of him that's why she kissed me.
"So, are you two really not dating? Are you really not attracted to him?" She suddenly asked.
I almost spit out the toast I was eating, "No." I immediately asnwered her, " we're just that close, but I never liked him romantically."
"What about him to you?" she asked
"It's the same. We had it all cleared up even before. We're just like siblings." I smiled while answering her. Maybe she's into him. Well, that would be good since hyung likes her too.
"I guess it's safe..." She mumbled something that I couldn't understand so I asked her what it was, but she quickly said, "Ah nothing!"
Ahhh I get it. She likes hyung. It was so obvious...
After we ate, she went home and said she wanted to meet up after our class. So I just nodded. As she left home, I immediately called hyung.
*On the phone*
Sooyoung: "HYUNG!!" Hyung: "W-what? Why are yuo calling so early in the morning?" Sooyoung: "First of all, it's not early, hyung! You need to hear this. I know you have a crush on Jinsoul..." Hyung: "Gosh, was I that obvious? You think she noticed?" Sooyoung: "Yes, you were too obvious, and no, I don't know if she noticed. Anyway, stop interupting me, this is important. Free up your schedule later this afternoon, she asked me to hangout with her so I thought you should tag along..." Hyung: "OOHH!!! WAY TO GO YVES! You really care so much about your hyung's lovelife" Sooyoung: "SO? Are you coming with us?" Hyung: "YES OF COURSE!!" Sooyoung: "Okay, you know what to do, right?" Hyung: "Yes, yes, dress well, and not be late." Sooyoung: "Good"
I dropped the call and went to school after. We were always like this, me and hyung. No... I would rather say, I was always like this to him. Whenever there's a girl she likes, I immediately help him date that girl. But sometimes, it gets troublesome since some would just befriend him because the girl likes me. Awkward, right? I never had thoughts about dating, nor have I had a crush on someone. Not to brag but, I got a lot of confessions back in highschool, both boys and girls. More on girls. Maybe it was because of the dancing thing. But none of those confessions acually made me interested to dating.
After classes, I met up with Jinsoul.
"Hey!" I waved at her as I saw her approaching.
"Hey!" She waved back and smiled widely. I'm just so amazed by her beauty. Hyung will be so lucky...
"Hey Jinsoul... I also asked hyung if he wanted to hangout with us, you won't mind right?" I asked her.
"WHAT? Why would you do that?" I was surprised with how she responded.
"Why? Did I do something wrong?" I got worried that she might be mad. But why would she? Don't she like hyung?
She let out a big sigh, "Yeah it's okay, I won't mind..."
She looked disappointed, though.
We went to the movies, and met up with hyung. Hyung was there first, and already bought tickets for the three of us. We sat together with Jinsoul in the middle. The movie started. It was a horror movie, and I hate scary movies. I had to talk to hyung alone, and told him why he bought tickets for a horror movie before we went into the cinema. He knows I hate it. He just said, 'just close your eyes since you always do that' and laughed. I hate him. As the movie went on, I had to hide behind my bag, and close my eyes, but it can't be helped since I could still hear the movie.
I looked at Jinsoul and hyung. Hyung was laughing at me, while Jinsoul, she looked kinda irritated. Was it because of me? Should I leave?
In the middle of the movie, I suddenly felt warm in my hands. Jinsoul held my hand, and looked at me.
"Are you scared?" She whispered.
"Isn't it obvious?" I retaliated.
"Come here. Wear this." She put her hands on my ears and put in her airpods, RnB music was on. "Just close your eyes, and listen to this. It's a bad movie, it's not worth to be scared about."
She held my hand the whole duration of the movie, while I just closed my eyes, and sometimes would open them and have a glance at Jinsoul. She would notice it and smile to me. She would mouth some words. I'm not really sure what it was. She's so sweet. She's perfect for hyung. I smiled and closed my eyes again.
We went out of the cinema after the movie, and decided to eat. We went to the nearest restaurant, but I felt so awkward about being a third wheel. Hyung needs to be alone with her. I have to think of a way to get out of this place.
"You guys go on ahead, I forgot my phone in my car, I'll just go get it." I said as an excuse. I immediately left, and got inside my car.
I waited for about 10 minutes, and texted hyung. "Hyung, I'm going to leave you two, okay? Take care of her, okay? Just tell her I have a stomach ache."
Then, I sent a message for Jinsoul, so it won't be rude.
Tumblr media
I was curious about hyung. I texted him to ask how it went:
Tumblr media
I heard my doorbell ring. I wasn't expecting anyone. Who could it be at this hour? I went to the door, and looked at the monitor, it was JINSOUL?!
I opened the door, "Hey..." I smiled awkwardly, "What are you doing here? I thought you were going home?"
"I was, but I couldn't help but get worried about you. And you weren't responding to my texts. I kinda panicked." She smiled, "And here I brought this, ramyeon, I thought you haven't eaten anything yet."
We just froze there for a minute. I was surprised of her sudden appearance. It was totally unexpected.
"Ohh this so rude of me. I'm sorry, I really didn't expect this. Please come in." I invited her in, and I took the bag with the goods she brought, but she didn't hand it to me.
"No no... I'll take this. You should just sit down and rest. I also brought some medicine, I'm not sure what you need so I bought a variety." She told me while I just sat and stared at her. She took out the items from the bag.
"I-I don't really need medicine..." I was hesitant to tell her.
"Eh? But you said you're sick?" She asked worriedly.
"I mean, I already took some earlier, I'm kinda better now..." I assured her, though I felt kinda embarassed that I'm lying to her face.
"Hey, are you sure?" She checked up on me closely. Then we heard my stomach grumble. It was really embarassing. I wanted to hide myself.
She stood and, her mouth opened, then she laughed loudly. Her laugh was actually really strange and cute that I actually find it funny at the same time... I don't know really, I feel strange.
"See? Good thing I brought food! Just sit there, okay? I'll be preparing this real quick." She commanded me.
I just sat there, silent, while watching her rummage around my kitchen. I would sometimes tell her where to find things even before she asks.
"Your place is really cool, and you live here alone. How much do you even pay per month?" She asked while she was busy cooking the ramyeon.
"Hmm, it is kinda expensive, but I'd rather pay more to live better and comfortably. You know what I mean?" I told her.
"So it's clear that you come from  wealthy family." She said.
"Well... I won't deny that, but it doesn't really define me for who I am. What about you? Tell me more about you." I strongly said.
"You barely said anything about yourself though." She rolled her eyes and laughed, "Well, I'm just a normal girl, with normal dreams, like maybe after getting the degree, find a job, have my own house, buy my own things, just that. Just normal." She told me.
"Any hobbies?" I asked.
"I studied piano since I was little, and I can sing too." She answered confidently.
"Wow! Then you must be really good." I was amazed.
"Oh come on. It's just a hobby." She felt embarassed.
"No, seriously. I actually like your speaking voice. Hmm." I paused and grabbed my phone. I dialed a number and pressed call. Her phone rang. She looked at me confusedly before she answered it.
"What is this?" She talked to me through her phone.
"Ahhh, I was right. Your voice is really good. You could be a radio DJ or something you know." I told her. She felt flattered, and blushed.
"What are you doing? That was so sudden. You're making me feel shy." She told me shyly, then she noticed the pot smoking. She immediately turned the stove off, and panicked.
I stood up to help her. As she panicked, she attempted to pick up the pot with her barehands...
"OW!" She exclaimed. By instinct, I grabbed her hand, and blew onto it.
"What are you doing? You burnt your finger." I immediately, pulled her hand to the sink and ran cold water onto it. She just stared at me, blankly.
"It's your fault." She said with a blank expression.
I was confused of what she said. Then her face slowly came close to mine. I didn't know what was about to happen. I never saw this coming. She kissed me. I just stood there. Shocked. Unable to move, still holding her hand under the water. It's as if I fell from her spell. I slowly closed my eyes, and continued with our lips interlocked with each other.
I began to get to my senses back, and pulled away from her.
"W-what was that... what..." I was distraught, and I walked away.
"I'm sorry." Jinsoul softly whispered.
"It's okay, I guess it happens sometimes, it doesn't have to mean anything, right?" I mumbled on myself. I bit my nail, and I was so confused on what to do, on what to think, WHAT THE HECK JUST HAPPENED?!
We got silent for a while after that. She still continued to serve the ramyeon since it didn't go bad. We ate together, silently. None of us ever said a word after. After we ate, she rested a little while I washed the dishes. She was busy looking at her phone.
"It's late... I guess... I should go now." She slowly said.
"S-sure, yeah." I responded.
"I'll see you tomorrow." She smiled at me and headed to the door, and left.

Comfort
"Sooyoung!" Jinsoul cried out as Sooyoung appeared in front of her. She was waiting in front of Sooyoung's front door while Sooyoung came home after hanging out with Jiwoo at the arcade. The sun has just set.
Sooyoung was startled that Jinsoul was there. Jinsoul ran towards Sooyoung and wrapped her arms around her. "What are you doing?" Sooyoung asked and tried to get off Jinsoul's grip.
"I just wanted to see you." Jinsoul replied.
Sooyoung sighed, and decided not to resist, "Why? Haven't we agreed to stop this?"
"But I missed you... I just miss my friend so much." Jinsoul gently said and glanced at Sooyoung's serious face.
"Whatever." Sooyoung walked out of Jinsoul's grip and opened her door while Jinsoul frowned. Sooyoung glanced at Jinsoul coldly, "Aren't you coming in?"
Jinsoul's face lit up instantly as she heard those words from Sooyoung. She hurriedly went inside Sooyoung's apartment.
"Have you had dinner?" Sooyoung asked while Jinsoul removed her coat and hanged it.
"Not yet." Jinsoul replied naturally, comfortably.
"Ramyeon?" Sooyoung rummaged around her kitchen.
"Sounds good." Jinsoul sat at the kitchen counter and scrolled on her phone while Sooyoung was preparing to cook.
"How's work?" Sooyoung casually asked while she continued cooking.
Jinsoul        : Usual. I'm quite bored about it, I'm thinking of a new content. Sooyoung   : Need help with that? Jinsoul        : Maybe? An idea would save me a lot of stress. Sooyoung   : I can't really think about anything, though Jinsoul        : Anythiiing~ I just need something new. Sooyoung   : Then how about singing some songs on air? Jinsoul        : Me? Sing? Sooyoung   : Yeah, why not? You have a very good voice, plus you studied playing piano for years.
Jinsoul felt shy hearing the sudden compliment from Sooyoung. She flustered.
Sooyoung finished cooking the ramyeon and served the pot on the counter. Jinsoul naturally stood up to get some bowl and chopsticks. Everything was natural, and felt comfortable between the two. Like two people who have known each other very well for a long time. Nothing awkward at all.
"Singing, huh?" Jinsoul gave it a thought while they both ate the ramyeon. "I guess, I'll give that a try."
"Maybe you can ask other students to sing too. That would be interesting." Sooyoung pitched in the idea.
"Right! That I'll do! Definitely!" Jinsoul strongly agreed pointing the chopsticks at Sooyoung. "And you'll be my first guest!" Jinsoul teased.
"What?!" Sooyoung objects. "No way!"
Both of them continued to eat and after finishing their food, they cleaned up. Sooyoung washed the dishes and Jinsoul suddenly wrapped her arms around Sooyoung's waist.
"Stop it." Sooyoung coldly said.
"Come on, just for a minute." Jinsoul whispered while she leaned her head on Sooyoung's shoulders. Sooyoung stayed silent.
Jinsoul        : That girl, Jiwoo? Sooyoung   : What about her? Jinsoul        : You really like her? Sooyoung   : I guess so... Jinsoul        : Isn't she dating that other girl? Sooyoung   : She told me they weren't. Although, judging at how she looks at her, I guess Jiwoo likes her too. Jinsoul        : And you still want to pursue her? Sooyoung   : I'm not really thinking about that. I just want to be friends with her. Get to know her better. Get her to know me as well. Jinsoul        : Well... If things go your way, I hope you won't hurt her. Don't hurt her.
Jinsoul tightened her hug. Sooyoung paused, "What are you talking about?"
"Nothing." Jinsoul sighed, "I'm just telling you that if you hurt her, then I won't have a choice but to take you back."
"As if I'd let you." Sooyoung scoffed.

[Chuu's POV]
"She's crazy!
Kim Jungeun is CRAZY!"
That was my first thought after she kissed me last night. Everything flashed back as I woke up this morning.
Thoughts about her kissing me. Telling me it will be hard for her if I'd stop "dating" her.
I hate her, but somehow it felt melting. No! Jiwoo, stop it. Stop thinking that it was hot. Damn! I won't forgive her. After all, she took my FIRST KISS! *cries*
"Mmmmnn... Jiwooing? Are you crying?" Yerim heard me sobbing.
"Yerim-ah, I'm so confused" I bawled in front of her. She immediately stood up and hugged me.
"Omo! Why are you crying?" Yerim asked me while carressing my head.
"Jungeun..." I hesitated at first, "She took my first kiss!"
Yerim was shocked, but at the same time laughed. I understand crying over it is  crazy.
"What?! REALLY?!" Yerim got so excited, "but why are you crying? Don't you like her?"
"That's why I'm confused. I like her and I hate her at the same time. What should I do?" I told Yerim. She was silent, and just sighed. She let out that "Aigoo..." and continued to comfort me.
I went to class. The same class with Jungeun. I immediately saw Vivi unnie as I entered the classroom, so I sat next to her hurriedly. Jungeun wasn't around yet. Vivi unnie noticed that I was looking around so much.
"She's not here yet." Vivi unnie told me.
"E-eh?" I smiled faintly, pretending not to know what she was talking about, "What are you talking about unnie?"
"Jungeun is not here yet. You were looking for her, right?" Vivi said.
"Ehhh? No, I'm not!" I strongly denied. I guess I was too obvious.
"Oh here she comes." Unnie told me.
Jungeun came to class. As usual, she looked so good. She brushed hair her back with her hand, and bit her lip. IT WAS CRAZY! I can't be thinking this way! JUNGEUN STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING! I HATE YOU SO MUCH. *Cries in her mind*
She sat on the seat in front of me. And OH!MY!GOD! She smelled so good! She leaned on her chair, looked towards me, her brow raised a bit.
"Good morning Kim Jiwoo!" She greeted. She smiled at Vivi unnie as well.
I couldn't move. I couldn't say anything, but I was able to ignore her. Please Jiwoo, control yourself.
The class started and ended like usual. I couldn't stop myself from looking at her back. Vivi unnie would even notice and tease me, saying I might get dry eyes because I haven't been blinking since I started looking at her. I went out from that class, and hurriedly walked to my next class.
I lost sight of her. I finally lost sight of Jungeun. After my class schedule that day. I went to work. Sooyoung unniw wasn't there yet. I was in the locker room. I guess I was so early.
"Hey Jiwoo."  I turned, and it was Sooyoung sunbae... or unnie. It still feels awkward being casual to her, though I don't know why I find it hard to be close to her.
"Hi!" I greeted her back, and we both smiled.
"How are you? Are you feeling better?" She asked. I almost laughed at the thought. If only you knew what happened that night after you sent me home unnie. It got worse, and here I am. Of course, I can't just tell her that... or maybe I can?
"Uhm, Sooyoung unnie." I wanted to back down, but I guess I can talk to her a bit about it.
"Yes?" She answered while she was getting ready, taking off her jacket and putting the uniform on.
"How do you know you're falling in-love with a particular person?" i blurted out. Sooyoung unnie coughed as she heard my question. I guess she wasn't expecting that. I mean, the answer should be obvious, but I just wanted to hear it from someone else.
"Sorry" she coughed and breathed deep after. "Falling in-love, huh? Well, not everyone is the same, but for me that feeling of longing for that person. Wanting to see that person as soon as you wake up, and wanting to hold that person. Just the thought of that person that makes your heart beat faster. I guess that's it." Unnie was smiling while she was explaining to me. She must have felt this way before... with Jinsoul sunbaenim... maybe.
"Why? Is there someone on your mind?" She suddenly asked.
"N-no! I was just asking out of curiosity." I tried to act cool.
"Whoever that is, that person sure is lucky?" She teased.
"Nooo. Unnie it's not me." I denied.
Our shift went on and ended normally. When I went out, Jungeun was already outside waiting for me, leaning in a cool way. I was surprised, I didn't look at her and immediately walked away. I wasn't even able to say goodbye to Sooyoung unnie.
"Yah! Kim Jiwoo!" Jungeun called for my name several times and followed me. Then she finally caught up with me. She stood in front of me. I tried to move away but she would follow my direction and block my way. She held both of my shoulders and put me still.
"What are you doing?" I asked. I couldn't even look at her.
"You weren't answering your phone, and you weren't responding to my messages. So I came here to see you." She explained, looking directly to me. I wasn't looking at her, but I could feel her gaze towards me.
"I didn't know. I was busy." I told her. She released me from her grip and I started walking past her. She grabbed my hand, pulled me in, and embraced me.
"I'm sorry." She whispered.
I couldn't say anything. I could only smell her. She smelled so good. I really don't know what to tell her. I hate her, but at the same time she makes my heart flutter everytime she does something like this.
"Sorry I made you feel uncomfortable. But what I said that night, I really meant it" She said in a calm gentle voice.
I don't know what I was feeling, I didn't notice that I was sobbing. She wiped my tears with her thumb. She held my face and looked at me straight to my eyes.
"Look at me." She demanded, "I like you. I really mean it."
"Then you shouldn't have done that!" I yelled, and calmed myself while wiping my face, "I hate you. I hate how you make me feel."
"That's why I'm sorry." She looked concerned and pouty.
"Fine." I started walking again, and noticed she wasn't following me. "Aren't you gonna take me home?"
She hurriedly caught up with me, and sent me home. As we reached home, I told her about my thoughts.
"This doesn't mean that I forgive you." I told her.
"I know, I know." She smirked, and she pinched my cheek. "Guess, I'll go."
She turned around and, started walking. I yelled her name, "Yah! KIM JUNGEUN!"
She stopped and turned, "What?"
"Call me when you get home." I don't know why I said that. All I thought was, she was going home alone.
She nodded and continued walking. I waited until she was out of my sight, then I went inside the apartment.
Hyunjin and Yerim greeted me when I went inside our apartment.
"Let's order some chicken, my treat!" I told them.
"Woah woah! All of a sudden? Did something good happen?" Yerim teased, "Is it Jungeun?"
"What? It's nothing." I denied, "I just feel good right now."
"It's definitely Jungeun." Hyunjin said, I felt shy and flustered. Was I too obvious? I guess I was.
"Something probably happened on her way home. She's working in a chicken place, and now we have to order chicken." Yerim analyzed, "It's definitely Jungeun."
"Call me when you get home!" Hyunjin tried to imitate me. Apparently, these has been listening this whole time.
"Stop or I won't buy you chicken!" I threatened them.
They obeyed me, and jokingly treated me like VIP. We ordered chicken. Hyejoo came home from work as well. I frequently checked my phone. I was waiting for Jungeun to call me. Then my phone rang.
I immediately picked it up. It was Jungeun.
Jiwoo : Hello? Jungeun : Yeah, hello. I'm home. You said to call so I did. *She chuckled*
Yerim heard me, and teased me again. I continued to talk to Jungeun asking her if she has eaten already, and telling her to eat. I also told her that we ordered chicken. And as our conversation was about to end she asked if we could see each other tomorrow. She asked me if we could go to shool together, and I said yes, of course. Who wouldn't want to walk together with their crush?
The chicken arrived, and I had to end the call. She sent me a message to eat well. I said you should eat too.
My housemates and I started eating. I don't know why I felt so light that night. I was laughing so much, that my housemates would notice that I was so different. Perhaps, this is how it feels to fall in love?
"Have I told you that we have a new employee?" Hyejoo started a topic.
"Woooooh Hyejoo sunbaenim!" Yerim teased.
Hyejoo rolled her eyes, "You know, she can't even do the simplest task! She is a complete princess! Ugh!"
We all listened to her complain.
Hyejoo    : I had to follow her wherever she goes, because she might break things in the store. Hyunjin   : Boss Hyejoo is having a hard time Jiwoo      : Just leave her though, if she breaks something she'll be the one to pay for it and your manager might fire her. Hyejoo    : That's the thing. What pisses me is that our store manager told me that if she does something wrong it will be my responsibility.
Hyejoo sighed, and we cheered her up. The conversation kept going as we ate. After eating, we wrapped up and went to bed.
I exchanged a few messages with Jungeun.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I actually lied about the few messages... We ended up sleeping at dawn. We met up at the intersection where I first saw her. We laughed at each other's faces since we didn't have enough sleep.
As we crossed the street, she held my hand. I know I've held her hand before, but it felt different now that I'm getting comfortable with her. I actually wanted more. It felt like wanting to wrap my arms around her. Is this love?!
The day went by, we went to each of our classes and met up after. She walked with me to my part-time job. She held my hand while we were walking. Yeah, I know, it was so sweet! As we reached the place, Sooyoung was standing outside the restaurant's back door.
"Oh! Sooyoung unnie!" I called upon her with a wide smile. She didn't look like she was on the mood. Although she smiled at me, it felt like it was cold. It wasn't her usual smile. Could there be something bothering her? I asked myself.
After we greeted each other, Sooyoung went ahead inside the restaurant to prepare for our shift, while I was still with Jungeun.
"You don't have to wait for me. Okay?" I told her, suggesting that she should go home since I know she would insist in picking me up and send me home after my shift.
"Eh? Then I'll just come back later to pick you up." She said. I was right. I thought she would say that.
"No no. I'm fine. I don't want to be such a burden to you." I told her.
"But I really want to walk you home, plus I'd be missing you so much if I wait for tomorrow to see you again." Jungeun said. Ugh! Why is she being so cheesy. We kept on with this conversation insisting on each other. Then we heard a loud bang. It was the sound of boxes that dropped at the restaurants back door.
"Oh, SORRY, it slipped from my hand." Sooyoung apologized for the sudden interuption. Maybe there is something bothering her. She's not that type to make such mistake.
"Ah! Unnie!!" I felt the urgency to help her. I guess I was slacking of from work. "I should get changed too."
I hurriedly said goodbye to Jungeun, "Jungeun-ah byebye, I'll see you tomorrow, okay? Go home!" And ran off after I gave her a kiss on her cheeks.

"JIWOO-YAH!" Yerim hurriedly ran to Chuu's bed to wake her up. "YAH! KIM JIWOO! WAKE UP!"
Jiwoo moaned while her eyes are still closed.
"Jiwoo! Wake up! Someone came to see you!" Yerim told Jiwoo who was half-awake. Yerim leaned close to her ear and whispered, "Jungeun is here."
Jiwoo was confused at first and realized what Yerim said. Her eyes widened. Suddenly she's a awake. She sat up, and gasped, "Why is she here? What is she doing here?"
Yerim gave her a teasing gaze, "Are you sure she's just pretending to be in love with you?"
Jiwoo got up from her bed and peeked through her door from her room. She saw Jungeun sitting on a chair, waiting patiently. Jungeun glanced to Jiwoo's room and saw Jiwoo. She smiled. Jiwoo immediately closed the door and leaned against it, "I'm done. She's gonna see my dirty bareface. I need to wash my face, but I can’t just walk out there when she’s sitting in our common area."
"Oh come on, you don't look that bad. Here, you just need a little touch up." Yerim told her while smiling teasingly. Jiwoo panicked even more, and tried to clean her face in the mirror, planning to put make-up on when suddenly, someone knocked.
"Jiwoo..." Jungeun's voice gently called Jiwoo. She grabbed the doorknob and realized it wasn't locked, so she opened it. The door opened, and she saw Jiwoo standing in front of the mirror, while Yerim was sitting on her bed.
Jiwoo glanced towards Jungeun with her face half-done. Their eyes met, and Jiwoo was surprised. Jungeun realized her half-done make-up. She covered her mouth and tried to keep her laughter. Jiwoo hurriedly ran while saying, "I'm sorry!" She pushed Jungeun out, and closed the door.
Jungeun laughed loudly after what happened.
Jiwoo: DON'T LAUGH! *She shouts" Jungeun: You know, you can wear your bareface and I won't mind at all. *She smirks* Jiwoo: No way! That's unfair! You're wearing make up and you look so good today... Jungeun: A sudden compliment?
Hyunjin came out of her  room, "What's all the noise about?" she said while stretching.
Jungeun saw her, they both greeted each other with a bow and an awkward hello. Hyunjin looked into their table and saw what Jungeun brought that morning. "OH! BREAD!" Hyunjin hurriedly went close to the table.
"Uh, yeah." Jungeun talked to Hyunjin, "I brought it, please go ahead and have some."
"Ooooooh!" Hyunjin grabbed a bread, and ate it. She gave Jungeun a thumbs up, "Pass!"
Jungeun was baffled with Hyunjin's reaction. Hyejoo also came out of their room, but before she could speak Hyunjin fed her with the bread. She chewed it anyway and naturally smiled to Jungeun and greeted her as well. This was the first time they properly met.
A little later, Jiwoo finally came out of her room. Jungeun and Jiwoo sat at the dining area. They were alone.
Jiwoo: So, why are you here? *Strongly gazing towards Jungeun* Jungeun: I came to visit you. Jiwoo: Oh come on, just tell me what you need. Jungeun: Well... Jiwoo: ... Jungeun: I came here... because I miss you.
Jungeun smiled shyly with a cute expression. Jiwoo was stunned and was in disbelief.
"What are you doing?" Jiwoo yelled, her face flushed, "Come on, be serious."
"But I'm serious." Jungeun replied, "I really want to spend time with you."
Jiwoo was speechless, and couldn't react. She was completely flushed, and felt awkwardly shy. Jungeun's phone rang and answered it.
Jungeun on her phone: Hello?....I'm with my girlfriend...what do you want?...Ah yeah yeah, sure I'll be there.
She dropped the call, and glanced at Jiwoo who was feeling shy, "My friends wants to have lunch together. I'm taking you with me."
"What?" Jiwoo was shocked, "No, I can't. Why would I go with you?"
"Because, I need you to be my girlfriend this time." Jungeun gave her a strong gaze. "You should get ready now."
Jiwoo couldn't refuse, and started to get ready. “Ugh, I hate her, why is she doing this to me? Why do I have to do what she tells me to?” Jiwoo complained, but continued to get ready anyway.
“Jiwoo-ya, why are you letting her boss around you?” She talked to herself in front of the mirror, “That’s it! This will be the last time, I’ll tell her I quit after today. Hang in there Kim Jiwoo.” She gave herself a pat in the back.
As she was done, they both left home and went to a restaurant. Heejin was there. She was with Haseul. They greeted each other before they sat down. Jiwoo could feel the awkwardness between Haseul and Jungeun. They did not speak to each other directly and usually both would just speak through Heejin. They ordered food, and as the food came, they started eating.
Jungeun was being extra to Jiwoo that time. She would put food on Jiwoo’s plate and tell her to eat up. Haseul got irritated with the situation, and banged the table intentionally with her hand.
"Sorry, my hand kind of slipped." Haseul apologized. All of them looked at her and she avoided their gazes.
"So... Jungeun, I didn't know you would start dating." Haseul initiated the conversation.
"I don't see anything wrong with that." Jungeun coldly replied. This was the first time they spoke directly that day. Heejin and Jiwoo felt the tension between them and started to give awkward smiles.
"Yeah, I guess so." Haseul continued, "The last time I saw you, you left the bar with someone named Jinsoul."
Jiwoo recognized the name mentioned and was shook. Heejin then interfered with the conversation.
"Unnie, let's not talk about that. They're just acquaintances." Heejin smiled awkwardly.
"What is going on? Wait a minute, I don't want to be involved in this situation, I better get out of here fast." Jiwoo could not keep up with the tension anymore so she decided to excuse herself from the table and went to the restroom. When she left the conversation still continued.
Haseul: Tell me the truth, are you really dating her? Jungeun: Yes, you got a problem with that? Heejin: Hey guys... calm down? Haseul: I see, so you're finally letting go of me? Jungeun: Didn't you tell me to forget about you and move on? Haseul: Ahhh, so you won't even stop me from leaving? Right, it was never real, right? Heejin: Wait a minute, you two were in a relationship? *both answered at the same time* Jungeun: No, not exactly. Haseul: Yes, we were. Heejin: What?
Heejin was confused. She was in disbelief and felt betrayed. Nobody ever told her despite how close they were. She walked out and left them. The two continued to argue.
Jungeun: See what you just did? Haseul: What did I do? *gives a cold stare* Jungeun: Jo Haseul, stop it. Just stop. You were the one who repeatedly told me that I should get over you.
Jungeun couldn't keep her tears, "Damn it, Haseul! You were gone for two years, and you've pushed me away repeatedly. Now that I'm finally over it. Now that I can finally confirm that I don't feel anything for you, and here you are wanting to pull me again towards you. I don't want you anymore. You've hurt me, I'm not letting you hurt me again."
Haseul teared up, "I know what I did was wrong.” She held Jungeun’s hand, “I know I've told you repeatedly that I'm over you. I even started dating guys. I know that, but when I saw you again, I couldn't stop myself, I still have feelings for you."
Haseul continued to cry, “I’m sorry that I couldn’t fight for you. Back then, I was so selfish and never thought about your feelings. I decided to let go of you, because it felt wrong that I’ve fallen in love with someone I treated as a younger sister. It felt so wrong back then, and I failed to realize that those feelings of mine were true...”
While this argument was going on, Jiwoo in the restroom was waiting for the right timing so she could leave. Unexpectedly, someone grabbed her hand and pulled her. The person put her arms around Jiwoo, and covered her face. They left this way hoping Jungeun wouldn't notice them leave. They got out successfully.
"Thank goodness!" The person said, Jiwoo glanced to the person's face. It was Ha Sooyoung.
Jiwoo gasped, she never expected Sooyoung to be in that place as well. "Unnie! What are you doing here?"
"Unnie?" Sooyoung smirked, "Didn't I tell you to stop addressing me that way?"
"Sorry..." Jiwoo apologized.
"Anyway, I just happen to be here as well, and witnessed them arguing." Sooyoung explained, "I thought you wanted to get out of that situation so I came to save you."
"You really did save me!" Jiwoo began to tear up.
"W-w-what's wrong? What did I do?" Sooyoung panicked and thought she did something wrong.
"No... I'm really thankful because I didn't know what to do earlier." Jiwoo explained, "the tension was really hard to deal with."
"I understand." Sooyoung pats Jiwoo's head, and grabbed her hand. "Let's go. I’ll do my best to cheer you up."
Jiwoo felt a thump in her heart hearing these words from Sooyoung. She followed Sooyoung, while thinking how she was always so nice to her.
They went to an arcade, and played some games. Sooyoung even got a stuffed penguin for Jiwoo from the toy crane. Jiwoo had so much fun, she was smiling and laughing the whole time. She completely forgot about Jungeun. While Sooyoung, couldn't stop herself from looking at her gummy smile, and her cheery eyes. After the games, Sooyoung walked Jiwoo home.
"Sunbae..." Jiwoo stopped herself, "I mean unnie..."
Sooyoung glared at her, "Sooyoungie! Sooyoungie! Just call me that, okay?"
Jiwoo nervously nodded, "S-sooyoung..ie..." she awkwardly called on her, "You don't have to walk me home really"
Sooyoung: But I want to. Jiwoo: Why though? Why are you always so kind to me? Sooyoung: I just want to, I don't think there is something wrong with that... is there? Jiwoo: NO no no! *she gestured with her hand* It's just that, I feel like I'm not treating you better. I also want to be kind to you. Sooyoung: Oh stop, you don't really have to. Besides, I'll be in great danger if ever that happens. Jiwoo: Danger? What do you mean?
"My heart will be in danger." Sooyoung stopped walking and was behind Jiwoo. She felt her heart skipping a beat, her face flushed, and gently said "Because I think I'm beginning to have feelings for you."
"We're here!" Jiwoo shouted and smiled at Sooyoung, "I'm home."
"I guess she didn't hear me..." Sooyoung disappointedly thought. She gave her a smile and waved at her, "I'll get going now." She immediately turned her back from Jiwoo.
"Sooyoungie!" Jiwoo yelled, and ran towards Sooyoung. She gave her a hug from Sooyoung's back. "Thank you for today! You really made me feel better."
Sooyoung was surprised, and couldn't move. She felt her heart beating stronger than ever, like it was  about to explode. She felt Jiwoo's tight hug. She couldn't say any word. Then slowly, Jiwoo's grip began to fade, and Jiwoo hurriedly went inside their apartment.
---
Inside Jiwoo's Apartment
"You're home..." A cold voice said as Jiwoo entered the house.
"Yah! Jungeun?!" Jiwoo was surprised, and dropped the stuffed toy she got from Sooyoung. She was the only person in the apartment, "What are you doing here? How did you get in?"
"Yerim let me in, then she left and told me to wait for you here." Jungeun explained, "But that's not what's important right now. Where were you ealier? Why did you leave me?"
Jungeun glared at her, and slowly approaching Jiwoo, "You left me, and made me look like an idiot in front of Haseul."
"Sorry..." Jiwoo felt scared and couldn't look at her, "I can't do this anymore..."
"What?" Jungeun couldn't believe what she heard.
"I don't want to play pretend anymore. Let's stop this." Jiwoo strongly voiced out, and looked straight at her, "I don't want to be involved in whatever you're going through. Honestly, it's none of my business, and I don't want to be a part of your gimmick."
"A gimmick?!" Jungeun approached her even closer, "What did you just say?"
"Just stop." Jiwoo walked away, but Jungeun held her hand and stopped her.
"You can't just quit." Jungeun said, "It won't be that easy..."
Jiwoo felt annoyed with Jungeun's persistence. She turned towards her and yelled, "What? What is not easy? Just stop okay? Let's continue our lives like this never happened!"
Jungeun grabbed both Jiwoo's wrist and pushed her against the wall, "What I'm saying is..."
Jungeun slowly moved her face closer to Jiwoo's face. Jiwoo was stunned by this, and was so confused that she couldn't move. Jiwoo closed her eyes.
Jungeun continued to move closer and felt each other's breath. Jungeun closed her eyes as she moves further towards her face. Her lips touched Jiwoo's lips. She kissed her.

4 - Drunk
"See you again next time for another episode of 'Campus Heartaches'. Annyeong!" Jinsoul cheery voice closed that afternoon's radio. She turned off her mic and put down her headphones. She was alone at the radio booth as usual. After all, it was just a university radio booth.
"Campus Heartaches my ass. I'm here making these people feel better, while I can't even help myself. Tsk! Why not change the title to 'How Your DJ Lied To You'! Ugh!" She complained while she cleaned up her script, and turned off all the equipment. Just by this, you can say that she was technically familiar around the booth.
She deeply sighed when she got out of the booth. She looked at her phone to check for messages, as if waiting for someone to text her, she sighed again. She checked the time, "I still have to go to class."
"Jinsoul unnie!" a tiny voice called while approaching her.
"Ooh! Park Chaewon!" Jinsoul smiled and waved her hand, "What are you doing here?"
"I was going to class when I saw you come out of the booth." Chaewon answered, "How are you unnie? Do you still hangout with Sooyoung unnie?"
"Eh?" Jinsoul got silent for a while, "I barely see her now."
"Ehhh?!" Chaewon was surprised and covered her mouth with her hand, "Why?"
"She stopped seeing me." Jinsoul said with a sad expression.
"Unnie, I'm sorry, I didn't know." Chaewon apologized "If you want we can skip classes and talk about it..."
"Nah... I'm fine Chaewon." Jinsoul assured her, "After all we were just friends. It shouldn't be that sad, right?" She smiled faintly.
Both of them went to each of their classes. As the day ended, Jinsoul still felt sad, barely giving out energy to whatever she's doing. On-air she would be energetic with a positive calm vibe, but off-air she would lose all of that vibe. She checks her phone again for messages, but there was none.
She decides to hangout in a pub where she usually goes. She wasn't really fond of drinking before, but after her heart break, it felt like the only thing that could comfort her.
"Oh! Jinsoul!" the bartender immediately recognized her, "What are you having today?"
"You know, a glass of beer." Jinsoul replied as she sat down on the tall chair. She checks her phone again, but still, no messages came. Instead, she received an email about tomorrow's radio.
After a while she started getting Jägerbombs to drink. She got tipsy after a few shots, and was laughing with the bartender. The bartender puts up with her, he knew her story, and felt bad for her.
"That one time, I got so busy with school work and DJ stuff that I forgot to eat dinner. I told her about it since she asked, and she went to my apartment just to bring me food to eat. She didn't leave me until I finished eating." Jinsoul reminisced while looking at her glass, "I just want those memories again. Just when I have finally found someone I could love, and life slaps me in the face and tells me 'this isn't for you, hun!'." Jinsoul started to get teary, she wiped her tears and calmed herself. She began drinking again.
She grabbed her phone. At first she would struggle holding it, she was already drunk. "Ha Sooyoung!" She yells in a drunk tone, "Why aren't you calling me?"
"Jinsoul-ssi calm down..." the bartender was concerned.
Jinsoul calmed down. She started typing on her phone.
“Ha Sooyoung-ssi...” Jinsoul recites as she types. There were typos all over, she continued, “Sooyoungie~ Pick me up, I'm so drunk, I don't know if I could still go home.” She sent it, smiled and stared at her phone.
She wanted to order for more drinks, but the bartender stopped her. Jinsoul rested her head on the bar. She was still staring at her phone, waiting for it to light up. She eventually passed out. Then someone grabbed her from behind, held her, and stood her up. The bartender was surprised, it was Sooyoung.
"Shh!" She gestured with her hand, "If she asks how she got home, tell her it was you." She then handed money to pay for Jinsoul and gave a tip to the bartender for her favor. The bartender nodded.
They walked out of the pub, arms around Jinsoul, and guided her to Sooyoung's car. She settled her on the passenger's seat, and buckled the seat belt for her. She went around the car to finally drive their way to Jinsoul's apartment.
"Sooyoungie~" Jinsoul whispered, "I'm sorry if I'm giving you a hard time."
"Right." Sooyoung continued to drive giving out a sigh, "I know you won't remember this tomorrow, but please stop getting drunk. I'm getting worried."
Jinsoul was silent, it seemed like she passed out again.
"Jinsoul, I'm having a hard time too." Sooyoung talked to herself and got teary, "I'm sorry that I couldn't choose you. I'm sorry for making you feel all that. I'm sorry for leaving you." She started to cry and had to stop the car, she slapped the steering wheel. She was so upset.
She calmed herself, and started driving again until they arrived Jinsoul's place. Jinsoul was still passed out so she had to carry Jinsoul on her back. They went inside, and to her room, "Aigoo." She laid her to her bed, removed her jacket and her shoes, and tucked her with the blanket.
"Please take care of yourself, it hurts me more when I see you like this." She caressed her head and gave her a kiss on her forehead.
She then stood up, and left the room. She slowly walked out of the apartment and left.
Jinsoul heard the door close. Her eyes began to well up. She was awake the whole time. "Coward." She cried hard, "How can you not tell me that when I'm sober and fully aware. Why do I have to pretend that I'm passed out just to hear those words? I hate you."
She slept and woke up at noon. She got used to the hangover. She got up, and took a shower. "Another day to put up this fake positive vibe on a radio." She looked at herself in the mirror, and tried to smile. "I'll get over this." She told herself.
She left her apartment, and went to a café to get coffee. She left the café holding her coffee. She didn't notice the person walking towards her direction and bumped into her. She spilled a bit of coffee on that person's plaid shirt.
"I'm sorry. Are you okay?" She apologized and tried to wipe the spill with a tissue.
"I'm fine. It didn't get to my skin." It was Kim Jungeun, she didn't know her that time yet. "Thanks anyway, you gave me a reason to skip class today."
"Yah! That's not an excuse." Jinsoul's forehead frowned, while Jungeun just smiled at her and left.
"Tsk, These freshies..." She uttered.
She went on her way to the booth, and prepared for the show. She went on the show, read messages and concerns from students, and gave out advises. Indeed, it was another day to pretend she's okay.
"Since highschool our physics teacher would always teach us about Newton's Third Law: 'For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.'. This came into my mind just thinking about you..." She continued reading the submission to which she gave an advice after with her calm soothing voice. After which she says her goodbyes again, and left the booth after she cleaned up.
She smirked, "I gave out an advice that I couldn't apply to myself again." She went home, and thought she'd finally stop drinking. But as soon as she got home, she got reminded of what Sooyoung said last night. She tried lying down on her bed to sleep, but couldn't. She kept looking at her phone. Her mind battling whether she should call her, or text her. She saw her messages to Sooyoung, and how she never got a reply.
She got up and decided to go to the pub again. She came in, and ordered the usual again. She talked to the bartender as usual. Then someone sat beside her in the bar, and ordered a glass of beer.
"Ahh she's giving that cold expression." She glanced at the person, and looked away, "Gosh! I wish I have what you're having now." Referring to how her cold expression made her beer cold too.
It was the night she met Jungeun, she noticed she was having a problem with her friends. As a sunbae, she wanted to be reliable, but Jungeun just ignored her.
That night, she kept talking while Jungeun would just listen to her. The bartender would join them and make Jinsoul laugh like the usual. Jungeun would smile too, but still with a cold experssion. As they got drunk Jinsoul stood up and pulled Jungeun, they went to a club, and danced into the crowd. While this happened, their intoxicated self brought them to kiss each other, and they left the club.
"I don't want to go home yet." Jungeun told her.
"You can come to my place." Jinsoul even though drunk was still aware of everything and got home with Jungeun. Jungeun started kissing Jinsoul. Jinsoul kissed her back. They went to the room and got naked, but as soon as this happened, Jungeun passed out. Jinsoul smirked and slept as well.
The next day she woke up. Jungeun already left. "Ah she left."
She got dressed and sat on the bed. She thought about what happened last night. She never thought she'd enjoy someone else's company that night. She looked at her phone, and was surprised to receive a message from Sooyoung. These were messages from last night that she was not able to read.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Reading Sooyoung's reply upset her again. She tried to call, but it would only get dropped.
That night she decided to drink again. And that was the night she met Chuu, Sooyoung, Jungeun. That night Chuu got drunk and was snatched away by a person who only identified herself as her housemate. Sooyoung tried to chase Chuu, but Jinsoul grabbed her hand.
"Let's talk." Jinsoul said in a serious face.
"Tsk!" Sooyoung pulled her hand from Jinsoul's grip.
"Please! Sooyoung!" Jinsoul cried, "Why are you doing this to me? How could you change so easily? It wasn't that long ago when you used to be so sweet to me. Why? Why did you suddenly leave me?" Jinsoul was so upset yelling at Sooyoung. This time Jungeun started walking away.
"Stop it!" Sooyoung yelled too. She pulled her hand and led her to her car which was parked near the place where Sooyoung worked with Chuu. "I'll drive you home, let's go."
Jinsoul was still sobbing while Sooyoung drove their way to Jinsoul's apartment. They didn't talk for a while, but Jinsoul couldn't bear it.
"Stop! I'll walk from here." Jinsoul said
"You're not, I'm taking you home." Sooyoung insisted.
"Just stop being so kind to me!" Jinsoul yelled, "Just keep doing what you're doing when I'm sober!" Jinsoul cried.
Sooyoung ignored her and continued to drive. They arrived at her home and Jinsoul immediately got off the car. Sooyoung chased her to her door and helped her as Jinsoul would stagger.
As they were able to enter the apartment, Jinsoul pushed Sooyoung, "Stop it! Just stop it!" She kept telling her.
"No, you stop it." Sooyoung said and hugged her.  "I'm sorry." She softly uttered. Jinsoul cried even more.
Jinsoul pulled herself out of Sooyoung's embrace, and sat herself on her sofa, Sooyoung sat beside her.
"I know you've been taking me home whenever I get drunk. I know what you've been telling me every time." Jinsoul confessed, "That's why I'm telling you to stop. If you want me to forget about you, just stop being kind to me."
"Then stop being drunk every night." Sooyoung replied, "Stop calling me and texting me to come and get you because you're too drunk. I would never be able to stand it seeing you like this. I get worried about you every time."
"Why?" Jinsoul desperately asked "Why can't you just love me? Why can't we have this relationship?"
"It's too complicated. I can't tell you the reason." Sooyoung looked away.
"Is it because of that guy?!" Jinsoul shouted, "I'm telling you, forget about him, you don't owe him anything!"
"Please. Stop. You don't know what you're saying." Sooyoung said "Let's just end this, okay? I love you as my friend, and I don't want to betray him. Maybe I misunderstood these feelings, maybe I'm just concerned about you as a friend."
"Stop telling me that again, I already have that memorized. You don't have to remind me." Jinsoul said coldly. She took a deep breath, "Okay, I'll stop everything now. I might take my time before I could consider you as my friend again." She concluded.
"Promise me you won't drink again." Sooyoung held her hand while looking at her.
Jinsoul immediately pulled her hand away. She sighed and leaned on the sofa, "Okay, I promise."

"I need you to pretend as my girlfriend." Jungeun said told Chuu while they were walking to Chuu's workplace.
Jungeun grabbed Chuu's hand and gave her a gaze straight to her eyes, "Please? I'll pay you if you want. I need you to pretend that you're my girlfriend. Please"
Chuu felt offended. Chuu pulled her hand off of Jungeun's grip. Chuu unconsciously raised her other hand and slapped Jungeun. To her surprise as well, she apologized while Looking at Jungeun's hurt face.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to slap you." Chuu apologized, "But just because you need this so much, doesn't mean you can do whatever you want and buy me off to pretend that I'm your girlfriend. I'm not cheap, Kim Jungeun."
Jungeun froze, while Chuu already left her.
While at work Chuu still thought about what Jungeun said "‘I need you to pretend that you're my girlfriend.’ I’m so disappointed. Ugh! Does she think I’m cheap? And to think that we’re not even close yet. Really?" Irritated, she wiped the tables angrily. Sooyoung, who was working with her, noticed this and approached her.
"Jiwoo-ssi, are you okay?" She asked
Chuu sighed and had to relax herself, "Sorry, something happened. I'm just so irritated right now."
"Do you want to tell me what happened?" Sooyoung asked.
"No. Nevermind. It's no big deal." Chuu assured her, "but thanks for worrying about me."
Chuu smiled to Sooyoung, and Sooyoung was relieved and smiled as well.
"I trust that you'll get through whatever that is." Sooyoung said, "but if you really need someone, I'm here, okay?"
Chuu nodded and smiled brightly. Her phone beeped. Chuu received a message from Jungeun.
Tumblr media
That night Chuu worked diligently as usual. Their shift ended and Sooyoung approached her.
"Jiwoo-ssi, can we hangout after?" She asked.
"Eh? Yeah sure." Chuu agrees.
As they headed out of the restaurant, Chuu was surprised that Jungeun was already outside.
"Oh, you're finally out." Jungeun greeted her. Chuu was surprised and couldn't speak.
"Who is she?" Sooyoung asked.
"She's my girlfriend." Jungeun answered while giving Sooyoung a strong gaze.
"Ahh, oh, you're here to pick her up?" Sooyoung looked at Chuu, "I'll go ahead now, okay?"
"No! Don't go!" Chuu yelled, "I'm not her girlfriend don't believe her."
"EH?!" Jungeun protested.
"Sooyoung and I are going out for a drink." Chuu told Jungeun with a strong look, "We're going!"
"Okay, then I'll join you." Jungeun said.
Sooyoung felt awkward, but wanted to neutralize the moment, "Yeah, that would be cool, let's go together." After all she was curious about the girl who insisted to be Chuu's girlfriend.
They went to a pub nearby, and sat at the table, at the corner of the pub. There were four seats around the rectangular table, Chuu sat next to Sooyoung, behind them was the wall. Jungeun sat opposite to Chuu.
They drank some beer, and finished a bottle of soju. A little later, a tipsy person came in the pub and noticed Sooyoung and Chuu. It was Jinsoul. She gathered her composure and approached her.
"Mind if I join in?" Jinsoul said. She looked around and saw Jungeun. Jungeun turned her head and looked at her, she was surprised. She chose to stay silent as if she didn't meet her last night.
"Oh Annyeong Jinsoul sunbaenim" Chuu greeted her, a little tipsy "Sure join us. Have a seat."
Jungeun and Jinsoul was staring at each other for a while. Jinsoul sat beside Jungeun and avoided her gaze. Chuu noticed and decided to introduce them.
"Oh Jinsoul sunbae, this is my classmate, Kim Jungeun. Jungeun this is Jung Jinsoul sunbae, she's also a DJ." Chuu introduced a little tipsy.
"Oh, you've done your research, I'm impressed." Jinsoul told her, still smiling awkwardly.
"My housemates knew about you. They love your radio  show. Maybe you can meet them some time soon." Chuu gave a bright smile. Jinsoul smiled awkwardly, she looked at Sooyoung.
Sooyoung, who has been silent, was uncomfortable from what was happening, "Were you following me? Giving Jinsoul a strong gaze."
"No, no" Jinsoul quickly denied and lowered her head, "I just saw you coincidentally."
"Sooyoungiiee~, stop being so cold to Jinsoul unnie." Chuu said. She was already drunk after they finished 2 bottles of soju.
"Oh she's drunk." Jungeun said, "Come on stand up, I'll take you home." Jungeun stood up from her seat and walked around the table to get Chuu.
As she was about to grab Chuu's arm, Sooyoung stopped her, "No, I'll take her home."
Jungeun scoffed, "Sunbaenim, I'm sorry, but Chuu's coming with me."
"Wow," Jinsoul teased, "Why don't you take me home instead Sooyoungie."
Chuu passed out and laid her haid on the table. Sooyoung and Jungeun hurriedly went to lift her up, Jinsoul giving them an annoyed look for ignoring her.
"Jiwoo-ssi, let's go, I'll take you home." Sooyoung grabbed Chuu's arm and put it around her neck. She lifted her so Chuu could stand.
"Jungeun-ssi! You stupid!" Chuu yelled, and walked towards Jungeun and hugged her. Everything blacked out for Chuu after that.
When she woke up, she was already on her bed. She sat up, felt her head, and was a little dizzy. Yerim came in to their room.
Yerim: Oh you're awake. Chuu: Yeah, I can't remember how I got home. Hyunjin: Is our rebelious daughter awake? Yerim: Yeah, you can scold her now. Hyunjin: Where were you last night? Who were you with? You didn't even bother to call us. *she approached Chuu* Chuu: Sorry~ it was unplanned. Yerim: Yah! you went out drinking with random people, and you know you can't handle yourself when you get drunk. Chuu: I'm sorry *She pouted* But how did I get home? Yerim: I don't know. I woke up this morning and you were already on your bed.
"A dark-haired, tall girl took you home Jiwoo-yah." Hyejoo suddenly came in and stood by the door.
"Dark-haired, tall girl?" Chuu thought hard, "Ha Sooyoung?"
"No, Jiwoo-yah. It was me." Hyejoo pointed herself.
Chuu: What? How? Hyejoo: I was on my way home last night when I saw 3 ladies ganging up on you. Chuu: Ganging up on me? Hyejoo: They all looked so angry and dangerous, so I sneaked in, grabbed you, and left immediately. Hyunjin: You didn't even talk to them? Hyejoo: I said you lived with me, and left. Yerim: Who were you with last night? Chuu: Ha Sooyoung, Jung Jinsoul, Kim Jungeun Hyejoo: So that was them? But who's Kim Jungeun? Yerim: Kim Jungeun? KIM JUNGEUN? You're friends with Kim Jungeun? Hyunjin: One more time, Kim Jungeun? *teases Yerim* Yerim: I know her. There were some people in my class talking about her. Quite a snob they said. Chuu: Jungeun wants me to be her girlfriend. ALL: WHAT!?
Chuu told them the rest of the story. She checked her phone after and saw messages from Jungeun and Sooyoung.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Suddenly a random delivery came.
"Oh Chuu! It's for you." Hyejoo yelled from the door.
Chuu went to the door and received what was delivered for her. It was a bouquet of red and purple tulips. It came with a tall lemon juice with a note:
"Kim Jiwoo, drink this for your hangover. -Jungeun"
The rest of her housemates saw the note, and teased Chuu over it. Chuu felt embarassed, but touched of Jungeun's thoughtfulness.
Monday came, Chuu woke up early as it was the day of the presentation. As Chuu went out of the apartment, she saw Jungeun, and Jungeun saw her, "Good morning!" she greets.
Chuu awkwardly smiled, "What are you doing here?" she asked.
"I came to pick you up." Jungeun replied.
Chuu sighed, "Jungeun-ssi, you don't have to do this, okay? And how did you know where I live?"
"That's a secret I can't tell you. You said that I should do it properly." Jungeun protested, "Didn't you mean that I should win your heart properly?"
"If only you mean it, not just because of the favor you're gonna ask me!" Chuu strongly replied, "Whatever, we're gonna be late. Let's go."
Jungeun smirked, while Chuu was obviously irritated. They began to walk their way to school. While doing so, Chuu got curious about the night she got drunk.
"After I left the other night, what happened to Jinsoul and Sooyoung?" Chuu casually asked.
Jungeun looked at her and sighed, "The way you only asked about them and not me. Sooyoung sunbae sent her home." She paused, "But before that, Jinsoul sounded so mad telling Sooyoung how she doesn't care about her anymore, she was crying, I did not interupt them, and left. It was none of my business in the first place."
Chuu nodded, "Ahh, I guess the rumors are true."
Jungeun: Rumors? Chuu: That both of them used to date? Jungeun: Oh?! Really?! *her eyes widened* Chuu: *Surprised with Jungeun reaction* W-wae? Why are you reacting like that? It's none of our business, right? Jungeun: Ahh sorry *she calmed down*
They reached the traffic light, and waited for the pedestrian signal light to turn green. Chuu glanced at Jungeun, and once again was amazed by her beauty. Her cool aura, "Ah she really feels like a prince." Chuu was stunned. The light turned green, and Jungeun started walking to cross the street.
Jungeun noticed that Chuu was left behind, she stopped, and looked behind her. She lifted her hand, palm up, "Let's go, Jiwoo-ya!" Her gentle voice said.
Chuu was even more stunned, she couldn't react. She couldn't move. Her ears deafened by her heartbeat that was raising fast. Strongly beating 'Lub-dub', this was the only thing she could hear at that moment. Jungeun reached for her hand instead, held it tight, and pulled her to walk.
They crossed the street, and even when walking, Chuu still couldn't react. They were walking, but to her, it felt like they were floating. For her, it felt like she was flying. She never felt this way before, she thought, "I might go crazy over this."

2 - Prince
"Since highschool our physics teacher would always teach us about Newton's Third Law: 'For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.'. This came into my mind just thinking about you. I made actions, but the reactions were completely opposite. When I'm being sweet to you, you avoid me. When I ignore you, you send me messages wanting to see me. I told you I like you, and you tell me that I got it wrong. You're sometimes sweet like I'm everything to you, and most times you act as if we're nothing. What am I to you? I really want to know."
Jinsoul voice being heard from the radio while rain gently poured outside the listener's window. She just woke up from an afternoon nap. She moaned, irritated.
"Ugh!" She gently reached for the radio placed on a table near her bed, and turned it off.
"Yah! Kim Jungeun! Why did you turn it off?" Jeon Heejin yelled, while she was doing her make up.
Jungeun looked at her phone and read her messages. One message was from Chuu.
*Chuu's Message*
Hello, Kim Jungeun, this is Kim Jiwoo your groupmate. If it's okay, let's meet up at the café tomorrow?
*End Message*
"Don't you have class to attend to?" Heejin asked.
Heejin and Jungeun share a studio type apartment with a bunk bed. Jungeun sleeps on the top bunk and Heejin at the bottom. They were close since highscool. Heejin was more of an extrovert, a bright and warm person, making friends with everyone, while Jungeun was the cold one who would always ignore her friends. They were... bestfriends, oddly.
"Ugh! You're too noisy. Stop asking questions." Jungeun replied coldly.
"Whatever. I'll be out tonight. Our friends called us for a drink, wanna come?" Heejin asked.
"NO." Jungeun immediately replied while she got up. She stretched her arms, and went down from her bunk. She walked to the kitchen and grabbed some water to drink "and don't you mean YOUR friends, I barely know who you hangout with."
"Oh right...and Haseul unnie will be there too." Heejin said.
Jungeun was surprised that she nearly spit her water "What? She's home?!"
"Yeah, she didn't tell you?" Heejin was puzzled. "She came back yesterday. She really didn't tell you?"
"Yeah." Jungeun said with a low voice, and went silent.
"I don't know what happened to the both of you. You never tell me anything. I mean obviously I know that you like her. She's the only person who made you soft while you've been ignoring everyone else." Heejin nagged. "But sometimes I wish you would tell me more."
Jungeun stared empty to the wall, "It's not important really. I have nothing to tell you."
Heejin sighed "Anyway, I know that you want to see her too, so you should come with me."
Heejin convinced Jungeun, and both of them went to the pub together.
In the pub, Heejin and Jungeun sat with their friends. Haseul wasn't there yet. They started drinking beer, and hard drinks.
"Heekkii!!!" The girl shouted. Heejin was surprised when she glanced and immediately stood up to hug the girl.
"Haseul unnie!!! You're finally here!." Heejin excitingly said and led her to their table. "I missed you so much! Here, let me introduce you to my friends."
Heejin introduced Haseul to her friends. And they greeted her, Haseul greeted them as well. She glanced towards where Jungeun was, "Kim Jungeun." Haseul smiled.
Jungeun was silent and didn't even look at her. She stood up, "Welcome back, unnie." giving a cold look and went to the bar.
Jungeun sat at the bar, and ordered a glass of beer. As she took a sip the girl sitting next to her spoke.
"Gosh! I wish I have what you're having now." The girl said.
Jungeun glanced with her eyes, wondering if the the girl was talking to her but ignored her anyway.
"Is your beer not cold enough, Jinsoul?" the waiter asked in a teasing manner while he wipes the glasses.
"Ugh, yes? I'm a regular and I can't believe I'm not getting beer as cold as hers." Jinsoul pointed at Jungeun with her thumb.
Jungeun rolled her eyes, and was about to leave, but as she glanced to her friends' table she saw Haseul who was happily talking to everyone. She retracted and settled herself at the bar. Jinsoul noticed this.
"Are you having trouble with your friends?" Jinsoul, who was already tipsy, asked, "Hey I can tell that you're a first year, I'm your sunbae. You can tell me aaaanyyyything..." she bragged. "Come on tell me your story."
Despite all that, Jungeun still chose to ignore her.
"Yah!" Jinsoul snapped, "Stop ignoring me" Jinsoul began to cry as she was already drunk. She grabbed Jungeun's arm and kept tugging it towards her, "Why are you ignoring me? Stop ignoring me."
"Is she normally like this?" Jungeun asked the waiter.
"Yeeahh, she'll come back to her senses later don't worry." the waiter said, "She's just having a hard time right now."
Jinsoul suddenly laughed, "HAHA! Right! A fucking hard time!" she cursed, "Damn those people who treated me like trash!". She grabbed her glass and was about to sip when Jungeun stopped her.
"You better stop drinking now, sunbae-nim. You're drunk." Jungeun grabbed her glass and finished it. "You might not be able to go home if you get too drunk."
"So what? Nobody cares if I get home or not." Jinsoul whined, "Or maybe if you care so much about me, then you can take me home instead."
"What?" Jungeun shook her head, and chuckled "Nice try."
Jinsoul: Don't you find me attractive?
Jungeun: What? *laughs*
Jinsoul: Yah! You don't know that I'm popular at the university?! *she rolled her eyes*
Jungeun: I can't even remember my classmates.
Jinsoul: But that's not the point! I know I'm attractive and I know you'll fall for me!
Jungeun: *laughs harder* Sunbae-nim you really are so drunk right now!
Both of them continued to drink until both of them got drunk. Jungeun completely forgot about her friends. Jinsoul grabbed her arm and stood up.
"Let's go somewhere fun." Jinsoul pulled her out of the pub and went to a club.
That night they danced all drunk in a crowded club. The music was loud. They were feeling and jamming with the beat. Both their bodies come close to each other as the crowd thickens. Their faces facing each other feeling both of their breaths as they both kissed. Jungeun's hands was feeling Jinsoul's waist pulling it closer towards her. And Jinsoul's hands on Jungeun's face gently caressing her hair. The loud music continued, and every thing was just a blur. The next thing Jungeun knew was that she was naked and woke up next to Jinsoul's naked body.
To her surprise, she immediately stood up and hurriedly dressed herself. They were at Jinsoul's apartment. She noticed that she lives alone. She was relieved. Jungeun slowly grabbed the door and went out without Jinsoul knowing.
Jungeun arrived home, and slowly opened their apartment's door hoping Heejin wouldn't notice her. To her surprise Heejin was already at the door, expecting her.
"Kim Jungeun!" Heejin called her out with her stern face. "Where did you run off last night?! I was calling you but you phone was off?! Where were you?"
The startled Jungeun knew she was in trouble, she couldn't find her words, "I... uhhh... I-I was with a friend last night, that's all." She immediately ran inside the apartment and laid down her bed and covered her face with a pillow to avoid Heejin.
"And you think I would believe that? You don't even have friends other than me." Heejin followed Jungeun and forced her to look at her. "Jung Jinsoul".
Jungeun immediately sat up, startled "How did you know?"
Heejin laughed "I haven't even said anything yet. You're making it too obvious! Of course I know. I asked the waiter where you went and he told me you headed out with Jung Jinsoul. THE Jung Jinsoul."
"Does Haseul unnie know too?" Jungeun was worried and wrinkled her forehead. "Please tell me she doesn't know."
"Apparently she knew. She was with me when I asked." Heejin told her, "She was so disappointed that you left, you know? you should apologize to her."
"I can't just do that." Jungeun's face turned sad, and looked at her watch. "Oh my gosh! I almost forgot about meeting up with my groupmates."
She immediately went to the shower, and prepared to leave.
She met up with Chuu and Vivi who was already sitting at a table discussing. The girls noticed her when she walked towards them, and greeted each other.
"I'm sorry I'm late." Jungeun apologized.
"No, it's okay. We haven't started anything yet." Chuu told her.
"Jungeun-ssi, are you okay?" Vivi asked her since Jungeun looked a bit stressed from the hangover.
"Ah yeah yeah, I'm fine..." Jungeun felt shy as she was not acquainted with Vivi yet.
"OH right I haven't introduced you with each other. Jungeun-ssi this is Vivi unnie, she's a foreigner, and is older than us so she's an unnie." Chuu explained and Vivi smiled.
"Jiwoo-ssi you don't have to tell everyone that I'm older." Vivi faked her smiled and fiercely looked at Chuu.
Chuu got scared, "Unnie I'm sorry."
Jungeun laughed, while both Chuu and Vivi was surprised she could laugh.
"Sorry" Jungeun apologized, "I'll go order something to drink first." and slowly left the table to the counter.
"Vivi unnie, I think she has a hangover." Chuu whispered.
"You think so? How can you tell?" Vivi asked.
"I don't know, I just feel like she's still a bit drunk, she reminds me of my housemate Hyejoo. She acts like that in the morning when she drinks too much." Chuu explained.
Both of them glanced at Jungeun who was currently ordering at the counter and glanced back to each other.
"But still, Unnie! Her laugh. She was soooo cute!" Chuu blushed and covered her face "My cold prince is melting my heart."
"You're crazy" Vivi said.
They immediatly sat upright when they noticed Jungeun coming back to their table. And started to discuss about the presentation after Jungeun sat down.
"And we're done!" Chuu cheerfully said.
"Great!" Vivi cheered too.
Jungeun noticed the cheerfulness and added a weak cheer "Yey!"
"Kyeopta." Chuu whispered while looking at Jungeun's reaction.
"What?" Jungeun asked.
"N-n-nothing." Chuu immediately turned her face away.
"Guys, I have somewhere else to go to. I'll go on ahead. Bye!" Vivi gave Chuu a wink "Good luck Chuu, hwaiting!" and hurriedly left the café.
"Ahh sure. See you at school, unnie." Inside Chuu's thoughts "Vivi unnie don't leave meee"
Chuu looked at Jungeun and Jungeun looked at her too.
"You wanna go somewhere, Jiwoo-ssi?" Jungeun asked her.
Chuu was startled of the sudden question, "W-what? Go somewhere?"
"Yeah," Jungeun nodded, "I'm asking if you have to go, I won't mind if you want to go?"
"E-Eh?" Chuu was confused, at the same time was disappointed "Oh. Do you want me to leave?"
"N-no, that's not what I meant." Jungeun explained. "I mean, I'm fine if you want to stay."
"O-okay..." Chuu awkwardly smiled, "This is so awkward, what was Vivi unnie thinking leaving me here just like that." Chuu thought.
Chuu: I actually need to go to my part-time job, its nearby so I'll just walk.
Jungeun: Ohh is that so? Then I'll walk with you then.
Chuu: Eh? Aren't you busy?
Jungeun: No, and, uh.. I don't really feel like going home yet. Shall we go?
Jungeun stood up, and nodded her head to Chuu signaling her to come. They both headed out of the café and walked their way to the chicken restaurant.
The mood went silent while they were walking. Jungeun was casually walking, while Chuu felt so nervous.
Chuu's thoughts: Omo omo omo! I'm walking with my crush. What do I do, my heart is beating so fast, I don't know what to tell her. Wait Kim Jiwoo, relax. You got this. just a simple topic will do.
"Soooo... What do you usually do on your free time?" Chuu started talking.
"Not much, really..." Jungeun answered. "What about you?"
"I work part-time in a chicken restaurant." Chuu answered.
"We're talking about free time right?" Jungeun slightly chuckled.
"Aaaaah! I mean..." Chuu got nervous, "Omo! what do I tell her? I mean if I could just tell you how much I love staring at her, I can't just tell her that, right?" Chuu thought hard but ended up blurting out what she had in mind
"I like looking at you." Chuu gasped and felt shy as soon as she realized her words.
Jungeun's eyes widened.
"I-I'm kidding." Chuu said and laughed awkwardly.
"A-aaahh..." Jungeun smiled. It was so silent for a while, and Jungeun finally spoke, "Kim Jiwoo, can I tell you something?"
Chuu flinched and asked, "What is it?"
Jungeun took a deep breath, "I need you to pretend as my girlfriend."

1 - Fairy
She heard someone call from ahead of her, "Chuu!". It was Ha Sooyoung, aka Yves, who was waving to Chuu in front of a café. They made plans to meet up after Chuu's class that day to talk about the job-hunting plan as Yves told her.
"OH! Sooyoung unnie! Annyeong!" responded with a bow and a wide smile.
"Ya, don't be too formal." Yves responds.
"Have you been waiting?" Chuu asked.
"No, not at all! I wasn't waiting at all." Yves responded, trying her best to hide that she arrived 30 minutes earlier than scheduled.
Both went inside the cafe and ordered, Café Latte for Yves, and Americano for Chuu. They sat down in a table for two, near the glass wall.
"Heh, I didn't expect that you'd order that." Yves smirked.
"W-what?" Chuu got confused
"I thought you'd order something cute like strawberry frappe, or chocolate cookie drink." Yves explained.
"Eh? I don't know I just felt like ordering this now. Do you want me to change my order?" Chuu innocently looked at Yves to her eyes.
Yves shyly avoided her gaze, "N-no. I didn't mean that." she stammered.
"I'm just kidding!" Chuu laughed and smiled at Yves assuring that it won't be awkward. "I was thinking about getting a job at a chicken restaurant. What do you think?"
"Ah yes! That seems to be a great idea!" Yves excitingly said, "I think I saw an opening not far from here. Wanna go there later?"
"Yeah, sure!" Chuu responded.
The café door opened, Yves glanced at the door and saw a very familiar face coming in.
"Oh! Ha Sooyoung-ssi!" the lady called, and came towards their table. "You haven't been responding to my messages for days. I was worried."
Chuu was confused and felt awkward with the sudden interruption. Yves was surprised to meet the lady coincidentally. The lady glanced at Chuu, and Chuu avoided her gaze.
"Oh, sorry, you must be in the middle of something." the lady said. She held her hand up to Chuu, who was still sitting down, assuming for a hand-shake "My name is Jinsoul. Jung Jinsoul, I'm Ha Sooyoung's..."
"FRIEND!!" Yves interrupted Jinsoul, while standing up and grabbed Jinsoul's arm, "I'm sorry, I need to talk to her for a minute." She told Chuu, headed out of the café with Jinsoul.
Yves and Jinsoul reached an empty alley near the cafe.
"What were you trying to tell her?" Yves angrily asked Jinsoul. Jinsoul removed her arm from Yves' tight grip, then tried to ease the pain from the grip. She felt Yves' anger, and looked down to the ground. Yves sighed and gazed strongly at Jinsoul. She reiterated her question, "What were you about to tell her?"
"My friend... I was about to tell her that I'm your friend." Jinsoul responded with an apologetic tone, "Sooyoungie I'm sorry. I was just trying to tease you. I didn't mean anything about it. I promise. I'm over it." She paused, "Are you dating her?"
"What? No!" Yves denied, "but I find her interesting. I met her yesterday looking for a job, and made me interested in finding one too. I'm just trying to help her."
The tension calmed down, and Jinsoul sighed, "There's nothing left for me to do, huh? I'll be on my way then. I'm really sorry Sooyoung, bye."
Jinsoul left the alley, and Yves hurriedly went back on her way to the café only to find out that Chuu has already left her seat. She immediately grabbed her phone and called her.
*Ringback tone*
"Hello? Chuu? I'm sorry I left you. Where are you?" Yves panickly asked.
"Eh? Yves unnie I'm right behind you." Chuu responded as Yves turned around and saw Chuu smiling widely.
"AH! I thought you already left." Yves was relieved.
"I went to the restroom. Where is Jinsoul unnie?" Chuu asked walking towards Yves.
"She left. Ah! How about we go to that chicken place now?" Yves smiled towards Chuu, but felt kinda awkward from Chuu's question. It made her think how innocent Chuu is.
While on their way to the chicken place Yves started a conversation. They were walking beside each other, keeping a friendly distance.
"If you don't mind me asking, why are you so eager in getting a job?" Yves cautiously asked
Chuu glanced towards Yves, smiled widely showing her teeth and said "No reason at all."
Yves: Eh?
Chuu: I don't have a strong reason about getting a job. I just thought that it is interesting.
Yves: How so?
Chuu: Well, for example, if ever I get a job as a bartender at night I'd be meeting drunkards and talk to them about their problems.
Yves: What? *scoffs* Why would you even talk to drunkards? Why would you even talk to strangers?!
Chuu: Ah unnie, you talked to me when I was a stranger. Anyway, it may not be that exact thing I'm imagining, but I'd be very happy talking to people while serving them.
Chuu smiles widely while extending both her arms to the air.
"You really are interesting" Yves whispered and smirked.
"Eh? I didn't hear you." Chuu pouted and was confused.
"Nothing." Yves responded facing away. "I guess you're some sort of a fairy."
"A fairy? Me??" Chuu was surprised.
"Yeah, a fairy." Yves said, and glanced at Chuu, "Unlike the sun, you're not just a bright person, but at the same time you make things better with just a sprinkle of your dust."
"Oh Yves unnie, we're finally here!" Chuu excitedly said pointing at the chicken restaurant's sign. "Heh? Were you telling me something?"
Yves felt devastated from being ignored, and frowned "Ahh she didn't hear me." Yves sighed and saw the 'Closed' sign on the chicken place's door. Disappointed she said "Oh it's closed for today."
"That's okay!" Chuu brightened and tapped on Yves' shoulders "We'll go to another place tomorrow and more until we get that job! Besides, I really enjoyed your company."
"Ah really?" Yves responded "I guess there's nothing we can do but head home for now."
The two of them decided to go home.
The next day...
*phone alarms*
"Mmm-mm..." Chuu groans as she reached for her phone. She looked at her phone, it's 7:30 AM, she gasped "OH MY GOSH! I'm LATE!!!"
Chuu hurriedly prepared for her class, running around the apartment and her housemates just looking at her.
"Yerim-ah why didn't you wake me up when you heard my alarm?" Chuu asked while running around to get her things.
Choi Yerim who just woke up herself and was rubbing her eyes while yawning, "Ah sorry, I must have slept again when I heard it. Maybe Hyunjin heard it."
"Yeah, I actually heard it." Kim Hyunjin responded who was sitting in the dining area while eating  bread, "I just didn't wake you up."
Chuu stopped in front of Hyunjin "Yah! Kim Hyunjin."
"What? I’m kidding I didn't hear your alarm from my room." Hyunjin smiled devilishly "Or did I?"
Chuu laughed and left the apartment. The university is close-by so Chuu ran on her way to class, and arrived the room all sweaty.
"Oh! Chuu!" Vivi saw Chuu, "Come here, let's wipe all that sweat. Did you run your way here?"
"Yes." Chuu who was out of breath responded, "I woke up really late" she cried.
"There, there" Vivi helped Chuu freshen up, "Perfect!"
"VIVI UNNIE!!" Chuu cried "Thank you!"
As the class was about to start, Chuu glanced around the room, and gasped as she saw a familiar face. It was the girl whom she noticed when she crossed the traffic light last time.
"Unnie!" she whispered, "that girl, she wasn't here last time right?" pointing at the girl.
"Ah! Kim Jungeun?" Vivi replied.
"Is that her name? It sounds scary." Chuu continues to whisper looking at the girl.
"Yeah" Vivi responded "I heard she's really famous with both guys and girls. Although they say she turns down everyone who tries to confess to her."
"Ahh no wonder she feels like a snob" Chuu said.
"And for our class next week I want you to group yourselves into three, and have a presentation." the professor announced in class. "That's all for today, goodbye."
Automatically Chuu grouped herself with Vivi, and looked for one more member. She couldn't help but glance towards Kim Jungeun who was alone. She approached her.
"Hey." She greeted brightly with her gummy smile. "I'm Jiwoo. We need one more member for our group, wanna join us?"
"Uh Sure." Surprisingly Jungeun responded immediately.
"Let me have your number so we can meet up later this week for the presentation." Chuu initiated, and handed her phone to Jungeun. Jungeun typed her number and name, and saved it "I'll send you a message, okay?"
Chuu walked her way back to Vivi, relieved "Whew! It wasn't that hard talking to her."
"Oh? Did she agree?" Vivi asked, and Chuu nodded, "I'm amazed how you easily hadled talking to her straight up!"
They started to walk out of the room together. Chuu suddenly covered her red face, and squealed "Kyaa~ I can't believe I did that!"
"Huh?" Vivi with the bewildered face from her late reaction "do you actually find her attracive?"
"I don't know! Unnie I don't know!" Chuu's muffled voice as she was still covering her face, "I just thought she looked like a prince. I don't know why I feel butterflies in my stomch when I first saw her, and when I saw her this morning. My heart just went crazy when I talked to her."
"Wow!" Vivi was impressed and clapped her hands "You did well keeping all those feeling while talking to her. But does it mean that you have a crush on her?"
"But Vivi unnie! She's a girl too! How can I have a crush on her when we're both girls." Chuu whined.
Vivi faced her and grabbed both her shoulders and faced Chuu towards her too "Eh? Gender doesn't matter when it comes to that." Vivi looked straight to her eyes.
Chuu calmed herself, "I guess so. It's just a crush anyway."
"You're still young, you'll get to know yourself better as the days go by." Vivi said while they faced towards the hall and continued walking.
"Woah! Vivi unnie! You're so mature." Chuu astonishly said.
"Anyway I'll be off to my next class now. Good luck Chuu!" Vivi said.
"Bye unnie!" Chuu replied.
Chuu went to the rest of her class that day. And as the day ended, she sent a message to Yves if she wanted to meet up. Sadly, Yves responded that she had matters to attend to. Yves called to tell her about it.
*On the phone*
Yves: Hello?
Chuu: Hello Yves unnie!
Yves: I'm sorry I really can't make it today. Anyway, remember that chicken place we went to yesterday? I sent our resumé to them and they said they're currently understaffed so the manager hired us immediately.
Chuu: WHOA!!*Surprised* UNNIE!!!! We did it??!!
Yves: Yeah! We did it! They're expecting us tomorrow at 6pm. I got to go now. Bye!
Chuu: Ah yes, sure! Goodbye Yves unnie, Thank you!!
Chuu happily went home, and immediately told her housemates about the job. All of them congratulated Chuu, and was curious about Yves.
Yerim: You're so lucky you met Yves at the right time, but I can't help but think about the reason she's helping you.
Chuu: Eh? What are you thinking? Besides, it's not like she'll get something from me.
Hyunjin: Yerim is actually right, *grins* I think she wants something from you. *she teases*
Yerim: Or maybe, she WANTS you! *Teases*
Chuu: What are you talking about? I don't get it. *Chuu innocently flusters*
Hyunjin & Yerim: Nothing!!!
"Oohoho, what am I missing? Who are we talking about?" the girls heard the voice of their other housemate. It was Son Hyejoo who just came home from working at a convenient store.
"Hyejoo-yaaa!" Chuu cries running to Hyejoo. "They keep teasing me."
"Chuu has a girlfriend." Hyunjin straight-up told Hyejoo.
"AH! Really?!" Hyejoo was surprised.
"No. That's not true!" Chuu denies. "I finally got a job."
"Really? Congrats! Here I brought home some ice cream from the store." Hyejoo hands them the ice popsicles. "But who is this 'girlfriend'?"
"Ha Sooyoung!" Yerim answered.
"Ha Sooyoung?! You mean Yves?!" Hyejoo was surprised.
"What? You know her?" Hyunjin asked.
"Bet I do!" Hyejoo bragged. She sits down, and called the girls closer to her. "You know how I keep telling you about how I hear all the gossips going around the University when I work in the convenience store, right? I heard this rumor a month ago that a girl named Yves betrayed her friend."
The girls was shocked and continued to listen.
Hyejoo: The rumor said that Yves stole the person her friend was pursuing.
Hyunjin, Yerim: WHAT?!
Chuu: No way....
Hyejoo: Yeah, I was also shocked when I heard it. You know what else is shocking? That person she stole was *pauses* Jung Jinsoul!
Chuu: *gasps*
Yerim: JUNG JINSOUL?! The University radio's DJ?!!!!
Hyunjin: Who's that? I don't know her.
Yerim: I listen to her show every afternoon. Woah! Jinsoul and Yves!
The girls continued to chat, but Chuu kept thinking about what Hyejoo told them. She kept thinking about the scene yesterday at the café when Jinsoul came as she felt the tension between Jinsoul and Yves. "No way..." Chuu wanted to keep her mind open. "That can't be true. Yves is too kind to betray anyone."
To be continued.....

Writer's note:
What do you think will happen next? Feel free to comment!
*I’m confused if it should be Yves’ or Yves’s*
*Residents in Chuu's apartment are:
Room 1 = Chuu, Yerim
Room 2 = Hyunjin, Hyejoo
I'm thinking about making a page for all the characters' profile. What do you think?
Last note: I really want to improve my writing. It's very hard when, first of all, you're not a booknerd. Anyway, I want to thank my wife for proof-reading for me. >_< Wormy thank you!! :*

Introduction
“Thank you so much for your time!”
She said in her loud, cute voice as she bows to the chicken restaurant’s manager. She immediately left that place.
“Ahh… I didn’t get that job again.” she pouts “Guess I’ll just have to do better next time.” and put on a gummy smile on her face… a second later she widened her eyes and mouth as she remembers “AH! I’m late for my class!!”
So she hurriedly ran on her way to class. Luckily, she made it just in time.
“Hey, is someone sitting next to you?” a calm female voice said.
“Ah no no.” She quickly responds as she was struck by her reindeer-like eyes, her pretty smile, and pigtail hair, “Ahh college girls are so pretty. I wonder if she wants to be friends with me” Chuu thought as the girl slowly sat beside her.
“I’m Vivi, what’s your name?” she smiled and offered her hand for a shake.
“Ooohh my name is Kim Jiwoo, but my friends call me Chuu!” she stammered as she did not expect her to be friendly, she shook her hand quickly.
“Nice to meet you, ‘Kim Jiwoo but her friends call her Chuu’.” She jokingly said and smiled a bit wider.
“Eh? Vivi…” she tilted her head “are you a foreigner?”
“I am! I came here to study korean language.” she answers
“Ah! That’s amazing!” She smiled and they talked more.
After class…
“Hey Chuu, I have to go to my next class. See you later.” Vivi said and left.
“Ah Vivi unnie! Bye!” Chuu also left.
“My next class was cancelled, huh?” She thought “Gotta go job-hunting then”
As she was about to cross the traffic light she noticed a girl walking towards her, glimmering with her charm and beauty, “Omo! She looks like a prince!” Chuu whispered to herself, stunned to the girl who was sweeping her hair back, and walking towards her. To Chuu, that moment looked like she was watching someone in a movie, everything was in slow-motion, her heartbeat was fast and she covered her face as she noticed it felt warm. The charming girl continued to walk past her.
“What happened to me? What’s wrong with me? Oh my gosh…” She breathed and calmed herself while wiping her sweat.
She continues to walk to a café which she was looking forward to apply, but her thoughts remained on that charming girl she met at the traffic light.
“I’m sure she’s also a student. I wonder what her name is? I want to see her again.” She kept thinking as she reached the café. “Chuu what’s wrong with you? Get over it, you have a job to apply to.” she told herself, took deep breathes and finally enters the café.
As she was done talking to the manager, she sat to an empty chair to wait if she got the job.
“Hi. I noticed you from my table, I want to apply for jobs too. My name is Ha Sooyoung my friends call me Yves, would you like to go job-hunting with me?”
Chuu was struck of the sudden introduction, but the manager already called her to her disappointment, she did not get the job again. She immediately left the café.
“Hey! WAIT!!!” a loud voice shouted behind her. She glanced and saw the girl who just introduced herself running towards her with a serious face.
“W-ww–what is she doing…” Chuu looked worried and scared
“WAIT!! KIM JIWOO!” the girl shouted as she reached Chuu.
“I-I-I-I’M SORRY!” Chuu kept bowing towards her “I totally forgot about you” she glanced on the girls face and got scared of her seriousness “NO no no don’t get me the wrong way. I just left immediately as I heard the bad news”
The girl was catching her breath and said “No… it’s okay, I’m sorry I scared you. I just wanted to get your number.” she asked kindly, and the situation calmed down.
Chuu: “Oh. Eh?! But why would you ask for my number?”
Yves: “Like I said earlier, I want to go job-hunting with you… ahhh ‘coz it’s more fun to do it when you’re with someone, like a friend or something…”
Chuu: “Ahh.. But how did you know my name?”
Yves: “AHHH! I heard you when you were introducing yourself earlier.”
Chuu: “Oohhh right. Okay! Let’s be friends. Nice to meet you Yves!”
And both of them exchanged numbers.
