Today was a pretty good day. I got 8 hours of sleep before going to work at 9:00 in the morning. I ended up just yapping at work. After work I went back to my dorm, took a nap (that ended up being two hours) before meeting up with chelsea. we ended up getting perros for dinner before I had to head to lot 8 for my dance fnf. it was really fun but it took longer than i expected. after dance, i went to work and locked in for my chem midterm tmr. overall today was a pretty chill day.

Reflection:
today was a overall pretty good day. I got around 7 hours of sleep before going to bio lecture at 10:00. after lecture, i got a lemon poppy seed muffin from YRL, and then worked on my english essay before heading over to the bomb shelter to have pizza with dylan and emma. After lunch, i went to the library in boelter to study for a bit before going to my three hour seminar. after seminar, i had dinner with ellie at epicuria before going to play capture the flag. after capture the flag, i went to get boba with some friends.

How pledging has changed me
Pledge has definetly had both positive and negative affects on how it has changed me overall. For starters, I have gotten much less sleep since pledging, and overall have been more tired when I am awake. It's been hard to take care of myself, and finding the energy to do otherwise simple things has been hard.
With that being said, there are also some benefits to pledging. My time management skills have never been more tested as they are right now, and although it is hard to keep up with everything, I am staying afloat (I think). Balancing pledge work, school work, actual work, and dance is definetly alot, but I think that being so busy right now will make things easier for me in the future because it is going to feel like I have much more time.
Although I am not sure if this is considered a change, but I think meeting more people is something that is also nice about pledging. I feel that I have been more intention with my conversations, and that pledging has definetly forced me to be more social than I was previous. Prior to pledging, I was more "stagnant" with my relationships, I was happy with the friends that I had, and I didn't feel the need to push myself socially. However, starting pledge has made me initiate more things and be more proactive when it comes to hanging out with people, etc.
Additionally, pledging has made me take myself not as seriously. Even with the interview, there are things that I never would have done otherwise, but you just do because you are a pledge. From the cringy tiktoks to chasing down actives to drinking so. much. water. everyday, there are things I never would have done if it was not for pledge.

reflection:
I got around eight hours of sleep today but i still woke up tired. after waking up I got ready for work and I was at work from 12 to 3. around 3:30 I went to bruin walk pied Ava and then met up with amanda to eat açai bowls together. We ended up just yapping for a little bit before I head over to North campus to meet up with another friend of mine. After that, I ended up heading back to the hill and getting some run before going to dance practice. I end the day by going to In-N-Out with my dance team because this is our last practice of the quarter.

reflection:
i woke up pretty early today (after six hrs of sleep) study for 7c before going to kerck at nine. after staying there for around an hour I saw miss trinity ho before going to lecture for anatomy. After going to lecture, I came back to Kirk to meet up with gina kim and we had panda together . The panda was pretty good. We hung out at Kirk for a little bit before. I eventually ended up going back up to my dorm to study a little bit for 7C take a nap and take a midterm . The midterm itself was really hard, but I’m going to guess I’ll come with some friends today so it wasn’t that bad.

I got around 5 hrs of sleep today before going to work at nine. after went i met up with makeila to lunch before going to kerck to play some cards with sean. after cards i just stayed at kerck for a little bit before meeting with trinity and then having dinner with kelsey. after dinner with kelsey, i did my group phase for 7c and then talent show and then dance practice. overall, today was a really tiring day.

MAY 14 REFLECTION

Today was a little tiring as I only got four-ish hours of sleep before heading to my 8:00 discussion. I had a quiz during discussion, but the section itself was pretty chill. After discussion, I chilled for a little bit before going to bio lecture at 10:00. After lecture, I went on the search for big bandages, as the yrl library, northern lights, and the north campus ucla store didn't have them, but the peets coffee in yrl came in clutch. I got lemon poppy seed muffin as a little snack from yrl before wriitng some emails and then heading over to kerckoff. I met up with karis at kerckoff to make hoodies, and then had panda express with chris. After panda, I went make to kerck before going to the public affaris building for my seminar. After theseminar I had a wrok meeting where they gave us jersey mikes. After thw roking meeting, I ran two miles with some friends and danced before getting salpicon with some more friends, and then studying.

Best and Worst Quality
I think my best quality is my willingness to try new things. Although I wouldn't go as far to say I have tried everything out there, I am always down to try things that I have not before. Whether it be new food spots, activities, sports, etc. Prior to college, there were many things I wanted to get into, but did not necessarily have the community to do so. However, coming into college, there is a community for everything that you can do. If you want to get into a specific sport, there are IM teams meant for that. If you want to get into crocheting or whistling and whatever you want, there is a club/ organization somewhere on campus that allows you to do everything. Through that I was able to try new things (mainly dancing) that I have now come to thoroughly enjoy. I have been able to dry deco art/ decorating my phone case, etc.
My worst quality probably has to be my indecisiveness/lack of confidence when it comes to the decisions I make in my life. How serious the decision is can vary. Sometimes I just can not decide on what I want to eat, but other times I genuinely do not know what I am doing with anything at all. However, I do feel that as someone who is a pre-med who has not gotten any clinical experience, it is normal to question whether you want to go into medicine or not. Although none of my choices have had biggg consequences, there is a worry in the back of my mind that I made the wrong choice. I have a tendency to make "what if" scenarios in my head, which is in no way helpful or productive, but I can not help but do so.

Today started off really rough cuz i woke up late for my chem discussion and i was having technical difficulties with my scooter. After discussion, I went to kerk for around an hour before getting panda with arin. I mailed something for a return before going to the hill for work. After work, I met with Mr. Ji and we crocheted for a little bit before going to dinner. I ate with Ms. Nguyen, before going to a club meeting. It ended up running alittle long, but we made an insta post. After that I went straight to dance [ractice for two hours before going back to my dorm to study with some friends. Overall, I got around 6 hours of sleep today.

I sleep in pretty late before (around 10 hrs of sleep) before going to sunset received out my roommate. I stayed there for an hour while before heading back to my dorm. I cleaned up and little bit, did some laundry, worked on 7C before going to a club meeting at 8;00. The club meeting ended up ended early which was nice. After the meeting i went back into my dorm before meeting with my friends and dancing!!

Today was a pretty chill day. I woke up with around 5 hrs of sleep before getting lunch with some friends at bplate. After getting lunch i went back to my dorm to chill for a little bit before going to work. I had a nine hr shift today so I’m there from 3-12am, but it was fine because it wasn’t busy since everyone went home for mother’s day. i was able to get some stuff done so it was nice. after work i plan on taking a shower before heading out to meet some friends.

Reflection:
I woke up with around 5 hours of sleep today before heading over to Kerckoff to hangout with some friends. After just hanging at Kerckoff for a little bit, I got lunch with Mr. Caleb Ho, and just hung out with him on the lawn next to Jannes Steps. On the lawn, we saw these ambassadors for Doritos and tried this new sriracha flavor. After lunch with Mr. Ho, I went to a cafe in Westwood with another friend of mine where we just yapped for alittle bit. I vistied target and Ralphs to run some errands before meeting up with my friends again at 6:00. Eventually, I went back to my dorm and took a nap before re meeting up with them to lock in. Overall, today was a pretty okay day.
