white women get so hurt when non white women talk abt european standards of beauty and realize that white women aren’t the epitome of beauty and then they go ‘wow so much for women supporting women’ like why should i support standards that made me feel ugly for the majority of my life?why should i care abt you getting upset over some text post on a website when you have a bunch of magazines that validate you?if you really believed in women supporting women you’d understand why those posts are being made and the context behind them and you’d scroll past it without adding some unneeded comment abt how your feelings are hurt but it’s very obvious you throw that phrase around to make non white women feel bad for making you feel uncomfortable and not bc you support the meaning behind it

Quick point I’d like to make about writing characters: people don’t always react the way you think they will in stressful situations. Also, stressful situations vary and so do reactions. Even your most courageous OC will have a scenario that makes them hesitate or go weak in the knees. Likewise, a generally meek or feeble character may suddenly flourish under certain stressful conditions.

And sometimes, even the most responsible or confident characters flake out given any intense scenario.

You don’t have to write these scenes into your story, but knowing your OCs’ reactions in different situations will go a long way to improving your portrayal of them.

Klaroline Appreciation Week 2018 ↳ Day 1: Moment You Knew You Shipped Them

So, few years ago, long before I knew anything about tvd/to/klaroline, I had (still have) a guilty pleasure: watching (mostly listening) to youtube multifandom videos. That was the way I found many good songs and just a guilty pleasure, really.

And quite often I saw this exact moment in those videos. I think the very reason of why I noticed it was Klaus’s deep accented voice, you know.

What a charming gentlemen, I thought. He gave me mr. Darcy vibes (little did I know that this mr. Darcy have a tendency to eat people). And Caroline, she is so bright here, and her smile made me fall in love with her.

Glances. So heated, and gentle, and sincere. And promise in his eyes.

And words. Words so beautiful, about being her last love, so every time I heard it or saw it, my heart cleanched. And yep, I know nothing about them, but thought: awww he is so confident, I am sure there are already together! (lmao I was sweet summer child)

Anyway, his words and that soft kiss on her cheek, they way he lingers to her? I knew nothing about them, but I instantly loved them.

When I finally gave TVD/TO chance, I started to appreciate that moment even more and his words, his ‘However long it takes’ made another sense and gave me that vibe of them being immortal. Let me think that Klaus believes (and he was right all the way) that she is a perfect vampire and will  thrive and that they will have the eternity together.

So yeah, that’s how I unintentionally started to ship them. No regrets.
