buy a pack of chapsticks and put one in the pocket of all of your coats and jackets because you always forget to bring one and chapped lips is sensory hell

leave important things where you can see them. if they go in a box or a drawer you will forget they exist

put any appointments or deadlines in your phone calendar As Soon As you get them. set a reminder for a week before, a day before, an hour before, as many as you need as often as you need them.

when that little voice in your head says "i dont need to write that down, ill remember it" that is the devil talking!!! write it down anyway!!

plan for down time. have a few hours at the end of every day to just do fun stuff like engage in your hyperfixations. even if you didnt get all of your work done that day, have the rest anyway. you probably spent the whole day beating yourself up for not doing what you Should be doing, so you still need the break.

if you never eat vegetables because its too much effort to chop and cook them, get the frozen or canned shit. it doesnt go off for ages and you just have to microwave it. theres no point buying fresh vegetables if they just keep going off and being left to rot in the bottom of your fridge

if you struggle to decide what to have for dinner every day, take the decision out of it. choose a set of meals and eat those on rotation until you get sick of them, then choose some new ones and do it again.

its not stupid if it works! our brains literally have a chemical deficiency. you are allowed to accommodate yourself. go forth and stop making your life more difficult than it has to be because "this shouldn't be this hard". it is hard, so make it easier.

I love Umbrella Academy a lot but one thing I hated is how much distance they put between Diego and Klaus as the seasons went on. They were my favourite duo in the first season and they gradually got to a point where they didn’t even seem to like each other that much. Every season I’d hope for more scenes and then didn’t get any.

Their season 1 dynamic was great because it really did seem like despite finding him annoying and not liking his drug addiction that Diego really cared about Klaus and was protective of him. It also seemed like he was the only one in the family that actually seemed to check in on him throughout the years but in later seasons that was sort of forgotten.

I love the other duos the two of them have but their relationship was really special to me so I need to find some fics about them.

the fact that we went from five screaming, damn near crying, after seeing the apocalypse in a flashback for .2 seconds

all from seeing kids playing in the street

to five not even reacting to physically being in the apocalypse again

its disgusting..

and we get only a pensive face from five?? after literally stepping foot in the apocalypse that drove him mad?? remember when Viktor returned to the place that drove him mad

actually I will say something about this:

setting up a romance line but waiting until one of the actors is a freshly legal adult before executing it is creepy, actually, especially when the co-star is 15 years older

Nothing breaks me more than the ONLY Dave reference in S3 being when Klaus got SHOT in the EXACT SAME PLACE Dave did when he died only for Klaus to SURVIVE IT. And THATS the moment Klaus realizes he’s immortal.

The same injury that killed Dave inside 60 seconds left him with maybe a scar.

The sheer amount of survivors guilt they glanced over??????? Insane. INSANE.

In s1, Five tells Allison he wants to live long enough to meet Claire.

In s4, Five and Claire never interact.

This is the most consistent show of all time, WOW!

Rewatching The Umbrella Academy and the very ending of season 2 when they meet the Sparrows, Ben’s hair is down all emo-like. In the first episode of season 3, Ben’s hair is spiked up instead…

Like obviously they shot these scenes are different times. But that’s such a consistency error??

Did they completely forget what Ben looked like even though they got everyone else correct???

Everyone is standing in the same exact positions, same clothes and everything, EXCEPT BEN!

WHY???

Because of this I choose to believe it was purposeful and clueing us into the “fact” that between the seasons, in 1 moment, the Audience’s timeline switched and season 3 and 4 is some completely different universe that we don’t have to worry about! Problem solved!!

But seriously, this inconsistency bothers the hell out of me… am I crazy?

“i felt that five had to have a love story” okay steve !! fine. i’ll humour you. picture this : lila and five in the subway. they’re travelling to different timelines, loosing hope, trying to find a way home. then they get to a timeline and five sees dolores. but she’s a human, not a mannequin. he falls for her. loves her. wants to stay with her in her timeline. and that’s why lila has to force him to come home. she has kids, a husband, a life. five wants to stay with dolores more than anything. but he goes home, back to his timeline, because he knows he has to save his family. because he loves them more.

Plot holes/crappy writing in TUA 4

• Five, the guy who spent 45 years in an apocalypse and went back specifically to save his siblings from the same fate, ended up betraying Diego with such lightness and unjustified hatred and almost left the whole family because he got rejected by Lila?

• Five and Lila together just because Five needed a love interest when up until a season ago they had a sibling dynamic and Lila was madly in love with Diego

• In the end they decide to sacrifice themselves to destroy the Marigold but then they all reincarnate as Marigold flowers? and there is literally half a bottle of Marigold left intact in Diego's van?

•why in the hell was Lila shooting laser from her eyes? where did that power come from?

• Luther regains his powers and gets his monkey body back even though it has NOTHING to do with his powers since he morphed into that after Reggie saved his life by injecting him with a serum in season one

• in the end, all the past villains are shown together in the correct timeline when they all should be from completely different times

• Five feels like a COMPLETELY different person, the decharacterization was unreal.

• Klaus' new powers are shown for a second and then for the rest of the season he's basically reduced to a prostitute, ruining all the anticipation of seeing his true strength that has been building up since season 2 and nullifying all of his self improvement

• why was Jennifer in a fucking squid?

• in the end how are the children alive if their parents never existed?

• Ben and Jennifer were completely USELESS. and they were supposed to be key characters of the season

• Abigail's storyline made NO sense at all, she was supposed to be one of the most important characters in the series since the foreshadowing of her presence starts in season 1 and then she is reduced to two scenes in which she basically goes "fuck you Reggie for destroying the world, now I'll destroy it too as punishment" ???

• when Five meets the other Fives in the diner he doesn't show any symptoms of Paradox Psychosis

• Ray and Sloane are cut out of the show with two lines without explaining anything

• Diego dies without saying goodbye to his children

• Jean and Gene barely have a role in the whole season

• Allison sacrificed everything and everyone for Claire and their relationship is reduced to 3 scenes?

So in summary, after following deeply flawed but good-hearted characters during four seasons, after watching them struggle to overcome their traumas and become better people, the final message of Umbrella Academy is that if you're dysfunctional and your traumas affect those around you, the best thing you can do for them and the world is to never have been born.

Oh and also that your abusive asshole of a father was right to treat you like disposable trash your whole life.

Like wow, just wow… I'm honestly stunned right now cause I've seen plenty of shitty messages and show endings but I assure you that this is quite a performance.
