Lifter Alert: You Are Being Tracked
I just read some articles on some new technology some stores are using to track people in their store and across entire malls. I could get into technicalities, but the baseline of it is that stores are using your phoneâs wifi pings to get information about your searches, personal info, and most alarmingly, an address specific to your phone. This system is not only able to accurately track where you are in the store live, but is also able to tell if youâve visted the store before, how often, how long ago, and which areas youâve visited most often.
This system of tracking is not only an exposure of privacy for shoppers, but also dangerous for lifters. The solution most people reccommend in response is to completely disable wifi, though I would personally take it safe and just turn on airplane mode while I lift. The idea of being so precisely tracked is scary, and luckily only a few stores, mostly high end like Marks and Spencers, but also casual places like Topshop have this tracking system so far.
Be aware and stay safe everyone!

strategies from a specialist **SUBMISSION**
posting this in case you didnât already see it
Recently discovering this visible offshoot of the âliftingâ community, I wanted to offer some advice. First of all I strongly advocate anyone âfightingâ capitalistic society and especially in the long history of âmagiciansâ making things disappear. These types of communities have been documented since the 1500âs and its interesting to see how the internet can aid them in todays context. I am 49 years old and have had a tumultuous profession on both sides of these magic tricks. What started as a flirtatious teasing of the law with my best friend from highschool became and long and electric period of stings in the 80âs. Starting with braâs and lipstick to Gucci bags and Lamborghiniâs and everything in between. Eventually we were caught. I have only been released from prison in the last five years. And I tell you, I still have it in me. But Im not here to give you my biography, I want to offer some tips that iâve learned from recently being back in the magic show. One thing that hasnât changed is, its always best to have someone on the inside. From Best Buy to Barneyâs, the sales clerk can be your ticket. These people are the source of all the information you need. Get to know them, one is all it takes. I used to date a private investigator in NYC, he taught me a lot. But with the internet, we can all be our own P.I.âs. Finding the witty gay guy that works at H&M on facebook or instagram is one thing but finding the loss prevention representative or LP manager is another. Once you get to know a store, I mean really get to know her, she can be all yours. Depending on the heist and the profits will usually determines my dedication. Employee scheduling, inventory estimates, security measures, job listings for LPâs to see when the store is vulnerable, how is the stock exchange treating that company this month, this year, even knowing the manager lunch breaks can give you the perfect opportunity in making that elephant disappear. It looks like a lot of you get hot by just fingering lip gloss, which I adore, so I donât want to impede if walking the highline is not for you. But even so I hope I can help in any form of lawful ;) larcenyâŚ
A lot of things have changed since the 80âs of course. I can no longer walk into Tiffanyâs or Chanel and do what I used to but some things never change, Confidence and Direction. Confidence from a perfectly fitting attire and Direction from a well educated plan. There is a small society of professional thieves in my city, but lets not call them that. Magicians are all around us and the most important thing is that you donât see them. Stealth is a charm that can be acquired but the naturals know who they are. High level stealth is a custom modified Givenchy tote and silent stilettos to accommodate a new $25 dollar lipstick through the slip in the back of the bag. A look that is impossible to accuse of such small crimes. Or how to blend with the masses but look dignified and unique. An air of conviction that tells people your white magicians gloves have never been dirtied with theft. This all does take a lot practice, to commit to something that our society believes to be shameful, unlawful or dirty. So the need to educate yourselves on capitalism, consumerism, corporate dominance and abuse of power, marxism, philosophy, ideologies, politics, etc to empower yourselves is crucial to realizing this exercise of deceiving the law is not against a healthy moral. And in this knowledge you will be able to build your confidenceâŚto master the illusion. Or you can continue to lift panties for that quick cheap high. And in that case, any brand of tote bag is helpful to tailor to your needs. Try cutting a slit in the back of a Trader Joeâs bag and sewing a flap on the inside so nothing will come back out. This is a more discreet way of getting small products into your bag without the obvious motion of reaching over the top. This can also work in an purse with the right needle work to make it discreet. This is how me and my girlfriend began, taking two lipsticks at once sliding one into the slit of the purse and then putting the other one back in place. We came to understand the obviousness of some movements, motioning quickly into a bag or pocket, the bag clenched tight to the body, stiff shoulders⌠you must avoid this at all costs as these rigid human behavoirs among so many others trigger alarms in sales clerks, security guards etc. Becoming natural, care free and confident can make a blatant action of thievery look as if it was your mascara in the first place. I have stolen thousand dollar pieces while the sales representative was staring me right in my eyes, smiling. Always smile back.Â
And one characteristic of a good magician, is they never tell their secrets and they never flash their loots. But I find this community very endearing and I want to help. Another good characteristic is they always give back, in someway or another.Â
if youâd like to know more tips, more realistic ones to target your needs or full blown operations I am ready to help. If not, its nice to know what the kids are up to ; )

I want to lift at Target for the first time and take makeup, how can I lift if the barcode is printed ON the packaging? How can I lift makeup from target?
barcodes donât set off alarms so you donât have to worry. iâd say just get a basket and then go to a blindspot and but it in your purse, my targets have too many cams to lift at so I donât have any target tips really

Shoplifting Tips from a Loss Prevention Officer
Worst Techniques
Wearing out articles of clothing.
Opening packages and putting the item in your bag/pockets/whatever. Seriously, donât take things out of packages. If there are security tags on the packaging, take them off, but for the love of god stop taking things out of packages and leaving behind the empty boxes. Itâs really obvious.
Carrying whatever it is youâre going to steal around the store for ages looking for a nice empty aisle to conceal it in. Walking around with a bunch of video games in the bath towels makes what youâre about to do fairly obvious.
If you were in my store, and you draped your jacket over the stuff in your cart, Iâd definitely watch you. People do that kind of stuff to hide what their hands are doing (opening packages, tearing off security sensors, etc).
Best Techniques
Make you you actually look like youâre shopping. If you arenât looking at the prices of items and youâre just grabbing whatever it is you want off the shelf, it looks like a red flag.
Concealing the stuff that you want to steal while youâre in line waiting to pay for something else. If weâre following you, and you get in line to pay for all of your stuff, weâre probably going to stop watching you at that point.
Donât take things out of packages! it takes too much time, it makes noise, you leave the the empty package behind and if we see you set down an empty package, even if we didnât see you stuff the item in your bag/pockets, weâll probably apprehend you.
If youâre going to conceal the merchandise on your person somehow, donât leave the store right away after you do this. Chill out, browse, use the bathroom (a lot of retail stores have policies like thisâ once you go into the bathroom, itâs over, weâve technically lost sight of you). If we lose you for a while, itâs very dangerous to make the apprehensionâ stores face a huge liability if loss prevention apprehends someone and they decided not to steal the item and left it in the store somewhere.
Steal during busy hours of the day, when there are lots of people shopping.
Also, if youâre youngish (under 22 or so) and with a group of similarly aged friends, donât even try. The second a group of teenagers walks in, weâre probably watching them.
If youâre going to hide the merchandise on your person somehow, DO IT WHILE YOUâRE WALKING. Donât stop, look around, and then stuff it. I cannot stress this one enough. It is much harder to see what youâre doing if youâre walking around from aisle to aisle, especially if loss prevention is following you around on foot instead of with CCTV.
Iâd recommend not concealing merchandise in the bathrooms, but definitely using them after concealing merchandise, because itâs a break in surveillance. Iâd recommend concealing a couple things that you donât really want in addition to what you DO want (on the sales floor, not in the bathrooms), and then leaving the items you donât want in the bathrooms, because they will check the stalls. Confusion is key!

Signs LP are watching you
Today was my first lift since being caught. Talk about PARANOID!! It took me 5 HOURS to hit 3 stores in the mall. Â
Pre-Caught, Iâd hit about 5-7 stores in less than 2 hours and get 10x the amount!  I miss the confidence, adrenaline and FUN I had. I see it in you guys now.  Enjoy every minute of it people. I really hope to get it back one day.  Baby StepsâŚ.Or, baby hauls.Â
So I thought several people were LP in any and every store I went into today. I was crazy paranoid!!! Â ANYONE who made eye contact with me, pissed me off. Â Especially MEN in Victoria Secret. Mind your own business Asshole!!! Constant staring, constant looking. A lifters pet peeve! Especially today.
So one mistake I made when I got caught was I paid zero attention to the two LP that were following me on foot. I kinda noticed them, but it wasnât until afterwards that I kept kicking myself for not paying more attention.
After you leave a dressing room, walk away and then quickly go back as if you left something in itâŚbecause hopefully you did leave a few items behind so you have an excuse. Anyone rush in there? Pay attention.
You finally get into a dressing room to conceal and hear someone  go in the room next to you. If itâs not that busy, be very suspicious! Look underneath if youâre able to. Not completely underneath, Hahaha, but at their feet. Are they doing anything or just sitting there? If theyâre not trying on clothes or seem to be trying on 1 item for 10 minutes, be careful.
Go to random areas of the store and reach into a pile of jeans and move them or re-stack a couple shirts. That person who followed you, do they go there too and pretend to look at the same stack? How convenient.
Do they get in line behind you? Not just anyone, but a person whoâs been following you, checking your dressing room or constantly on their cell phone and watching you? Watch for this.
This could save you 1 Arrest, $2000, a ride in a cop car, community service hours, a boring diversion class and court costs.

Masterpost: How to Save Space & Stay Organized While Lifting:
Want to avoid getting caught just because SAs notice your bag looks lumpy as fuck when you leave a store? Want to stay organized and not constantly shuffle around the shit ton of clothes you just stole in your bags between stores?? Want to fit even more of those delightfully sinful clothes in any bag your evil hearts desire??? Want to skip the extra trips having to dump your stolen goodies in your car cause you canât control your lifting habit???? Want to finally organize the disgusting piles of all your hauls that have been collecting dust in your bedroom?????
Here you go u filthy animals.
Step-by-step illustrations on how to properly fold clothes in life, I tried this out today and sweet Jesus Christ on a cracker it works wonders for lifting. (Taken from a book I lifted called âSpark Joyâ)
Example: fold shirts this way and stack at bottom of your bag, and throw an unfolded item on top to cover the clothes. No stores will ever fold your new clothes this neat so itâs best to cover them to make it look natural if you have an open shopping bag.
*** Please note that this only works in fitting rooms or if you go to the mall restrooms after hitting a store⌠please donât attempt this on the store floor lmao cuz obviously ur done 4 if someone saw you folding shit this way out in the open.
Let me know if you try this and it works out for you too!!!
Much love đâ¤ď¸
