"The spirit. The Tale of a Fake Man." - Sergey Minaev's debut book, the first edition of which was published by AST Publishing House in 2006. The novel was written on behalf of the first person - commercial director of the Moscow office of a large French company selling canned peas "Tanduel" [K 1]. Its daily life, including dialogue with colleagues on work, visiting of known Moscow clubs, alcohol and drug use is described. The protagonist is imbued with cynicism and self-denial. The author raises in the book various problems of the world order, problems of the Russian society and a place of the person in this society.
