A man propped up against a tree looking up at the sky. Hands inside the pockets making it a bit chilly out. Wearing a working mans outfit, was he working on the yard? His foot firmly planted on the patch of grass with the other backed up against the  tree as if he owned that tree. He could be setting up camp in the woods but he can also be waiting to smoke a cigarette in his backyard away from the family.

Flower 

He is smirking or maybe about to say something. His hair is pulled back with an accentuation on the ear with the flower in it.he is a young adult with a beard that isn’t quite full yet. This person is strolling through a grassy area maybe conversing with a loved one.It looks about sunset due to the shadows with soft light in the background.

Portrait Assignment, “Mystery Man”

I Decided to photograph my best friend Kyle. I recently am in the process of moving and he lives about 5 blocks away from me coincidentally. I had told him that i needed photos outdoors and what better place than waterfall glenn. The directions I gave him were to keep walking and try different poses. Particularly in this picture I told him to look suspicious.I saw a family of pedestrians walking towards us and I believed it was a good angle to put Kyle in juxtaposed to the family.

So what i see in this picture is a main focus on the girl with a salmon colored sweater holding a coffee and slightly leaning against the fence of a baseball field. She looks interested and somewhat concerned. It must have been a cloudy day outside with relatively low temperature based on the clothing worn. In the background we can see she is standing by a baseball field. Interestingly enough her hair tips match her sweater.

I took this photo on the the 21st of march at around 6:45 am in Glenn Ellyn. So it was early morning with a mostly cloudy sky, the light blocked by the clouds hits the entire landscape equally. This gives an even spread across the ground, but at the same time shadows are cast in places where light does not touch like in the sloping tree.

This was also taken the same day but this was the first place of my choice. It was darker out and had a contrast in light and darkness in terms of the sky and the buildings. It almost looks like a storm is brewing. In the foreground you have to brick drive way which makes for a shallow beginning leading up to the main focus which is the ranch. Everything in the photo is relatively close together with a deep focus on the background.

This photo is taken the same day as the other one posted but a little earlier in the day. The main focus is the dock with a small lake in the background surrounded by trees. The focal point directs us to a small duck at the end of the dock. From the base of the dock to the trees you get a good sense of depth.

I took this photo in oak brook at the Peabody Estate. It was earl morning and the weather was mostly cloudy. The light was not that bright in terms of sunlight. IT definitely shows as the water reflects the clouds above. I saw a triangle within the broken tree so i decided to go with it.
