Some #sketchbook time for the last few days. Sometimes I take a bit of a break on trying to be continually productive. With all the shake ups here in the states I have been looking at my life and considering just how I approach being an artist and an immigrant person of color. Live my life truly or kind of shrink and hope for safety. I am not a radical but being different seems to be enough lol.

Trying to keep focused on what I can do in the lunacy. Actually considering the possibility of me being sent back to my country of birth for no real reason as being possible just cause of the sheer fuckery. Been away since I was a child so would have to readapt to the island life and of course still make art lol. Who knows but look at history and see what others have been through and survived then thrived. Built something for themselves and others.

Just finished a #sketchbook as usual they end up beat-up and worn filled with #sketches notes and wandering into my imagination and wanderings. I have been keeping up daily sketchbook time for more than a decade I realize. Still learning and realized how little I know. My style developed years ago and I've spent years wrestling with it and trying to figure out how and why I do things the way I do them. Now I (try to) let it flow and work on it and build on it. Doing what I do in these last couple pages.
